Hi ladies, I am due to transfer in August, likely early in the first week of, if there’s anyone else due to transfer around then, it would be great to hear from you!

@2021babyhope thank you!

@Rachae thanks so much. I don’t think I did really -the only thing I would say is I had quite an upset tummy a few days ago but I think that’s prob because I’m on a lot of progesterone and I’m not even sure it’s a pregnancy symptom anyway?! I have felt a bit tired-but again -I’m always moaning about being tired in general life! Haha!

I was very lucky in my first pregnancy with my son to not really “feel” pregnant the whole way through -I barely had any symptoms -so I’m prob not the best person to ask. I didn’t suffer from sickness -which I imagine is prob one of the first symptoms people get?!

I think tho -try not to worry if you don’t get symptoms because it is so early on after a transfer.

Babydusttoall · 26/08/2021 12:20

@mouse1234567 congratulations so happy for you!! Wish you a healthy pregnancy

@Rachae how are you feeling? How many dpt are you? Around 5dp5dt I started getting sore boobs and that's when I had a feeling but tbh not sure if it's because of the progesterone. But yes like @mouse1234567 I wouldn't symptom spot (although very hard) as some people get zero symptoms and still get a BFP!

Speaking of progesterone, it's honestly so horrible isn't it and not to mention messy lol but if it helps the baby stick then why not!

Hi everyone.

Thought I would join this chat if that’s ok? My first IVF cycle in 2016 I joined a group on netmums so I thought I would try somewhere else. I feel these group are amazing and can give you a lot of reassurance. Little about me first cycle previously mentioned we was lucky to conceive our DD and have 7 blasts in the freezer. We have decided the timing is right for us to try again and try give DD a sibling ( she’s asked for 2 one for me and one for daddy oh if only )

We started our FET journey around 7 weeks ago and I am booked in for transfer tomorrow. Feeling all sorts of emotions but my partner isn’t helping as I feel he’s very naive to it all. As we so SO lucky it worked first time he believes it will just happen again so trying to balance him out also has been hard. This might also sound very strange but it’s only just hit me that we are actually doing this. I’ve been doing my drugs in autopilot not taking the time to think what the end stage is then bang we are here.

Where’s everyone on their cycle etc?

Rachae · 27/08/2021 09:46

Hey @mouse1234567 ohh that's reassuring to hear on the symptoms! I have wondered for in a few days... but yea, I've got all the same ones now as my period to be honest. Bloated, tired, mild cramps, sore boobs etc.. And I think I'm preggers every month lol! So would be hard in a few days to even recognise anything new.
The 3 times I actually was, I remember feeling a real sense of happiness and craving steak just before period was due. Tho those ones didn't work out in the end, so I'm hoping for those symptoms not to appear!

@babydusttoall hello how are you doing? I'm only 2dpt now haha so super early! Agreed on the progestrone.. Totally gross and this bloating is not welcome. Rather unhelpfully I now look 9 months pregnant!

Hey @RickmanZ you sound very lucky in your journey so far, and a good lucky charm to have on this thread! Welcome :-)

Xx

Babydusttoall · 27/08/2021 11:36

@Rachae hello! I'm doing good thanks. I'll be five weeks tomorrow so still super super early days and it's nerve wracking. Just worrying constantly and hoping everything is ok but so far so good! Fingers crossed! Oh god yea the bloating is crazy lol. I just can't wait til they say say I can come off the pessaries. I wonder why with a frozen cycle you need to stay on them longer.
Aw i feel for you honestly the 2ww was a killer. Hang in there and keep urself busy and hopefully everything will fall into place for you! Do u think you'll end up testing early?

@RickmanZ hello and welcome! How did your transfer go? Fingers crossed for you! Xx

RickmanZ · 27/08/2021 15:02

@Rachae we have been very lucky. We are beyond grateful for how lucky we've been.

@Babydusttoall thank you. It went really well we have an embryo safely on board and 6 still in the freezer. Test date is 6th September which is only 10 days away which is very strange Confused

Rachae · 27/08/2021 18:25

Hey everyone, looking for a bit of advice please 😊
So I'm in the highlands at the minute in Loch Ness. My fiance has booked us a speedboat trip called 'the wee beastie' (!)... It says on the site that the trip isn't safe for pregnant women, that the Loch is generally still but they can't guarantee against hitting a wave.
I'm not preg tho...but is there any consideration on implantation. Or is that daft, as many women carry on exercising etc? Surely yoga positions would move things about for example?

Appreciate your thoughts! Xx

2021babyhope · 27/08/2021 18:29

Hiya @Rachae - I think the general advice is not to undergo excessive exercise and go about day to day as if you are pregnant.

It's quite vague advice sorry 🥺 but that's all I've ever been told!

Rachae · 28/08/2021 17:32

Thanks @2021babyhope 😊 well... I went on it in the end 😂 It was a bit hairy at times and I got soaked but was loads of fun. I figured being happy and laughing is great medicine for this process too.. And this is my 3rd attempt and I've tried the wrap myself in cotton wool approach, and it didn't work either. So.. hoping this afternoon hasn't affected anything and mentally feeling good!

How's everyone? Xxx

Babydusttoall · 28/08/2021 21:02

@Rachae aww I'm glad you're having a nice time! Hopefully will make the 2ww fly in for you! I know what u mean tbh I've always been one to wrap myself up in cotton wool also but at the same time I always think about how most women get pregnant and don't even know they are pregnant and do all sorts of strenuous activity.

I'm good thanks! Have been enjoying the nice sunny weather. Where abouts are you from? I'm from sunny Scotland xx

Rachae · 29/08/2021 10:25

@babydusttoall thank you, its fab 😊 This is the farthest I've been up in the highlands and it's so beautiful. Where in Scotland do you live? We're off to bridge of weir now to visit our friends. I live in a place called Wynyard which is sort of in the middle of Durham and Newcastle.

It's weird how we all have different wait times? Some people say 2ww and my clinic does a 9 day wait. Wonder why! I'm totally getting my usual period symptoms now, argh. So it's due in 2-3 days so I might know before otd. Bit TMI but my cervix is now really low, as per usual.
You never know until you know tho! Xx

Babydusttoall · 29/08/2021 12:57

@Rachae your making me jealous with all your plans lol I'm sitting in the house having a lazy Sunday today 😅 aww really yeah I know where you are, I've been to Durham for work. I'm from Glasgow

I know I thought it would be standard number of days for everyone but it varies so much between clinics. My clinic was 9 days also. The period like symptoms could be caused by the progesterone as well though so don't lose hope Smile have every thing crossed for you xx

hopefulhel · 29/08/2021 12:59

Hey ladies, hoping to join ye on this thread. Had my second FET on August 24th after a failed first FET in may of this year. Currently in the TWW trying not to go out of my mind waiting to test.

Rachae · 29/08/2021 14:45

@babydusttoall ohh small world, love it! 😊 Yea that's true on the progestrone.. I also read that FETs take longer to implant and I'm 4dpt now so I wonder if maybe it hasn't implanted yet. Tho it's hard to get my head around how that would work so late when period is due in 2-3 days.

Hey @Hopefulhel I think I was on your May thread! We've got a similar test day by the looks of it as my transfer was 25th xx

Babydusttoall · 30/08/2021 21:23

@hopefulhel welcome! The 2ww is a really tough time and the days feel like months. Hang in there. Hoping OTD arrives very quickly for you 🤞🏽

@Rachae you're doing super well by not giving in and resting early so well done you xx

Rachae · 31/08/2021 08:05

Morning! 😊 For those of you that got your BFP.. Did you have any cramping? I had period cramps on and off yesterday and couldn't sleep through the night with a severe back pain. Got quite painful period cramps again now. Not sure if this is period coming imminently or there's any hope? (6dpt today) xx

hopefulhel · 31/08/2021 08:24

@Rachae I have zero symptoms. I'm not too hopeful this cycle as I had zero symptoms last cycle too which was a failed cycle. I'm back for a blood test on Monday 6th Sept and have to do a HPT at home on Sunday. I don't know if I can hold out till Monday I think I'll be lucky to hold out until Friday or Saturday. Trying to keep myself occupied but the days are LONG

Rachae · 31/08/2021 08:31

Hey @Hopefulhel I think zero symptoms is the norm before 6 weeks.. A few people on here who got BFPs have said they didn't have any. Mine are definitely very period like 😕 If I don't start period today, I'll test tomorrow at 7dpt as it would likely show up by this point xx

hopefulhel · 31/08/2021 08:50

I'm 7dp5dt today. We transferred a 5BA embryo. We previously transferred a 5AA. I'm hoping this one sticks. We have four more embryos on ice but I've decided that this will be the last cycle I do this year.

Rachae · 31/08/2021 08:59

Oh awesome! 😊 My clinic doesn't grade with letters, annoyingly. I just know it was 'good quality'. I had a look online and compared my embryo pic and looks a bit like a 4AA. But who knows 💁‍♀️ Agreed.. This is my last one too until next year. I did a cycle last year Oct-Xmas and it pretty much ruined my fave season! Xx

Rachae · 01/09/2021 08:05

I've learnt my lesson today as I tested early. Clearblue was negative yesterday and FRER regular one (not the 6 days earlier) was positive faint line. I've still got the cramping and had it through the night.. Immediately after getting the line I started to get pink discharge. 😪
So AF is on its way. Next time.. I will absolutely wait until OTD as its the worst to know its a chemical.
Good luck to everyone 😊🤞 xxx

2021babyhope · 01/09/2021 08:13

@Rachae really sorry to hear that 😢 without wanting to give you false hope I think spotting is quite common at this stage and your lines may get darker!

I totally know what you mean about not wanting to know about a chemical. I've just been through one and it was 100% worse than not knowing - although I got a BFP on OTD so sometimes it can't be helped.

Do what makes you most comfortable 🖤 all here for you if you need support or a chat xx

Rachae · 01/09/2021 08:26

Thanks @2021babyhope, I really appreciate that ❤️ I think if it wasn't accompanied by such pains I might be hopeful, but this is always what day 1 of my period is like. I'm so sorry it happened to you too. No more early testing for me!
Take care xxx

Babydusttoall · 01/09/2021 10:24

@Rachae I'm so sorry to hear that, it's all a rollercoaster of emotions isn't it. I agree though, pink discharge can be a sign of implantation. And the period like cramps can also be due to the progesterone. Praying for you 🤞🏽

hopefulhel · 01/09/2021 10:46

I caved and tested this morning at 8dp5dt A big stark BFN.
