Hi ladies, I am due to transfer in August, likely early in the first week of, if there’s anyone else due to transfer around then, it would be great to hear from you!

@lucymills1234 I'm so sorry. It must be so hard. I also hope you can take some time off and find some light and hope for the future, perhaps discuss the options with your clinic...

@2021babyhope argh. September will come real quick though. You can think about it as a month off of IVF maybe!

Angliski · 23/08/2021 22:29

@lucymills1234 so tough, I am sorry. It’s rotten luck.

Congrats to bfp folk here.

I’m 11 days post transfer of 5 day blasto. I have a test but am scared to take it. Bit of nausea and tiredness a few days but feel fine today. This is my third fet, first gave is ds, second in May bfn.

Baby dust to us all. Will keep you posted!

2021babyhope · 24/08/2021 06:57

@Goodthoughtsonly yeah 😊 trying to use it as a positive and get myself physically and mentally prepared for a new transfer.

Planned a few day trips and stuff so I'm sure the time will fly!

mouse1234567 · 24/08/2021 07:35

@lucymills1234 I’m so sorry to hear your transfer hasn’t worked. You sound very strong and brave -I’m sorry you have had to suffer previously with transfers too-it’s so unfair. I hope you manage to speak to your consultant soon and find out what your next steps can be. I really hope for you and wish you luck in the future.

mouse1234567 · 24/08/2021 07:41

@Goodthoughtsonly congrats on your BFP-lovely news. I can understand why you were tempted to test. Resisting each day is getting harder for me! How are you feeling about your upcoming work trip? Hopefully it won’t all be too stressful. Is this your first baby?

@2021babyhope I’m sorry you have to wait for your follow up-is it NHS? It always seems to move through quite slowly but then suddenly it will be here and you will be starting again. I had a bit of a wait after my chemical but then my second transfer worked (now have a son). Really hope it all works out for you.

mouse1234567 · 24/08/2021 07:42

@Angliski well done for holding out -when is your OTD? It’s hard isn’t it -you sort of want to know but also it’s scary and you don’t want to burst your bubble either! I’m 7dpt and trying to wait till Friday or Saturday so that’s 10dpt or 11dpt. I’m finding it super hard tho and don’t have many plans tomorrow and the next day so worried I will test!!

Angliski · 24/08/2021 08:30

I hear you!

I’m 12dpt and it was a bfn this am :(

It’s the slog. The pills, the hope, the travel….

But it’s definitely not as disappointing or frightening as before I had ds.

Sigh, such is life. Thanks for checking in @mouse1234567

mouse1234567 · 24/08/2021 14:37

@Angliski I’m so sorry -that’s such sad news. As you say it’s such a slog and a lot physically and emotionally. Like you, I feel very lucky to have a DS from IVF and so although it’s all still stressful etc -he does soften the blow and it does feel different from the first time round. Will you try again?

Babydusttoall · 24/08/2021 18:00

@Angliski just wanted to say I'm so so sorry. Please don't lose hope. I hope you get ur BFP soon. Such an emotional rollercoaster. I've always envied people who are able to get pregnant without a second thought :( x

Angliski · 24/08/2021 19:40

It is a bummer. We are very lucky that our donor is up for another retrieval so we have hope that we can make a go at a sibling. If it hadn’t been for that, I’d be properly devastated. As it is today I am grateful to ha e my ds, my DH, my life and health and be able to try again- financially and emotionally.

Wishing all the best to you ladies xxx

Rachae · 24/08/2021 21:56

Hey everyone, hope you're all ok. Gosh it's an anxious night for me.. Embryo transfer tomorrow and I'm finding myself obsessively googling probability of thawing. 🙈 I've got 3 frozen and it's quite a drive to my centre.. I'm so scared we'll end up waiting around all day and they get them out one by one and they dont survive. Can someone tell me how irrational I'm being please? 😂 Xx

Babydusttoall · 24/08/2021 22:14

@Rachae good luck for tomorrow lovely! Haha don't worry the thawing process usually goes smoothly in most cases. Stay positive, keep smiling and try not to stress Smile will be thinking of you! Let us know how it goes x

juliet1990 · 24/08/2021 22:16

@Rachae
Nothing is irrational in this crazy game. I only had one left so the stakes were high!
Try and not google the bad stuff, focus on the positives. 3 is good to have, you’re lucky!
I had my transfer nearly 3 weeks ago now and got my bfp last week, it was last chance saloon so good things do happen!
Relax, happy thoughts tonight as tomorrow night you will be pupo so enjoy it
I’d say relax during your 2ww but I didn’t.
This group is great as everyone has your back.
Good luck and keep us posted x

Rachae · 24/08/2021 22:23

Aww @juliet1990 that's lovely. Thanks to both of you. I'm off to Lochness for a mini break after my transfer, so will hopefully have peace! Xx

Rachae · 25/08/2021 11:19

Morning everyone.. It's good news! I've had the first embryo thawed implanted. Such a lovely, calm experience this time compared to my last two. Hopefully that's a good sign. Xx

juliet1990 · 25/08/2021 11:48

That’s good @Rachae, all that panicking for nothing and hopefully the next 9-14 days are also as stress free.
Look after yourself and the little tadpole x

Rachae · 25/08/2021 11:56

@juliet1990 haha exactly! My test day is in 9 days time 😊 Hope everyone's doing good today x

mouse1234567 · 25/08/2021 12:17

@Rachae that’s so lovely it was a much calmer experience. It’s so nice when it goes smoothly. Congrats on being PUPO! How are you feeling? Great news they only make you wait 9 days for a test! I am not enjoying my proposed 14 day wait!! Do you have a blood test or home test?

mouse1234567 · 25/08/2021 12:26

8dpt this end and I’m having a quiet day so having loads of impulses to test! My husband has asked to hide all my first response tests from me!! He really doesn’t want me to test early and knows I can’t be trusted!! I find once I make it through to the evening time -I’m ok and another day of the wait is gone!

How are those other in the tww doing?

How is it going for those whose cycles didn’t work out and are planning their next step? Hope ok.

How are those in early pregnancy? It’s so wonderful when it happens but very nerve wracking too and hard to relax after infertility.

lucymills1234 · 25/08/2021 12:42

Hi all, thank you for your well wishes. My fourth failed transfer in a row is an awful blow and I need to decide what to do next. I have one frozen blast left, my poorest grade (3BA), so the decision is whether I transfer that first or cycle again. As I am now 42, I may go straight into another fresh round, which would be my third and would have to be the last. I started off doing IVF with results which seemed good for my age, given the number of eggs collected and the quality of blasts I was getting, but that initial optimism has been well and truly crushed.

I am single and haven't had funding at any point so am rapidly approaching the point when my age and lack of funds (I am getting into more and more debt) means it is the end of the road for me. It's obviously my hope that I am successful before I have to give up, but know there are no certainties with IVF.

@Rachae glad to hear your transfer went well, lots of luck for the 2WW.

@mouse1234567 hold out on testing if you can, better to do it later and be definite than early and still have uncertainty.

Rachae · 25/08/2021 21:45

Hey @mouse1234567 thanks 😊 I'm feeling pretty good at the mo. Had a very chilled day and just totally relaxing now. It's a urine at home test that I'll do.. In my experience only first response works! How are you feeling? Did you cave or has your husband hid the tests effectively 😂

Hey @Lucymills1234 I hope you're doing ok this evening xx It sounds like there's a lot to think about. It's only my two pence worth here... There seem to be lots of stories of lower grade embryos or even poor ones working, over the higher grade ones. (I've read so many medical journals over the last few years lol) I wonder if it's worth considering doing that last frozen round when you're fit and well? Ive only had 2 fresh rounds and so not as many as you, but I personally found them so much tougher than this frozen one. I'm guessing they're more expensive too. Big hugs xx

mouse1234567 · 26/08/2021 09:50

@lucymills1234 I’m so sorry it was your fourth failed transfer. It is also very unfair you get no funding-the money must really add to the stress of it all. Deciding what is the right move for you next must be tricky-what would you consultant advise -fresh or do your last frozen transfer?

mouse1234567 · 26/08/2021 09:51

I did in the end cave at 9dpt and not let my husband hide the tests! I am very grateful to say there was a second line -who knows what the future holds but fingers crossed it sticks around. OTD on Tuesday so will def test again then.

I really wish you all the best on this thread -I hope so much it happens for everyone. Will continue to follow.

2021babyhope · 26/08/2021 09:53

@mouse1234567 aaah that's so exciting, got everything crossed for you 🤞🏼🖤

Rachae · 26/08/2021 11:20

Amazing @mouse1234567 a huge congrats! 😊 Did you have any early symptoms just out of interest? Appreciate it's almost impossible to tell at this stage but I'm always interested in people's symptoms! Xx
