Hi peeps :)

I’ll hyperlink this to our old thread so we can continue bitching about crystal82 😂

I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@califlower82 - I would see the the flow stopping as a good sign.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Zest11 · 23/07/2019 18:07

@Cauliflower82 so glad the bleeding has stopped for you. Apparently red blood with IVF pregnancies is very common. Also, to give you some more reassurance the 2-3 weeks phase of the clearblue tests are the most inaccurate out of the three different indicators as it can vary so much for different people. (For the record on the 1 brief pregnancy I had, when I tested it said 2-3 and I knew it was more like 1-2 as I knew exactly when we woukd have conceived because we barely had any sex that month!!) As Kittykat says I would get the blood test tomorrow so you have a base to work with and then have another in 2-3 days to check that it's doubling xx

KittyKatSmile · 24/07/2019 09:19

@Cauliflower82 thinking of you lovely. Keeping everything crossed for you x

Mrbay · 24/07/2019 11:35

So I think I am out!

Do I need to call my clinic to discuss?

KittyKatSmile · 24/07/2019 12:07

@Mrbay is it OTD today? Did you get BFN on a stick? More information required please. And sorry if you are out but I'm not yet over the line on that conclusion...

Mrbay · 24/07/2019 12:29

Nope not until Monday but my period has arrived, so I'm pretty sure that rules me out.

Oh no, are you not? Is that ref to the blood tests?

KittyKatSmile · 24/07/2019 12:45

@Mrbay are you on progesterone? I have a number of reasons I'm not quite there yet. Will drip feed them as I get more information xx

Cauliflower82 · 24/07/2019 13:08

@KittyKatSmile are you okay?

@Mrbay I really hope it’s not your period - it seems to have arrived super early.

@Zest11 thank you

I’m all good :) we saw one sac with Fetal something. Heartbeat not there just yet but hopefully next Friday. Thank you everyone again for all of your support 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I’ve never been so tired in my life. I’m going to sleep 💤

Mrbay · 24/07/2019 13:44

@KittyKatSmile - yep, nightly as on a different one to the back door girls ;)
Don't worry you drip feed away.

@califlower82 - it's bang on 14-days since my artificial ovulation so it's about right I would like.
Great news about the scan tho :)

KittyKatSmile · 24/07/2019 14:01

@Cauliflower82 thank god. So happy for you darling girl.

@Mrbay I don't really think your period can come when you're on the progesterone? So maybe wait until OTD or closer and test? I don't want to give you false hope but I don't yet feel this is fully over. Of course you could check with the other experts, other than me, at your clinicGrin

CornishMaid1 · 24/07/2019 14:16

@Cauliflower82 Only just caught up today. Sorry to see the panic but glad that your scan was looking okay. The tiredness is just fun!

@Ginandtonic31 and @KittyKatSmile I haven't really thought about a NIPT test. To be fair, I never really thought much past actually getting a BFP! I think I'm going to see what the 12 week scan shows and see from there. I'm hoping at 35 I may be okay, but will see what that shows and take it from there.

@Mrbay sorry if it is your period. You can get it even on the progesterone (I googled it a lot at the beginning). It depends on how you are feeling - if it is just a little light blood without full on cramps then you may not be out yet.

Don't forget that you can just get some bleeding without in meaning you are out and if the progesterone goes in the front it is common for it to cause irritation and some bleeding - I mentioned it to the clinic on Monday and was told that is one of the most common things they get called about.

I would speak to the clinic as they may recommend checking your progesterone and whether than can be upped to stop the bleeding.

KittyKatSmile · 24/07/2019 14:45

Oh yes what @CornishMaid1 says makes far more sense than any of the rubbish I'm drip feeding. Keith should butt out now. I'm still going to keep hoping you're wrong anyway x

@CornishMaid1 I guess it depends a bit on what you would do if you knew you were having a severely disabled baby. I don't think the 12 week scan shows these things anyway but you do have to pay for the early one. I think there is another test later on the NHS that covers some of them but I haven't looked into that much because of my preference x

Zest11 · 24/07/2019 14:55

@mrbay I'm so sorry if you are having your period, that must have been a nasty surprise. I know you are reluctant to but I would test just to know either way. I tested early...7dpt and it was negative. But later that day I started spotting with cramps and by 9dpt it was a really heavy period. I was still on the crinone gel too. Hopefully in your case it's just a bit of bleeding from the cervix but a test will tell xx

Mrbay · 24/07/2019 16:25

spoken with the clinic, they've advised to continue as planned and test on Monday as they have known others to have a bleed and gone on to have a pregnancy but I am doubtful.
I tested this morning (9dpt) and negative. I've had cramps since Friday last week and now I've got my normal flow (pretty heavy) and pain.
I'll continue with the crinone gel but seems pretty pointless!!

CornishMaid1 · 25/07/2019 10:04

Hi everyone. I am having a bad day today as I've started bright red bleeding.

I've been to the doctors and they have referred me to the EPU, but they can't see me until tomorrow afternoon. The only place locally for a scan is closed today and I can't make the 3 hour drive to the clinic today. Sometimes I hate how remote Cornwall is.

I am at work to try to keep my mind off it, but I can't stand the waiting and I just have to sit and wait until tomorrow afternoon.

KittyKatSmile · 25/07/2019 10:16

@CornishMaid1 I'm so sorry to read this. Absolutely nothing I can say to help or to make time go more quickly. Thinking of you x

Cauliflower82 · 25/07/2019 10:42

@CornishMaid1 one thing I read was to rest up - could you possibly go home and do the same? I’m not entirely convinced and I’m sorry to be that pain in the arse who makes a suggestion you’ve probably already considered.
How far along are you? I also read bleeding early in ivf pregnancies is not entirely uncommon.
I hope everything is absolutely fine - I’m sending you lots of love. I know how excruciatingly difficult it is waiting - I had to wait a day too.

OP posts:
Mrbay · 25/07/2019 12:55

thinking of you @CornishMaid1 - hopefully its just a small trickle and nothing to worry about (which of course, I know you will be).

AliciaWhiskers · 25/07/2019 13:30

Thinking of you too @CornishMaid1, really hope it's nothing and tomorrow will bring good news. I can imagine the wait is agony, I hope work serves as a distraction for you.

@Mrbay sorry to hear your update too.

Not much to update here. We have our follow up appointment at clinic mid August. Between now and then we need to have a think about whether to do a fresh cycle or go for a frozen one and use the one frosty we have.

Also, I need to get back on the wagon with healthier eating! I don't usually eat sugar (I gave it up 4 years ago and it was the best decision ever, I'm a complete sugar-holic and the more I eat the more I want - giving it up completely has been really good for me) but I fell off the wagon when my period started last week and have eaten far too many ice creams and Gü desserts...Need to get back off the sugar and start running again - that's when I feel at my best.

Sorry for the waffle!

How's everyone else doing?

KittyKatSmile · 25/07/2019 15:20

@AliciaWhiskers that is so impressive giving it up totally. I don't really like sweet things but I eat an ice cream now and then if I fancy one so not having any sugar at all would be tough! Definitely get back into running! I've been for two runs this week while on holiday in France and they nearly killed me! I'm meant to be doing the Royal Parks Half in October in aid of Tommy's, the miscarriage charity; do it with me?!

Had my first brush with morning sickness while on holiday and it was a good un. Woke up at 3am with a mouthful of hot, acidic sick....! Thought you'd all like to share in that with me Grin

Sending good vibes to all x

Ginandtonic31 · 25/07/2019 15:33

@KittyKatSmile I feel you! I'm queasy all day every day, especially if I'm hungry I just have to eat anything! I've started taking biscuits to bed as I can't get up in a morning until I've eaten them. And if I wake up in the night it thinks I'm getting up so starts the sickness!

Cauliflower82 · 26/07/2019 08:38

@CornishMaid1 I hope everything goes well today xx

OP posts:
KittyKatSmile · 26/07/2019 09:20

Yes @CornishMaid1, thinking of you today x

AliciaWhiskers · 26/07/2019 12:12

@CornishMaid1 thinking of you here too.

@KittyKatSmile not sure I’d be ready for a half by October! How long are you planing to keep running for in your pregnancy? Lovely to run for a charity - good for you. Have you done half marathons before?
