I can’t believe we’ve almost got to 1000 posts. I didn’t even know that was a thing - thank you @kittykatsmile because I had no idea it would just max out and I can NOT go on without you all. That’s not even an option.

@Helene2019 thank you. We’ve been shown how to use the trigger today and it doesn’t seem too difficult. It looks intimidating though 😦. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for Thursday and hoping you don’t need to wait too long.

@KittyKatSmile 😲 I had no idea you could only go up to a 1000. Out of fear, I’ve set one up quickly and attached the link. We’re all making it popular, not me 😂. Especially you with your hilarious anecdotes. I hope you’re okay because, although funny one day to look back on, I can imagine that must have been really stressful.

@mouse1234567 is it possible at all that things are going to be okay with this pregnancy? In all honesty, I don’t know much but is it good that your levels are continuing to rise. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. It just never stops.

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I’m whingy today. Were the days before egg collection painful for you too? Hope you’re doing okay with the extra dosage.

I’m in a right mood today 😖. The senior nurse thinks the date for egg collection should be Wednesday again as she can see a group progressing nicely. I’m a bit concerned they’re not as worried about ohss as I am. I know they want as many eggs as possible and so do I but not at the expense of my own health. I feel totally 💩 right now. Utter poo. Everything is so sore - every time I take a step it feels like I’m being thrown down seven flights of stairs (possibly a slight exaggeration but you get my gist) 😂 😂
Seven more injections now. I’m at the same point as yesterday. Most of my follicles are about 17 but there’s a couple of 14s just lagging behind.

@mouse1234567 I am sooo sorry with what you are going through. Did the EPU tell you to prepare for that?

@Cauliflower82 thank you so much for resetting up the group! Look how popular Crystalflower is!! All the to-ing and fro-ing must be so annoying! I guess you just have to trust the experts about OHSS. Those 14s should easily go up to a good size by next week...I heard it's 2mm a day? Do you have any more scans? If it does end up as Wednesday we'll be back to being twins! I also looked and the weather for Thursday is 28C so we will be able to recover outside in the sun! I know what you mean about the discomfort and the walking. I feel like I'm walking lopsided as I have the soreness and tenderness on the right but literally zilch, nada on the left (damn dud ovary!)

@KittyKatSmile omg that sounds like a total nightmare! I hope everything has sorted itself out now! Are you back to work on Monday?

Been sunbathing all morning and feel flipping great for it! Started reading a good book. Can anyone share how a clinic may choose on either a 2dt or 5dt? I'm a bit concerned I'm not going to have many eggs so they will just say 2dt.

Thanks all-the nurse said there was a concern for miscarriage and ectopic. I don’t think the nurse can say it over the phone as has to be dealt with by a doctor but she agreed with me that the numbers weren’t looking good. I feel 100 percent sure it’s slowly fading away. It should have doubled three times in 6 days or minimum two times and it only doubled once. I’m glad at least I know early and I’m not going to go to my 7 week scan and get a shock with a missed miscarriage or something.

@Cauliflower82 is your trigger a HCG one? I think sometimes if they're worried about OHSS they give you one without. I was given one without anyway. Just the protocol I was on. But I didn't get OHSS.

Thanks for all the support. I can't tag everyone now we are on a new post as you don't come up in the app. I do have a work EAP but I don't want to have too many things on the go at once so I'm going to find a psychologist for CBT and stick it out. I feel a bit better today but im away with my family and having a few drinks which lightens my mood (I know the advice is probably no alcohol and I might be frowned upon but it's my brother's 30th and I just thought it might be my last drink for 9 months so I'm going to have a few).

@Cauliflower82 thanks for tagging me in the new thread! Yes it was very uncomfortable for me I did have a lot of follicles!! I think I got really whingy towards the end too as I was fed up lol! Oh yes it’s a barrel of laughs I know have to walk round with lube and pessaries in my bag so I can get them up my bum sorry for the tmi! It’s ok still having some more brown discharge so will just have to wait and see I guess!

@Zest11 I guess it depends on how many eggs and the grading of them. I wouldnt panic yet you said one side is going really well.

@Zest11 I think we’ll deffo be egg collection twins - despite my horror the nurse seemed adamant Wednesday was the way forward. She even dared mention Thursday and my face just crumpled. Do you have anything to take the night before? I have two tablets, one for the night before and one for the morning of, apparently they help with anxiety. I’m glad you’ve had a nice day. I’ve not done too much but I’m finding it difficult even walking downstairs. Thursday’s weather does look good. I’m up north so possibly not as nice as down south but I’m happy with a bit of sunshine. Are you taking the Thursday and Friday off?

@Ginandtonic31 no, it’s the hcg one 😭 she dismissed my worries of ohss and wants more eggs. Try not to worry about what anyone else thinks and just try and have a nice time :).

@FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF that’s reassuring to hear that this agony is normal. I don’t know how I can make it until Wed 😭 😭 the worst being I still have injections to do. My box is full now of old needles. I’m going into a bit of shock today - I can’t believe I’m actually on this path. I think I’ve been in such a fog recently that I’ve not digested too much of what’s going. Looking at all the needles makes it so real.
Can I ask a tmi question? Is it difficult getting them up the bum? I’m not even sure what to do really.

@Cauliflower82 it actually isn't that bad. This is a tmi post bit I've been putting one leg up on the loo and relaxing and then just guide it on with a. Finger. The sensation is weird and it sometimes feels like it's too low as you want to push it out but once you stand normally it's ok. I then just get in bed for a bit to let it settle in. You get nothing coming back out from it so I think it's cleaner than up the front. It's not natural but it's fine. I tell you what though, maybe I'm a prude but I don't want owt else up there! It's a weird sensation.

@Ginandtonic31 well I started off with out using lube but made me quite sore 😂 you’ll be fine with out for one night!

@Cauliflower84 it is so don’t panic! If it makes you feel better I have two boxes full one from stims and be from the fet keep forgetting to take them to the clinic with me to get rid! So many needles!! Lol ask away no it’s not and with lube it’s even easier I wasn’t keen but after trying one up the front door and all the mess it made I’ve stuck with the back!

Girlies I'm so pleased to hear so many of you are joining my new girl band 'The Back Passage Girls'. Hurrah. I find it a lot better. I do an amazing move just because it amuses me of bending over and sticking one up. If you do a move like you're trying to sort of swallow a fart (the only way I can really think to describe it) you can sort of feel it plop upwards. I find it intriguing. Don't mind that bit at all. After this morning's like misdemeanour where I had to go in the front door, it looked like there had been an explosion in a cottage cheese factory in my pants. I'm team back door all the way.

@Cauliflower82 I hate to imagine your face when she said Thursday! I bet you wanted to punch her! That's interesting they have given you some tablets. Is it diazepam? Did you ask for anything or do they just give them to you as standard? I have not been told anything about that. I think I will be OK until when I actually get to theatre. I will probably be given a sedative before my GA as I think the anxiety will hit me then. Yes I am taking the Thurs and Fri off due to the GA. Are you? I will also take the following week off too so will be off for a week and a half in total. I have a different queation actually...how much did your smaller follicles grow by from Thurs to Sat? My next scan is not until Monday and I had quite a few small ones as well as some large. I am just wondering how many or what % to expect to get to a decent size?

Thankyou @FinallytakingtheplungewithIVF I think I just panicked prematurely. I guess I need have confidence that we will get the 8-10 eggs said initially. I really worked myself up earlier thinking that the clinic would deliberately give me a 2dt as their success rates for 5dt are great and I would impact them because I have no chance of success. Then I had visions in my head of going absolutely mad at them, then writing to my CCG asking for another round of IVF and having to chance clinics. At the same time as that I was thinking I should tell them at my next scan on Monday we might as well cancel now if there's no chance of a 5dt as if I don't make it to EC our CCG will give us another round. And on top of that I think I have a fair number of follicles for a 5dt anyway, just obviously have no idea about quality and if they actually contain eggs or not. Anxiety sucks!

This talk of urmmm The Back Passage Girls sounds urmmm...unpleasant but in all honesty thank you to all of you for your openness. @KittyKatSmile when you said about swallowing a fart I thought what the hell do you mean by that...who tries to eat farts!! And then I guess you mean like trying to squeeze it in! Hahaha!

So bloody lucky I did arrange for my brother to be here as I did end up having a little melt down about the trigger, it's like severe anxiety/fear of anything medical erghhh-how did I end up here lmao! Anyway all done, it was weird didn't hurt anywhere near as much as the burserlin or menopur, I kept saying are you sure you did it right which of course the student nurse brother loved ha! I'm going to have a crystal moment just to say I'm going to thoroughly enjoy the next 36 hours woop.

@Cauliflower82 they seems so keen to get more follicles off you, mine seem so happy with the 13or so just praying they are decent! You'll be fine with the trigger it really wasn't too bad...

The protein - 100g they've now insisted on is making me feel sick , it's just too much especially with the added lack of poop (tmi sorry)

I'll be scrolling back through all the pessaries chat next week haha you girls do make me chuckle though!

Good luck for the scans tomorrow girls, when I was having mine I got that worked up I left no even knowing what follicles I had, so was non the wiser what was going on. I prob should've been asking the questions do the OHSS was more expected!

Has anyone done a freeze all? When did you have first period after EC? Doc said to me 7-10 days. Day 13 today and no sign, my bloating has gone down ALOT so now I'm not avoiding seeing people I know , (had to avoid a friend of my otherhalfs in supermarket the other day as he is a gossip and I looked very pregnant!) And my ovaries are now just achy rather than painful. I have also had a lovely allergic reaction to some body cream, so my legs are bright red and bumpy. Adding to bruised stomach from all injections I look really good naked hahaha when he got back from working away this weekend he was NOT in for a treat lol!!

Got my next app for 5th July to go through my FET protocol, looks short, my main worry is I don't have periods and no mention of my mate Northisterone. Got a councelling app booked as well for in a couple of weeks as not been feeling quite like myself for a few weeks now. If i start feeling a bit better I might cancel it.

@DawnK77 I had a period about 6 days later both times. I was surprised as thought it would be longer. I would say definitely keep the appointment regardless.

@Welshpugmomma I'm scheduled for a transfer on Wednesday.

@DawnK77 this all sounds very positive progress. Good to have a plan in place and definitely good to see a counsellor. They can help SO much in making you feel like yourself again.

@Welshpugmomma yep, back on British soil and think I'll test on the heatwave day of Thursday. OTD (official test date!) is Friday I think but that seems like overkill as that would be 16 days after ovulating and when not full of drugs I have a very regular 28 day cycle and last time got BFP on like day 8 (not an obsessive early tester here I should say; just needed to test early to get the wonder intralipids in. Which obviously didn't work!) Now that I write this I realise that my period may well arrive before I even test!

@Ginandtonic31 sorry, how are you feeling about the transfer today?

@DawnK77 I haven't had a freeze all but on my failed cycle it came 10 days after egg collection.

If it hasn't already been answered OTD means official test date.

I am now 1dp5dt as had et yesterday. We had one top grade blast to transfer - off my 13 eggs collected only one made it and none frozen.

I am feeling the pressure and trying not to but this is the last cycle for us so if she doesn't stick then no babies for me. I know I have to stay positive but it's feeling more difficult today (they only called this morning to say the other 4 didn't get there so can't be frozen).

I just need to do everything i can to get her to stick but not sure there is really anything I can do except hope.

For any ladies who have already had retrieval, how looking did it take you to feel right again? EC was last Monday and (tmi) although I haven't been bloated for days my bowels are still not back to normal and I still have tummy pains and soreness which are especially bad if I have a full bladder. Getting fed up off it now.

@Welshpugmomma so it looks like we have a crystalpugmomma on board as well as a crystalflower?? I'm glad you're injection free! I have found the buserelin the most painful out of all the injections so far too! What have you got planned for injection free day? Regarding the protein...is your clinic giving you specific diet advice? CCG is clinical commissioning group...just your local NHS area that decides on the fertility policy and how many rounds you get.

@DawnK77 good to hear from you. I'm glad your clinic seem to be trying to move things along swiftly! I know what you mean about the bruises, my husband was like but not in a good way when I showed them all. Sorry if TMI but I was later telling him how the drugs made me have a lot of ewcm and he was like "ooh, are you horny...can we...?" I was like nah...my ovary's aching and I got bruises all over me. Not feeling it! " regarding your missing periods I'm sure the clinic will have dealt with a similar situation before so will know what to do :)

@Ginandtonic31 that sounds like a LOT of injections. Hopefully not many more though!

I've woken up today and I definitely don't feel as achey or sore as I have been "down there" I honestly think I've ovulated already even though the nurse said that could not happen with buserelin! Will find out tomorrow at my scan I guess!

Cornish, my bowels are still not back to normal, I only went once in about 9 days, was really in pain - it added to the bloating, since Wednesday I have had the runs and was in bad pain last night. I do think though this is a mixture of the EC and the fact I'm on the lovely Metformin! So today in my head I'm not eating as I'm feeling a bit dish washer like still, but I've just been going with the flow and eating what the body fancied.

Kitty, ha, same here he wanted to know if it was back on the table, had to turn him down I've never felt less sexy, plus, when is sex actually allowed after EC? I've read some conflicting things. I'll ring clinic tomorrow about lack of period.

@Cauliflower82 I feel your pain on the wait...I had expectations in my head that were way ahead of what actually happened! Hang in there, the extra days are all good for growth and 17mm for some is great at this stage! I had some stragglers too but they made it eventually with a few extra days :-) I went from 2 to 5 in 3 days!!

@mouse1234567 So sorry to hear your are still going through this, really hoping and praying for you.

It's such a hard process and we all put ourselves under so much pressure that we forget to allow some laughs and happiness in! I hope the party was lovely and you had lots of fun. I keep all my meds on a little "station" and I freaked the hell out the other day when I went to get my meds and saw there was hardly any left...it's a bit creepy looking inside those sharps boxes and realising it's all inside your body!! I was scared about putting those little blighters up my bum but on EC day I managed 4 up there in one...so though ah well haha!!

@CornishMaid1 How are you feeling after your ET? I had mine yesterday too! Is your test date the 3rd July? We put 2 back as got Grade 1 and Grade 2 but they said due to cells the G2 wouldn't make the freezer. Lost the other 3 but really thankful that we got the 2.....and the possibility of twins!! Eeeekkkk!

Still feeling super bloated - feel like I look about 3 months pregnant and there is no sign of it going down! I met my friend who is 20 weeks the other day and I'm pretty sure I'm the same size!! Fingers crossed it starts to go down....if not and it works i'll be the size of a whale by the time I get to my first scan!

@Zest11 I was convinced I had ovulated as I couldn't feel a thing. But there were 27 eggs 😂

@Zest11 yes, I think that’s what they’re called. I told them I was incredibly nervous and they offered it so I decided to take it. The nurse I was speaking to yesterday said she doesn’t know why they don’t just give them to everyone. The little follicles had grown from about 8mm to some being 12 and others being 14. She didn’t mention any smaller ones - they always show me the screen but I never get why. I’ve no idea what I’m looking at and I just what the thing out my vagina.
TMI alert: my ewcm is CRAZY at the moment too, just crazy and has been for so long. Try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know but we won’t ovulate.

@ginandtonic31 3 for you too. I decided to calculate my injection dosage too 😂... why not. I’ve done 58 at the moment.

@Welshpugmomma how comes they advised so much protein? I’ve kind of taken your advice and upped mine too but I’m not sure I could do quite that much, but I’m trying. I’m glad the trigger went well - as you know I’m a bit nervous about fecking this part up. How are you feeling about tomorrow? I hope everything goes well.

@DawnK77 I’m really happy to hear you’re starting to feel a little more normal body wise. I’m really worried about ohss because they mentioned it could be in excess of 20 now and I like to stay on the side of caution and I just like being average. I know the initial number sounds great but I don’t want to feel afterwards and I am worried, like you were, about a freeze all and going back to more drugs. How short is short regarding your fet? I hope I’m not being too invasive.
