They told her in the Diary Room of Big Brother?!!

megglevache · 19/08/2008 07:38

the diary room?

Gosh she's young to have the diagnosis isn't she?

OracleInaCoracle · 19/08/2008 07:47

not her biggest fan, but wouldnt wish this on anyone! poor thing.

Piffle · 19/08/2008 07:49

If true then that's truly awful for her despite the fact that she is a fame tart. Appalled at the manner of the news being delivered. As she is in Indian big brother? Ultimately crude methinks.
But that aside devastating illness for a young mother. Or for any woman.

That is awful news. Im not keen on her but I wouldnt wish that God awful disease on anyone.

im a bit at the diary room consultation...call me cynical...

Imnotok · 19/08/2008 07:53

So a consultant decided to tell his patient she had cancer over the phone while she was on a tv show and thousands of miles away ,she was then allowed back in the house to announce on live tv she had cancer?

Hope she is ok .

RubySlippers · 19/08/2008 07:56

how awful for her

am horrified at the way the news was broken to her

Callisto · 19/08/2008 08:06

Even if it is true (which I doubt) how can this possibly be classed as news? MN really needs a 'salacious gossip' area for crap like this.

belgo · 19/08/2008 08:32

here on the BBC, it says she's been diagnosed with cervical cancer, and that it's in the early stages.

However she was told, Inadian Big Brother have had a huge amount of publicity thanks to her and Shilpa Shetty.

tiggerlovestobounce · 19/08/2008 08:35

It seems unlikely that this would have been done without her prior consent.

TBH I'm a bit about it.

I wonder if it is full blown cancer, or the irregular pre-cancerous cells that show up in a smear test.

Somehow, I think if it was full blown cancer it would be a much more private affair, and not announced in such a public way.

Whatever it is, I hope she gets the treatment she needs and makes a full recovery.

geordieminx · 19/08/2008 08:42

I would put money in it being pre-cancerous cells in her cervix - not nice but very common and a lot less serious than sensationalist "cancer of the womb"

geordieminx · 19/08/2008 08:43

x posts EB

TheMadHouse · 19/08/2008 08:45

TBH I dont care how she found out - I just hope that she gets the right treatment in time to beat this for her sake and the sake of her children.

It really pisses me off that you are all being sceptical of the diagnosis rather than hoping she beats it

Not sceptical - the fact is that in the first artical she had womb cancer, next artical, confirmed by her agent she has cervical cancer, which is quite often used when someone has pre-cancerous cells.

MaryAnnSingleton · 19/08/2008 08:54

well it's very that's all...poor girl.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2008 09:01

if she was in the BB house, the only way she has any contact with the outside world is through the diary room, so not sure why all the faces and of course she would go back in to gather her things together, no? And I hope I'm not being naive in thinking that surely Max Clifford wouldn't say it was cancer if it was just precancerous cells? Surely they can't be viewing this as an public relations opportunity? Or am I being naive?

I'm certainly not her biggest fan, but feel for her and her family.

poor girl.

similar age to me.

AnAngelWithin · 19/08/2008 09:46

even though i find her annoying at times i wouldnt wish this on anyone. I hope she gets through this. for the sake of her children if nothing else. shes too young. too similar in age to me.

4andnotout · 19/08/2008 09:52

I feel sorry for her Cancer of any form be it precancerous cells or full blown womb cancer is not a nice thing for anyone to have to go through. My mum had womb cancer requiring a full hysterectomy when she was only 24

wotulookinat · 19/08/2008 10:00

I like Jade Goody. Sad news - sad for anyone. Hope she comes through it ok.
