I couldn't see another post so thought I'd create one.

There is a police press conference this afternoon. I can't see a time for this but it's sounding like a routine one.

Perhaps they've found her?

I do hope they are able to bring some clarity to her poor family soon, it must be utterly unbearable.

Obviously this case is bizarre and peaked interest and of course people are keen for updates but I find live streaming a team searching for a body quite unnecessary.

So this is just an update on progress I think.

In high profile cases they often seem to hold regular press conferences, even if there isn’t much to update.

It could just be where the sonar can't reach, as stated in another tweet.
Must be rocky or too shallow maybe.

It looks like a wider, deeper river than I'd initially imagined. However now they're saying the phone could have been a decoy so who knows. I wonder if she wanted to go missing? Seems unlikely with two small children but who truly knows what goes on in someone else's mind?

I presume if they found her it would be breaking news.

I really hope they are going to say they are now changing course with the investigation, have ruled out the river theory and have some other avenue to explore. I watched one of the videos of Peter earlier standing in front of the river and I know it changes at different times of day, might not be as it seems etc but it is literally not moving at all. One of the most flat still rivers I’ve ever seen. As he says, if she was in there she’d be 5-10m from where she drowned and she clearly isn’t. The news presenter on this morning said by day 6-8 a body would rise to the surface, 4 days had been mentioned on here before so by day 11 she would surely have been found. It just doesn’t seem like she is in there.

There’s still a lot of unclear timings to be cleared up too. It was very vague last time that the family were informed at 10.50 but it didn’t actually say at what time Paul arrived to collect Willow. Hope they can clear that up and get any more info from the public. They need to find her 😔

I was really hoping today would bring some resolution.
It's frightening to think there is a chance of abduction, especially for those of us who are local.
I'm making me think twice about where I walk and at what time, and I'm 3 miles away.
I can only imagine how the villagers feel!

I hope if she's been taken/taken herself off that she's found very soon. Those poor little girls & her family/friends.

Apologies if this has been asked before, I'm new to the thread, but I just saw on the news that they're trying to account for the 10 minute window between her phone being placed on the bench (9.20) and it being found just after 9.30. Seems a bit of an assumption that it was her that put the phone on the bench?Why is it not the 20 minute window after the last confirmed sighting at 9.10?

I hope for her family and friends, there is some resolution to this mystery, whatever the outcome, however heartbreaking it may be.

Heard lots of sirens before now the helicopter is out but that could be unrelated.
