Hopefully Hollie and Paul will not be expected to attend court tomorrow

I believe one of the reports said it's to be a virtual hearing

If so, I've no idea whether this is being done to save time, for security, or precisely so that the parents don't have to leave Archie's side, but in the circumstances it seems a pretty decent idea

MsBallen · 31/07/2022 23:25

This is all so sad. Hopefully Archie will get peace soon.

There is a picture tonight with Archie having very flushed cheeks. Someone asked if he had a fever, but that message seems to be gone now.

Hes on vasopressin, that can cause the flushed appearance.

DatingIsDifficult · 31/07/2022 23:39

What are Archie’s dads views on this? Does he have strong views? Is he going along with it all because he can see how distressed Hollie is? There’s very little I’ve heard about him and his personal views.

I think these threads are a disgrace, it is ghoulish and insensitive for strangers to be making remarks about a family who are going through hell. You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

It's Archies own mother who is putting it all out there. Of course it will be discussed at length and of course people are going to have opinions!!

nolongersurprised · 31/07/2022 23:49

It’s not a recent picture either

I wish Holly peace, and the strength of heart to let go.💔

EmeraldShamrock1 · 01/08/2022 00:11

There is no evidence that he tried a tiktok challenge although there has been recorded deaths from the blackout challenge on tiktok, it is possible that he was trying it - 2 DC died in 2021 trying the blackout challenge.

Not too sure if anyone is held responsible.

There has been a few unhealthy tiktok challenges that have had devastating consequences from downing a bottle of spirits in one go to choking yourself.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 01/08/2022 00:12

I feel desperately sorry for Hollie too, she must truly believe giving the time he'll recover as a severely disabled child.

I take it back, I was looking at the wrong one. Gosh - he doesn’t look good at all

LadybirdsLadybirds · 01/08/2022 00:30

Archie's TikTok account can still be found online. He called himself 'painhub' and described himself as 'always depressed'. Not that this proves he tried to kill himself, but it's not great.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 01/08/2022 01:19

Poor kid.

Soubriquet · 01/08/2022 05:21

I wonder if the time and date will be pushed back again, or whether the hospital will go ahead with turning off all life support

Miss Dance herself has brought this into the public eye and is inviting discussion through her posts.

She wants people to read and hear and comment.

The fact not everyone agrees with her is the risk you take with that.

The only ones who should be ashamed of themselves are the (not very) Christian legal centre who have turned this into an absolute circus in the name of furthering their own agenda. Who have prevented the dignified passing of a child who should have been able to be let go weeks ago because he was already dead. And who have brainwashed the parents into believing their narative.

And who, the instant the life support is removed, will forget about Archie and will move on to their next victim.

exnewwifeproblems · 01/08/2022 06:30

It's just all so sad.

I think it could go either way tbh.

Although if they do grant any more time this will set a dangerous precedent, and unless they have some idea as to when the UN will respond, they won’t be able to delay for a defined period of time but will have to grant a permanent order to keep treating Archie until the UN specify otherwise.

Hopefully though common sense will prevail.

OneFrenchEgg · 01/08/2022 07:23

Desperately trying not to be judgemental (but obviously am) this comes across as a very troubled young lad who very likely ended up in this situation through his own hand and a now regretful mother frantically trying to deflect her own failings onto third parties such as TikTok, the NHS and the legal system.

'Her own failings' - are you saying those of us with children who have attempted or completed suicide are somehow at fault, or lesser at parenting? I've reported the post - these thread are getting more judgemental and dehumanising ('the mother') as they continue.
I'm staying as I'm interested in the legal challenges and I want to discuss or read views but also because I have sympathy and some insight from our experiences into trust failing.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 01/08/2022 07:33

i dont think there will be a reprieve
the decision for end of life has been made

figmaofmyimagination · 01/08/2022 07:44

I suspect the virtual hearing will say no new evidence has come in, the UN have no decision making powers in this instance and so the previous judgement stands. Then I think the plans will go ahead, just a few hours later than the letter said, possibly up to 24.

I hope they’ve spent some peaceful time with their beloved boy over the weekend. However misguided I feel they’ve been, they fought hard and I hope they can find some peace now.

Teder · 01/08/2022 07:47

I’m extremely uncomfortable with any criticism of Archie’s mother (or father), given she was the one who found her son not breathing and had to resuscitate him. That will have been exceptionally traumatic and trauma can do unimaginable harm. It’s likely she’s not slept well or functioned for several months. Her responses and actions will be shaped around the physical and emotional turmoil.

I am interested in the legalities of these threads and fascinated by these “armies”. The people who become involved are dangerous for families and I have nothing positive to say about them.

If you read the background story before this incident it's also likely to be true.

Nope not ashamed of myself. The family put this into the public eye and continue to do so.
I think it's terrible a mother would post pictures of her son in a nappy hooked up to machines and pose next to his body with thumbs up.
