Nigel Farage expels entire UKIP membership for bringing party into disrepute

The entire membership of UKIP across Britain – including councillors, MEPs and grassroots activists- has been expelled from the party following a hearing in front of a UKIP disciplinary panel in London.

Details of the reasons for the expulsions have not been disclosed, but party leader Nigel Farage confirmed to the media that it was in response to allegations that the entire membership was full of intolerant, narrow-minded, crackpot dingbats who pretend to be libertarian but in fact simply don’t like foreigners and homosexuals much.

In response to the mass expulsions, the former UKIP membership said they “feel sickened” at the way they had been treated and planned to appeal against the decision.

Immediately after the expulsions, the disciplinary panel members announced they had also expelled themselves from the party for bringing the party into disrepute, leaving Mr Farage as the sole UKIP member.

Farage has suspended one councillor - the Oxfordshire one at the centre of the 'gay blame' case - for bringing the party into disrepute. Think the article above is making the point that the whole party shares that councillor's views!

However, the Oxfordshire councillor is only the latest UKIP member to say something completely and utterly stupid, ignorant, and offensive...

Well as Farage has said "UKIP plan to vet all 1,818 candidates to ensure it didn't have "extremist, barmy or nasty" views" I expect your satire may well come true.

In my experience it really is seriously difficult to find a UKIP member without barmy or nasty views.

There is a strong rumour, but I couldn’t possibly comment, that the BNP are considering a reverse take-over.

Did you know that UKIP refuses to allow current or ex-BNP members to join? Other parties have BNP members or ex-members, but not UKIP.

The BNP doesn't have the brains to attempt such a thing they are a rabble of ex cons and lump heads.

Wasn't there a UKIP bigwig in the paper the other day saying Glasgiow council is run by 'gays, Catholics and communists' (which for Scottish voters isn't at all a bad thing, much better than UKIP's little Englanders)

One then has to ask, as the BNP has lost 68% of its registered membership and Ukip has increased theirs by 66%, is this a coincidence?

If an ex BNP Member in handing over their brand new Ukip Membership forms don’t have swastikas tattooed on their knuckles and forehead, how would Ukip know where they came from; if they don’t vet their councillors, they as sure as Farage has a pint of beer in his hand, don’t check their Members.

As for the other political parties, I agree there should be major BNP infiltration concern, as WHERE DID THE OTHER 2% of BNP MEMBERS GO????

Have they joined the Tory Blue Rinse brigade, or the pro EU and immigration Labour and Lib Dem’s? Hmmmm.

Your second paragraph doesn't agree with your first.

UKIP doesn't allow ex-BNP members to join. That's what I wrote. You then said that Farage admitted ex BNP members might have got through their vetting procedure. So they don't allow BNP members to join, there's a process to weed them out. Which is what I wrote. And it remains true.

None of the other parties have that.

If both UKIP and the BNP had an identical number of members before, that claim might make sense, but it's just nonsense otherwise.

Why is it that this councillor's religious views only became news when he left the Tories? He's an ex-Tory councillor and has been for decades, but he defects to UKIP and suddenly it's "OMFG UKIP LOONIES!!!21111! LOLWTF".

In fact, it could be argued UKIP had no vetting procedures at all when it came to a member who was willing to stand for election. In their haste to make it look as if UKIP were a grassroots party with strong support across the board, they were prepared to put any old name on the ballot paper, as long as they had paid their party dues.

Flatpackhamster you make a few very good points, especially regarding an ex Tory Councillor – but may I suggest that similar to Mr Farage, radical ex Tories of steroids, BECOME ‘ex’ Tories for a reason?

Regarding my main point, whether it makes sense to you are not, Farage ADMITTED weeks ago that although they thought they had vetting procedures in place, maybe due to the numbers involved getting check out, ex BNP members are now Ukip Councillors – tell me I’m wrong and I’ll find you proof/links.

Finally on the 68% fall in BNP Members and 66% rise in Ukip Members (figures published by both partys), remembering we are talking about signed up members and not headless supporters, feel free to publish the member numbers involved, I’m was just quoting percentages.

Apparently political parties do that all the time.

Ukip on the back of one poll by the Independent newspaper, claims that Ukip are the most popular party based on their sample of people.

The fact the Independent gives Farage newspaper space as a contributor, and their young socialist star Own Jones recently held out his hand to Ukip, as he thinks they have similar ideals (yeah right), may have politically colour their sample.

They're the same thing. Ordinary members stand for election.

When a party puts a member up for election, part of the process that most (though until recently not UKIP) do is vet the potential candidate before they will allow them to stand under the party banner. It is this which UKIP has spectacularly failed to do resulting in more than the normal quotient of ex-BNP members and swivel eyed loons standing as UKIP members.

Can anyone explain why the media is so flipping obsessed with UKIP? I cannot switch on the TV/ open the dailymail newspaper without seeing Nigel farage. And he appears to be a permanent fixture on QT. Why does this niche party get so much exposure? Especially when its members are such muppets?

Ubik 1…I believe Ukip gets exposure for two reason;

Firstly on Uk Domestic policies Ukip has joined the ‘oppose everything’ school of opposition, but as they also oppose the official oppositions policies, they get a double bubble – it is part of a cunning plan.

Then on the broader subject of Europe, on every bit of negative news, the question then moves on to ‘should we be a part of this malarkey’ and as Ukip GUARANTEES to get us out, they get a platform.

The fact that Ukip CANNOT guarantee to bring the Uk out of Europe without changing UK law, is here nor there – other than Ukip call the other main political parties ‘tricksy’, as voters cannot believe a word they say and that "there time has come", to lie.

Most of the media coverage is disparaging them in order to try and prevent their progress since they are the anti-establishment party. The media only focuses on muppets deliberately because they want to turn people off voting for them.

They are anti-establishment, a grassroots people's party, with few of the usual Oxford PPE think-tank planks, and the establishment are worried that they may scupper their plans.
