Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.

Welcome all! Especially to Persis for another L M Montgomery inspired username.

I've been up ages because I had to put lamb in the slow cooker and then couldn't get back to sleep. Will now crack on with hoovering and bathrooms.

Keep on telling myself - having guests is fun, having guests is fun, you love these people....

Having guests is not fun 😑

afresh we also have guests coming who haven't specified a time even more annoyingly we then have to go out ourselves for lunchtime so if they don't get here in time it's going to be one of those awkward getting ready to leave while your guests are still drinking their tea situations...

I feel slightly better today I was properly hormonal and weird yesterday. I was on edge all day and jittery.

Ds didn't nap at all yesterday

I'll try and do the basics today just so we don't get a laundry backlog. My focus for April is continuing with storage solutions so each zone we do I'm going to try and work out the storage we need to help things be more organised. And the Easter holidays for the next two weeks we've got lots of days out planned but dh back to work Tuesday then working all weekends in April so it'll be pretty tiring for us all just need to keep the dc busy and occupied so I don't go mad! At least chicken pox is done now!

Enjoy your chocolate everyone. Dh has got me a HUGE Lindor egg and a huge bag of galaxy eggs. I feel a bit bad I only got him a medium size Cadbury egg...

Dc haven't got theirs yet as dh likes to ring the doorbell at random times during the day and leave eggs on the step when I was a kid we just got given our eggs in the morning but this is how dh remembers Easter so I just let him get on with it!as for egg hunts we are going to one tomorrow so I don't have to do anything

She is indeed crazy afresh she’s in a limb flaily gurgly screechy phase and has recently mastered getting from A to B by pushing herself along on her back I’m managing to capture a lot more smiles on camera now, she’s pretty much always grinning away now.

Well the egg hunt is done, really pleased with the Caglets as they woke and found the first clue before 7 but I said it was too early and they got breakfast then waited until just after 8. So I got a bit more sleep.

We are staying until about 4 but I really want to go out for a bit as it’s hard keeping them in the flat all day. Wooden floors and grumpy downstairs neighbour.

Aims for flying in April? To do some. Life got a bit too mad in March.

I am still in bed. Spent all of friday in bed and most of yesterday in bed. Still not feeling right. And with only the people here (although they have gone to church) I have nothing I have to do. Easter is one of the times one of the people likes complete control so who am I to argue when they are still mostly capable we just ignore the over run timings and slightly under/over cooked bits

I did manage to get 3 loads of handwashing, 4 loads of washing, sort through half of my wardrobe (unit not entirity) and reorganise it into a better system thank you ikea , and put clean bedding onto my bed.

If I manage enough energy today I would like to try to tackle some of the chaos on my floor but it is Easter sunday and that would get me seriously frowned at for not being the done thing. Tools down and nothing that could look like work kinda day here. Guess I will just have to sit in a corner and knit oh the hardship

We are out at relatives for lunch. The dc are over tired which is unfortunate. Trying to get them to engage with family members is tricky as they just want to zone out in front of TV (which is on and as it isn't my house I can't just switch it off!)

I can't wait till this evening when I can have a drink and eat my chocolate!!

I'm joining, off to work now so will read through later when I'm home, happy easter everyone x
