Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.
Newbies, lurkers and returners always welcome!
Back tonight with links for tomorrow!

Hi there, I shall tentatively join. I am definitely a failure at housekeeping, and did flylady for a while a few years ago. Can barely see my sink now though.

I'm away for Easter so will get properly stuck in when I'm back home on Thursday. Or realistically Friday.

Stilllivinginazoo · 31/03/2018 18:39

afresh best nip in quick and nap one before I greedily scoff the rest no self restraint it's sad really I bake lovely things buty guilty secret pleasure is shop bought cakes and biscuits pref eaten from packet in swift fashion before anyone notices and wants anyBlush

Hello *F&F!

A warm welcome to Adatwist and Little Tykeboy!
Don't worry - it's all slow and steady with the Flylady system (hideous barftastic language but underlying system sound!) - and you will get there. It's just a series of small steps and routines done relatively consistently in designated zones; it really does help and you will see an improvement over time!

Signing in for April!

Cagliostro · 31/03/2018 22:42

Just signing in before bed, having just set up the rather complicated egg hunt. And am sitting munching through the leftovers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Links for Sunday 1st April
Babystep #1 shine yo’ sink
Mission - NOPE it’s the weekend. Not to mention Easter 🐣
Daily focus - renew yo’ spirit - pretty sure that this week this should involve lots of chocolate.
I am a little confused about the zone... think we should be back in the hallway/porch as it’s the new month? But then it’s only one day... I dunno. Just declutter, erm, somewhere. Or, you know, don’t. Because easter. We can figure it out on Monday. Although that is a holiday too of course. Great start to the month eh?
Oh also the monthly habit for April is... still showing as March. But according to the master list it’s making the bed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Night folks! I must get to bed.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 31/03/2018 23:06

Signing in. Welcome to AdaTwist and littletykeboy. Thanks for a lovely March thread Cotswold BrewCakeFlowersEaster Smile and thanks for starting this one Cag Easter Smile.

Cagliostro · 31/03/2018 23:36

Yup we had leftover eggs from the hunt so sat nibbling them. It would totally ruin the illusion to have them left lying around wouldn’t it? Once again the clues here were pretty geeky. Including descriptions of various historical people using icky facts from horrible histories. And lots of maths, where the answers correspond to letter strings that spell out the next location.

Caught up now, welcome ada sorry I missed you earlier! Not being a great hostess there (story of my life) sorry Blush!

Right, time to attempt getting Cagletini into bed for a second time. DS isn’t snoring like last night but DD appears to be having a conversation in her sleep! We’ve decided to go home tomorrow evening, rather than Monday, due to weather predictions. DH took back all our dirty clothes today so he can wash it all before work and the Caglets and I have minimal luggage. We leave pyjamas here and this time I sorted out a few baby things like nappy sacks and muslin cloths to leave too. Also managed to buy a super cheap stroller (6m+ so she will be old enough to go out in it next time we stay) so that in future we have a little buggy to use while here without having to cart the big pram up the two flights of stairs to mum’s flat! Not to mention using the tram and the always heaving bus at this end, it’s much easier with the sling but I don’t want to use the sling for the whole visit. And look, she likes it! :o

Anyone have any particular Flying aims for the month? I’m back to simply writing ta da lists every day again as I lapsed on that and I do think it helps me feel more positive when I can see that I’ve achieved more than I thought. Other than that, I am really hoping to make the most of the Easter holidays. Virtually all clubs are off so after DD’s ballet show on Wednesday we have a lot of time spare. Lots to do. Eek.

Right. Cot time. Once more into the breach dear friends. Hmm
