That got a little tight for link posting

Btw stressy you have control, god knows what would happen this month if I even attempted linkie posting. Last month was a bit of a disaster. Blush technical difficulties stopping laziness

Oh wow, good catch Hills, thank you! Had been so distracted by washing machine I totally missed that we were coming up to 1000 posts yeah right I would have missed it anyway. Last month was not a disaster!

For newbies, we hit 1000 posts Shock so hopefully you have found this new thread from the link on the last one.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/01/2018 09:32

Just seen your post on the last thread Hills. I can completely relate to the need to change job but not actually doing it. In my case it is because childcare limits me hugely. I would never choose this career again as to do anything properly with it is so incompatible with family life but then so many jobs are like that these days. Of course when I was young and choosing a job the thought of fitting one in around kids and school run etc had no impact on me.

Ok, a big welcome to everyone for part 2 if the thread. Waves to Cag, Squirrels, Fooland, zoo, Afresh, Bower, Callme, SC, Cotswold and everyone else.

Ta da:-
Kids at school

To do:-
A load of admin stuff
Enquire about a different job
Venture into boudoir
Play date after school
Laundry which is challenging as washer needs to be handled with care.

Callmecordelia · 23/01/2018 09:45

Cagliostro · 23/01/2018 10:39

ta da so far
✅all clothes put away (about 5 loads 😳)
✅red book found by DH last night, and checked today for baby clinic times.
✅spellings and maths
✅Caglets finished their spelling sentences, DS did me really proud actually, a few months ago he refused to write anything really but he happily made his sentences into a story (his idea) and even used metaphors etc ⭐️🎉
✅emailed council about hall hire for World Book Day party and Caglets’ birthday. Absolutely determined not to leave the latter to the last minute this year.

Going to head into town now en famille as loads to get sorted.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/01/2018 11:11

Great list Cag!

Ta da:-
Rang up about a job. Can’t do the hours. Surprise, surprise.
Morning routine

Bowerbird5 · 23/01/2018 12:25

Whew!

I saw it was getting near😳 after I posted. We are a lot of chatterboxes.

Noticed a very fancy frittata, sadly posted a day too late on an active thread and some other impressive recipes this morning.

Well I am up not much else. I was fine till I got up now bloody coughing again. Aargh ! I am sick of this!

Going to be a fed and none dead day here too I fear. Haven't done room yet. I was full of energy but DH was still asleep so I didn't think it fair being his last day at home. Then I got on Mumsnet and Pinterest and the AGA shop😱 thought I might get DH to sneak off down there but no not going anywhere which was a lie cos he has just gone out in the car! Probably for food as there is very little in the fridge.
The 3D plan is the way to go!
So what I have achieved is that I am now back to wanting a Range!
So I have chased up Howdens who came last year and the guy has left and no one knows where the plans are. Wouldn't you think with all that kitchen equipment they would have a BIG drawers labelled plans and inside there would be a filing system in either alphabetical order of surname or the months of the previous and this year! However manager phoned me back and he is coming out tomorow😳 means I will have to tidy up a bit.
So since I am back upstairs I am going to tackle bedding box.NOW!

Someone left a big mess in the sitting room😱 it is those BRCS and it has wool poking out😳👈 I wonder who did that?
I have rung about driving offence and got a bloody answer phone press this that and the other then we are very busy do it on the timer Net! Arrrggh!
Two phone calls and not even Wednesday. Didn't have to ring school because did it yesterday and just thought there is no way I'm going to be up for it. If you knew me you'd know this is very unusual.while others skive off I'm in. Soldiering on. Bedding box NOW!

Sorry to hear about washing machine again.it is always January isn't it! Big things suddenly need replacing. Ovens looking dodgy and would explain undercooked cake. We are eating it anyway as it tastes delicious. Either oven or too much rum...looking at you Nigella!
Bedding box NOW! May be a while. Wing flaps to everyone.

Subtleconstraints · 23/01/2018 12:50

I have however finally got my arse in gear and have booked an app at bank to open teen accounts for dd2 and D's esp as dd2 thinks I am a walking ATM a cash card and her own budget is the way forward

Bowerbird5 · 23/01/2018 16:10

Hi SC you sound very busy. I have often wondered...how far apart are the two sites?
But you will have to come on here to lift you spirits after op.You have all really helped me while i have been off.Not one person from work has contacted me apart from Head when I have requested once.Sad

Your trials and tribulations and little funnies have kept me going so SC you will need those bits.I wouldn't have a clue how to do it but would check each day and do little Ta Das for people if that helps anyone. Not very ICT savvy...I haven't managed to post photo yet, despite instructions i need my hand held I think. Also not been on the main computer because DH has been glued to it which is why he hasn't done much housework. He will think he has though.I am hoping DS2 comes for his tea and I can nab him.He has a better phone too.

TA Das
I have done Bedding box! Actually it was easier than i thought and quite tidy.I must have done it in the hols and forgotten. So double bed, single bed and curtains. It is a big one.Found some very old ones and put them up for a change.
Dh helped me change bed. I have matching to curtains and eiderdown slip cover in a completely different colour scheme. So all looks lovely apart from mess in front of wardrobe tomorrows job. Need to sort through and i was too knackered to do it.
DH did my speed thing on line so I have it booked and they do Wednesdays only five miles away.Result! So will go in pm he says I will be with all the boy racers.
I said, "Yeah, I might know some of them that would be fun!'
Past pupils I am thinking.DH then says he will take meHmm
Also cancelled me appointment for eyes tomorrow. It is early and I was so wheezy when I got up at 11am I think i better wait.Have Howden man so time to clear CHAOS and no DH to make any mess cos he has just left.I was quite grumpy with him today.I am feeling really grumpy. So fed up of feeling ill.struggle to get a sentence out after 1 week of steroids. Going to ring GP tonight if he hasn't phoned by then I was expecting bloods back today.
Kiddie winks will all be home or activities aahhhh! Lovely. Missing my cuddles from school.Sad

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/01/2018 16:39

Don't mention school to me bower
DS wanted come home today but that ment going via "d" floor to get to student services which they weren't allowed, not even teacher access due to a "serious incident"
From what I can gather via friends kids involved a teacher being seriously assaulted, poss stabbed and police having drag the little guilty little f*er out in leg restraint and spit hood.bloody terrifies me to think these things are happening in schools.heart goes out the teacher and their family and those still left teaching there....

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/01/2018 16:39

PS.ds still no better and if no improvement he won't be going in tomorrow

Bowerbird5 · 23/01/2018 17:44

Oh my God!
That is awful. Since Dunblane (sorry) we had security coded doors. They fitted ours a week afterShock Only two schools in the city were GIVEN them, we hadn't asked.
No one can get in without a member of staff knowing about it.
A few weeks after a man was seen with a gun.The police said to lock down the school and they would check it out. They arrived three hours later. We had to keep all the kids in over break and dinner and away from the windows.
It turned out to be a guy with an air rifle walking through the park.
We just couldn't believe the police. It was very scary.

Nothing has happened since but we have security gates on the playground now that are in lock down mode.
This is a Primary school. My local village one has a buzzer now. You used to be able to open the door and walk in.
That poor teacher and colleagues and the kids, how scary. Was it one of the pupils? I was threatened once but it was a butter knife.
They might want to do an assembly about it in which case if he can manage it it would be beneficial to go even if he just went in for that and came home if that is possible.
Poor lad a bit of a cuddle with mum tonight and some chocolate.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 23/01/2018 17:48

zoo that is awful and so scary Shock

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/01/2018 18:48

15yo by all accounts.heaven alone knows what his home life's like he thought that was appropriate
Principle sent email at 5pm that there was an incident where pupil behaved in violent aggressive manner.no students at any risk.polics were involved as school has no tolerance this behaviour.any concerns please contact us.
I feel for that poor teacher.you trying to educate and improve likes ffsds barely touch tea.pant and stumble to drop off girls.looking doubtful he be going in tom anyway
I am confident that kid won't be back.the sanctions there are swift and severe

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 23/01/2018 19:25

Oh gosh zoo, how stressful for all concerned.

Bower, always nice when you find things are tidier than expected Smile.

SC, please don’t worry if you can’t do March. As you say, best not to commit 100% yet; I can always do it if you can’t even if that is last minute or someone else may be able to.

Hills, thanks again for saving the thread Flowers!

Wing flaps to Afresh, foxes and everyone else.

Ta da:-
Ready meal tea planned
As much laundry as feasible
After school play date
Both DDs’ reading
Tidied up after play date
30 mins decluttering in boudoir
Started filling in some forms for the possibility of some extra work

To do:-
Bedtime
Go through some school stuff
More laundry

foxessocks · 23/01/2018 19:34

zoo Shock

Just put kids to bed and dh found a tiny poo on ds bedroom carpet! Ds has not pooed today. Dd then confessed "it might have fallen out of my bum earlier" ShockGrin kids!!!!!

Turns out she went to the toilet earlier while ds was sleeping on me and thought she'd be helpful by getting some baby wipes before she called me so she went for a wander basically mid - poo!!!

Anyway...my ta da list
Daily routine finished
Ironing
Found some old toys in bedroom so asked around if anyone wants them.
Took a few random things out of bedroom
Sorted out my shopping plan for tomorrow (got to brave town with dd and ds)
Sorted out ds chest of drawers, got bagful of clothes ready for my nephew. Put away clothes that friend kindly gave me today.
Made note of what he needs clothes wise once I have a bit of money (January just goes on and on!!)

Kids asleep. Coffee brewing. Phew.

HillsBesideTheSea · 23/01/2018 20:00

Bloody hell zoo Shock Glad the school have your faith that it will be dealt with well.

foxes I am sorry shouldn't laugh but it is like when they are learning to use the potty and pick up the poo to show you. Dd proud of her initiative taking? Bless her for trying though.

Stressy no worries it crept up on us all. ShockGrin

SC nice to see you

bowers hope you feel better tomo. Sorry you feel ignored by work. Is it possible that illnesses in general are just making life super busy for all not ill? Or is it normal for your place?

Well I was right about the kind of day it was going to be but I waaaay under predicted it Hmm Ds got into a fight after school. God knows what the other kid looked like, ds is on concussion watch I am also very very grateful not to be my line manager. Shit has hit the fan and work and it is going to be a tough couple of days weeks until it gets sorted. Thankfully it is possible to sort and it is just extra work with short timescale but not demoralising and should improve things in the long run iyswim?

Everyone fed, no one dead That said there is a hot epsom salt bath with my name on it once I have removed half the field ds seems to have left in the tub after his earlier ShockHmm
