School run
Supervise lil zoo bath hairwash
Make hot chocolate as short sharp shower got us
(Impressive rainbow after tho)

Ginger fairy cakes made for pud (to go with tinned pears)And Tom's pack ups

Three loads washing done today, folded n put away

Wish could tempt D's to eat.hes had a biscuit with last banana milk and a bite of my banana....

Bowerbird5 · 25/01/2018 17:39

Macaroni Cheese oh how I would love a plate of that. No dairy now.😒

Thank you for all the good wishes. Head was surprised when I rang to say I was up for it as no frost and 5 C.
Lots of cuddles from Year 6 - Yr 1. Some parents asked me on the way in to so that was lovely had a good chat to a few. There girls had been concerned I wasn't at school. I had that class last year.
So I had my first group but only two out of four had arrived. One told me something important that I discovered he hadn't told his teacher☺️ She needed to know. Then my 1:1s and most remembered what we had been doing last term😃 was very wheezy walking up stairs.inhaler.
Then went to the hospital where they were running very late so had tea and a very good BLT and crisps. Browsed a magazine while eating.
Returned and met a fab lady briefly. She had crocheted a rainbow of colours up her walking stick. I admired it and she loved my handbag made by a felting friend so I sat beside her and we had a good chat about crocheting and knitting. She liked my snood which I happen to be wearing. I think she enjoyed our chat.
So then earlier than we both would have liked I got called to scan. He couldn't find a hernia where I showed him but says you can't always find them. However he found one in the middle of my stomach but just a little one. Referred back to GP to see if he wants me to have CT scan done. Wouldn't you think if a DR. in the hospital can't find one he would just refer across. From what I told him he reckons it is one😷
Felt very tired and home by 1 pm. Had a nap for 1 1/2 hrs😳
" just chilling" as the kids say. Knitting and watching film. Fire on so really cosy.
Ta da
Vacuumed downstairs
Lit fire
I see you have all been very busy.
Sorry Afresh that you are now feeling awful. Keep cosy.
Cags I want to know ...did Caglitini sleep through as you weren't on early this morning.
Zoo early call 4am😳 not on!

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/01/2018 17:41

Ds has come home with more injuries. This time self inflicted because teenagers are known for their ability to make good decisions. Hmm
So I have cleaned him up and he has set himself up in bed because apparently he is done with today. yep lots of us can relate to that feeling kiddo

Glad that tea is shove in oven lasagna (ah batch cooking how I love you)

I am going to see if I can get some laundry done and find some motivation. 'Get up and go' stuck its tongue out and buggered off today. Hmm

Going to need to do a crap ton tomo. I am looking forwards to the lighter evenings very much. Some much easier to have motivation when it is light out.

Bowerbird5 · 25/01/2018 17:44

Ough! Ginger Fairy cakes! Wish I could have those and with pears lovely combo.
I ' ve got left over Roast Chicken but can see me buying corned beef for Saturday Tea. Off to plate up and reheat chicken the Rhubarb Crumble after.

Bowerbird5 · 25/01/2018 17:46

Oh hills what a worry! Teenagers are hard work at times.

Lasagne sounds lovely. Yeah batch cooking great.

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/01/2018 18:04

hills FFS.that boy is a worry.you should chain him to a chair in boy dungeon for 48hrs to get some rest
Bower

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/01/2018 18:43

The rest of them are having lasagna (which turned out to be souffle because I put the wrong label on the top) they are loving it and very content. I have had cheese source with corn beef over gluten free pasta. I blame you lot leading me astray. Grin It is more like a soup as I was generous with the amount of cheese sauce that I made Enough for tea tomo for me so will cook something the others like but I can't eat so they will be even more happy at that Grin Slow cooked chicken and noodle soup is the current plan.

And there is more on the inner workings of the food that goes on here than you ever knew you didn;t want to know Blush

Well I didn't finish my list as had to work instead. Haven't finished my work either but waiting for ds to settle (which is not going well).

Ta da
Made the veggie cobbler (was lovely)
Swish and swipe bathroom
Finished daily routine

Didn't do any bedroom decluttering but never mind...you're never behind and all that!

Right best go give ds another cuddle.

Bowerbird5 · 25/01/2018 19:34

Some good meals going around here. I think her Ladyship would be impressed. We are definitely flying!

zoo satisfied myself with left over rhubarb crumble mmm stuffed now like one of those " stuffies"
Do you think I could have the recipe( please, please, please) for tomorrow afternoon. Not that I need to be eating cake!
Thanks foxes you remindered me I need to swish and swipe the bathroom tonight. Didn't quite have time this morning.

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/01/2018 19:38

If you are interested bower the lagsana and souffle are milk free. Ds loves the carbonara sauce that is in the free from range. A lot of recipes we replace marg/butter with vitalite and it makes super fluffy cakes to the point where others have pinched this as an idea. Ds looked at his allergy specialist when he suggested ds being able to have milk would open more foods, specialist was a bit taken back when he said he ate all that stuff because we made milk free versions Grin

Well I was going to attempt corned beef hash for dinner but the little lady woke up hungry as we got home just now. So oven pizza it is. Again. 😳

Bower she did indeed sleep again, 6.5hrs four nights in a row now. She’s got herself in more of a routine than I’ve ever managed, I was expecting absolute chaos but she has slotted into life quite well really. Early days though so I’m expecting it to fall apart at any moment.

The reason I wasn’t on much this morning is that we went out early to an autism charity coffee morning, DH had been invited for a work thing but the rest of us plus friends went along too. Nice to see DH in work mode [proud] then I was brave and invited said friends back to ours for a play, I know they won’t judge our house (she reassures me hers is worse LOL) and it was nice just to think fuck it, and ignore the CHAOS.

ta da
✅all up and out in under half an hour
✅yesterday’s wash dried
✅spellings
✅did parent duty at Badgers (involved sitting in the hall cuddling baby, it’s purely to meet the adult:child ratio requirements)
✅took some notes on the first aid they were learning, decided to do a project on it at home to help them learn it more
✅planned some of World Book Day party
✅two more washes, now in dryer
✅Cagletini had her jabs, forgot to book the third lot though

I got my disabled bus pass through the post today, so pleased and it represents triumph over epic procrastination. Felt very proud using it for the first time,

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/01/2018 19:53

hills vitalite is the way forward.ive tried others and some split in a disgusting fashion!!(plus we like the taste))
Bower I pm you it in mo so not clutter up the thread(if anyone else wants recipe just ask😊)

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/01/2018 19:54

Yay cag well done for sorting pass!!

You've done brilliantly todayStar

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/01/2018 20:15

I love how it is so flexible zoo i use it for making a rue sauce too. Works really well.

I should go deal with the washing machine. But I am comfey

Yay Cag that is an epic list

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/01/2018 20:34

I too lazy most time hills-cornflour slack in bit cold d.f milk and heat rest then stir til thickens((slattern))

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/01/2018 20:46

Ah cornflour is an allergen in this house and can't be used. Potato is also an allergen so potato flour can't be used for thickening either.

OP posts:
HillsBesideTheSea · 25/01/2018 20:47

Have not found a milk subsitute that does not split horribly when heated though it is a pita.

zoo, re the dresses, could you take a photo of them or cut some fabric out of them? I have to say though I would probably end up keeping them. Although I gave away my wedding dress and have never regretted it yet.

foxes, veggie cobbler mmmmmmmmmm.

Hills, hope your DS has a better day tomorrow.

I love all the meal ideas on here. I am a terrible cook (thankfully DH is very good) and in particular struggle with easy meal ideas that DD1 will actually eat and it also appeals to my nosiness to here what everyone is planing and eating Smile.

Sounds like an awesome day Cag Star

Afresh, thinking good vibes for you.

Big wing flaps to SC, Bower and everyone else.

Well we have ordered pizza (payday today Grin) which won’t be here for a while so once I have done the links I am going to do a quick blitz where I can. Starting with the laundry as this is still a logistical challenge with the washing machine issues Confused.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/01/2018 21:03

WhispersOfWickedness · 25/01/2018 21:42

Sorry to read that lots of you are feeling ill, this really is a rubbish time of year 😔

Not much going on here, I did some crafting rather than flying this morning, then the usual hectic afternoon.

Bowerbird5 · 25/01/2018 22:09

Yeah just put said clutter organised in boxes. It worked beautifully.
Sod that Flylady there is no way I am getting rid of that storage space. Eight 50 L boxes under my bed. I can just slide them out for cleaning.
I have Christmas crockery x2, box of shoes, box of clothes x2 the bulky jumpers etc box of baby stuff I can't bear to get rid of all hand knitted things and a favourite dress of DD.
Thanks zoo yes I meant pm.
Brilliant Cags. Great day too.
Swished and swiped and shone sinks. Bed early. Tired now. Falling asleep.
Night night👋

Cagliostro · 25/01/2018 22:12

Aah thanks for the praise. I felt like today was a rubbish day but looking at it positively is helping, I need that today 👍💕

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 25/01/2018 22:48

I agree Bower re under the bed. At the need of the day as long as it is organised under there then it seems like a sensible use of space, whatever Flylady and feng shui say!

Waves to Whispers.

Bowerbird5 · 26/01/2018 06:33

😃
Do you think they were reading this?
