Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

Ty zoo

First week back was okay. Bit of a shock to the system and chaotic. Hopefully this week will be easier.

Not helped by baby ds waking every night without fail for a bottle. Late four month regression I wonder?

Also not helped by dp not pulling his weight and still expecting me to do the bulk of everything house wise

I need to go out this morning for a few bits, supervise dcs homework and possibly fit in a trip to the park. Also must tackle kitchen carnage.

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/04/2017 09:32

cag interesting ponderingsGrin
afresh----->>(note the double point) fir Mr afresh
Typical baby starts night waking biw you back at workSad

Afreshstartplease · 30/04/2017 09:39

Yep bloody typical. Good job he is cute as a button Smile

I've also changed my contraceptive and I think it's making me moody and tired (gone on to nexplanon)

Dryer is on
Dry pots away
Bottles soaking
Next load of washing waiting to go in
Draining board scrubbed (was slimey yuck)

Morning all, oh dear Afresh, I think doing any flying at all is impressive on your first week back.

The dance show was fantastic Grin. Although today DD2 has not had the best morning so has had to come with me to DD1's activity in disgrace rather than going out with DH. Will have to see how the rest of the day goes.

Basic flying done so ta da:-
Dishwasher on
One load laundry done
Tidied handbag a bit

To do (? when as out at the moment):-
More laundry
Online food shopping
Get DDs to do a birthday card as is our cat's birthday tomorrow Smile!
Organise mini birthday tea for cat which she will of course not attend Grin.
House a bit of a mess so if time, general tidy up but this is unlikely.

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/04/2017 11:32

ARF at cats tea party she isn't attending.is it sad we get one of those little tubs cat food as a "cake" and stick a chewstick in top as a "candle"?!(not that my cats were spoilt silly)....

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/04/2017 11:33

Talk if spoilt scoutcat just let self in and demanding lunch...but early mateHmm
He's now sit in kitchen doorway with ears flat back, glaring at me in psycho kitty fashion

Rural greetings!! Just wanted to let you know that steps for tomorrow seemed to have posted ok in new thread for May (phew!) [[https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/housekeeping/2914958-Gather-ye-dusters-fledglings-while-ye-May-for-soon-we-shall-be-Flying? here]].

Humongous thanks to Cotswold for superlative (as ever!) thread leading throughout April!! Flowers Wine Cake

Hope everyone enjoying the long weekend! Will bbl to catch up with personals!

P.S. Cotswold not sure about "iron hand" Grin more like "hands off" when it comes to my own cleaning! Blush

Slurrycart · 30/04/2017 12:55

"humungous"!!

Afreshstartplease · 30/04/2017 16:35

Not sure I would call anything I am doing flying, it's definitely more flopping.

House is that bad I think it's making me feel really down. Either that or it's the nexplanon....

CotswoldStrife · 30/04/2017 23:03

OK, I'm going to bid April so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, adieu (apols for spelling there). Still welcome to post here but from tomorrow most of us hopefully will be on the May thread, link posted above from SC.

Looking forward to May, gotta be better than April (I forgot about the fortnight's break in the middle I think!) and as ever on the first of the month I feel motivated and the prospect of a bright new start is alluring. Let's see how it works out Grin. Thanks for all your contributions this month and I'll see you on the May thread!
