Welcome to the April Flylady thread. We will be posting links every day to the Flylady method of maintaining your home and all posters, lurkers, newbies and returners are welcome - there will be a lot bit of general chat too. Post your ta-da successes and inspire others (or join some of us in the naughty corner on a less-than-stellar day, we all have them!) and bask in the support of the fledglings as we swing into Spring and ease towards Easter (avoiding the dreaded pointy stick of motivation)!

toostressy is it by your bath / sink? My dh always takes his watch off when he gives the kids their bath and leaves it there.

Ta das
Dinner made and kitchen tidied as much as possible (dishwasher was still running and now I can't be bothered!)
Tidied up living room
Hoovered living room (this ended up being more important than the dusting as dd dropped a large quantity of rice on the carpet at dinner time!)

DS has only just gone to bed as he didn't settle too well and eventually fell asleep on me so I left him there for a while. I'm off to bed too in a short while. I'll just pop my cadburys mini fudge bites in the naughty corner...not as posh as the m&s pudding! Bit jealous!

Good luck with the dance show tomorrow!

Thankfully, no school decisions will have to be made until about October of this year so we are a long way off yet. Where has the time gone, though.

Thanks for starting the next thread SC, will post Saturday's links now.

CotswoldStrife · 29/04/2017 14:30

I've been slacking too this week and it also shows. DD has a long lesson in a bit, which will keep me out for even longer Sad Must crack on tonight and not just drink wine

Have a good weekend mermaids (sounds fab) and don't worry everyone, the iron hand of SC will grip the thread from next week and provide mega-motivation Grin No pressure ...

I am pinterest and alphabetty procrastinator.....

Cagliostro · 29/04/2017 16:02

Sorry but none of you can beat my procrastination - I only just (like literally 10 minutes ago) filed my 15/16 tax return 😳😳😳 (I already paid the late fee a while ago)

So embarrassing, it's ridiculous when the actual work I do comes so easily to me (if I do say so myself) and yet stick a form in front of me and I go into meltdown! And the really awful thing is, there was really very little to it. I asked a few questions on the phone to check things I was worried about and the person I spoke to was really lovely. Once I've had confirmation of this one being ok I will do my 16-17.

The shame!!!

mumontherun14 · 29/04/2017 16:51

Aww Cag I hate those tax return forms my husband (i.e. me) had to do them for a few years sand they are a total pain and I think could easily be simpler!

Ta da's
Morning routing
Fed pets & walked dog
Did laundry
Took DD to horseriding
Made DS breakfast and took him shopping for school trousers which ended up with a tshirt and jacket for him and no trousers.....(he is a total fusspot and in between sizes and Zara was so hot and busy we both gave up!)
Tidied living room
Mopped floors

To do
Walk dog
DH doing some gardening
Ironing (can't put this mountain off any more)

Going away tommorow in our wee caravan just for 1 night for the bank holiday so won't get much done tommorow

Have a good weekend all -back on it next week xxx

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/04/2017 16:53

cag tis done,that main thing!!

Forms aren't many peoples cup of tea.I'd rather do home bleurgh than tackle bloody pip forms......I expecting assessment letter soon
Still no chores to ta da.watch DVD with dd2 to distract her.she's doing a puzzle book fir a bit now whilst sucking a boiled sweet.the dreaded earache appears be joining party(starts to panic)
Typical in bank hol weekend gp off so only option if gets worse is out of hours which tend be useless

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/04/2017 16:54

Keep your finger, toes, eyes crossed for us it doesn't come to that!!Sad

mumontherun14 · 29/04/2017 17:16

Zoo what about a pharmacist? My friend is one and she gave me good advice last night about DD's cough and told me a different medicine to try. You might still get a pharmacy open over the weekend xxx

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/04/2017 17:33

Thanks for the tip mum
Gets any worse be in phone to late night opening bootsSmile

Cagliostro · 29/04/2017 17:37

Ugh PIP forms are just the absolute pits still Thanks it took me so long doing mine and I cried buckets. xx

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/04/2017 17:54

I sort of scared of the forms, super terrified of an actual assessment...only heard horror stories(as you do)
I know one will occur as I've been on DLA a long time fir mental health reasons,I've just been informed it's been change over to pip (which dp warned me a year ago was happening)and at some point they WILL insist an assessmentSad

Cagliostro · 29/04/2017 18:03

Are you on FB Still - if so, search Personal Independence Payment and then click on 'groups' - there are a few groups where you can get advice on it all. I found them super helpful.

CotswoldStrife · 29/04/2017 23:52

Meh. Did not do much tonight. Did drink wine though Grin

I'll post the last April links now, and will wrap up the April thread tomorrow. It's been great, but May starts with a holiday and it doesn't get much better than that!

Well yesterday I made the tiniest dint in the absolute shit hole I call home

Managed to go to bed with living room fairly tidy and having been hoovered

Kitchen is carnage though

BluePheasant · 30/04/2017 08:08

Morning all, work has been a bit draining so went a bit awol end of the week.

Busy day yesterday, work until midday then got all the washing and garden jobs done as nice weather and rest of weekend forecast to be wet Sad Cleared out all the junk in the shed, DH painted half the decking, will move everything over and do other half when weather bucks up again! planted some sweet pea seeds with DD.

Drop too much wine last night, bit sore head when first woke up. Cup of tea sorted it Brew Currently all in bed together, DD was doing colouring at 7am, now got beebies on. Guess better move soon, getting hungry!

Kitchen carnage here too afresh

Hope your DDs throat better today zoo

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/04/2017 08:08

How did first week back at work go?

I am just about to get upShock

Stilllivinginazoo · 30/04/2017 08:12

Must get up n feed lil zoo/ds and let cat in.he's been try front door frantically for a while now!!

Cagliostro · 30/04/2017 08:12

I always wonder why the look ahead for birthdays etc is baby step 30. Doesn't that mean you can't do it in February? Do March babies suffer more from forgotten birthdays? :o

I have so much that needs doing today. Pretty much can't see the hallway for all the laundry.
