its a 9 in 1 steam mop and it is the most fun ive had cleaning in ages! my home is now hygienically steamed....no mean feat with dogs, cats, rats, kids....

its this one

its fab.
its got emulsion of window frames, the cupboard fronts were so easy it was a joy, the hob, the stainless steel splashback, the fridge, the floors, the tiles, the shower door.....all sparkling and done in seconds.

it was a cleaning revelation.
im now addicted to steaming stuff....including my thumb...which is dont recommend cos that hurts.

the reviews are not wrong on this one....
(morphy richards - commission please!)

I want to use mine on the black slime in the washing machine door seal. Do you reckon it'll tackle that?

tinfoilhat · 25/05/2014 22:24

Oooooh I've been pondering over one of these for ages but didn't want to spend too much and this price is perfect! Have ordered one from Tesco, same price and I can collect it, plus points of course.
I too am hoping that it will turn me into a domestic goddess... I despise cleaning the bathroom and our oven has something revolting at the bottom of it...
I am far too excited about this.

IneedAwittierNickname · 25/05/2014 22:30

How good will it be on my frankly filthy cream fabric sofa and carpet (also cream)? Will it do anything?
I wanted the X5 but this one is cheaper and apparently does more. So tempted... On pay day!

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/05/2014 22:32

well - as far as turning into a domestic goddess my dh just asked if i have been replaced by alien invaders.....

my patio doors were absolutely disgustingly mud splattered - dog jumps up at them with muddy paws, and after the torrential downpours lately it was bad....

10 mins with the steam cleaner and the doors are gleaming - the glass and the plastic, inside and out.
i keep standing and admiring them.

for glass i do it with the steamer squeegee head and then rub it over with a microfibre glass cloth. easy peasy and streak free.

im going to have a go at the washing machine door seal....and the glass door....
ive just done the kitchen floor again and my cupboard fronts have never been so clean....
my house gets filthy with all the animals, and the door next to the dishwasher gets splattered with everything. it brought that up squeaky clean in about 30 seconds.

i love this steam thing!

TDX-DLCD is £10 off a £50 spend on tesco direct for new customers.

HesterShaw · 25/05/2014 22:41

For God's sake, I just bought it after reading the first three posts

I don't even like mopping. I am a rubbish herd follower :(

It had better bloody well change my life or else.

GatoradeMeBitch · 25/05/2014 23:03

Hmm, now I feel tempted. I already have a steam cleaner, a Vax one, but it doesn't have a hand-held function. I don't know whether to buy this or not. Can anyone recommend a hand-held one?

VivaLeBeaver · 25/05/2014 23:15

Gatorade, which vax one do you have?

I'm panicking as I've just ordered one and am worried now it'll be shit.

ThatVikRinA22 · 26/05/2014 00:45

the hand held function is the most fun! you need the hand held bit.....just to watch the filthiest bits of your home that were inaccessible come clean....

i did the groove in the window frames today.
and the groove of the patio door frames (at the bottom)

and its just so much fun! seriously. it is. i hate cleaning. im a housework shy slattern.....
no more!

I've got a Polti steam cleaner. It's fab.

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 26/05/2014 08:09

I love this thread!

Yes, I have just bought one too Grin

In my defence, I did check my bank balance first and my old steam cleaner went bust almost a year ago but I still have it in the kitchen

PocketFluff · 26/05/2014 08:32

Oh dear. Not only have I just bought one but am also ridiculously excited about it. Took all my willpower to stick to free delivery rather than pay more to get it quicker!

BonjourMinou · 26/05/2014 09:06

Sad I have a perfectly adequate steam mop that I haven't even had a year yet. So no excuse to buy this one, but I would otherwise, the price is excellent! Envy

Catsatonic · 26/05/2014 09:22

I want one! But, but, there are bad reviews on Amazon Sad

Should I ignore them?

gorionine · 26/05/2014 09:25

OMG I have just bought one! just like that! just because you said it was good!Shock!!!!

Kettricken · 26/05/2014 10:32

Can you do a leather sofa with it? Mine used to be light brown and I would love it to be that colour again Grin

Paq · 26/05/2014 10:43

I have bought one. I will hold you responsible if my house is not show home standard!

MsUumellmahaye · 26/05/2014 10:46

I have just bought the hand held hoover one from amazon and it is fab. I have a clean cooker, this is rare.

Suzannewithaplan · 26/05/2014 10:51

Tempted, I have carpets in need of cleaning, there are several different models in the range though, I shall have to investigate!

Suzannewithaplan · 26/05/2014 10:52

I'm thinking steam cleaning would damage leather?

foofooyeah · 26/05/2014 11:29

Marking my place, I need this, keeping tabs on it when I get some money.

GatoradeMeBitch · 26/05/2014 19:22

Viva, I bought the 'hard floor master'. It's absolutely fine and a lot more robust than my previous one, I just want a hand-held steamer!

VivaLeBeaver · 26/05/2014 19:39

Thanks Gator. The Vax one looks more versatile than most of the mop style ones I've seen as it has the long hose and all the attachments so I think it'll do everything I want it to.

facedontfit · 26/05/2014 20:09

Vicar when you have run out of things to steam in your house get yourself round to mine. Wink

GiveTwoSheets · 26/05/2014 20:16

I got that one before xmas only used it to do the kitchen / bathroom floors so far.

Cant use it on my new vinyl flooring in those rooms anymore as was told by the fitters the heat will lift glue underneath.
