its a 9 in 1 steam mop and it is the most fun ive had cleaning in ages! my home is now hygienically steamed....no mean feat with dogs, cats, rats, kids....

its this one

its fab.
its got emulsion of window frames, the cupboard fronts were so easy it was a joy, the hob, the stainless steel splashback, the fridge, the floors, the tiles, the shower door.....all sparkling and done in seconds.

it was a cleaning revelation.
im now addicted to steaming stuff....including my thumb...which is dont recommend cos that hurts.

the reviews are not wrong on this one....
(morphy richards - commission please!)

BOFster · 25/05/2014 02:19

Fucking hell, I really need to switch 1-click ordering off Grin

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/05/2014 02:30

Only today I was down on my hands and knees cursing as I cleaned the bath and shower and all the blasted bathroom tiles. A steam cleaner would probably have done the job in a few minutes. As it is, I lost an hour of my life that I will never get back.

I also think there must be a better way to clean the inside of a microwave than causing an explosion while boiling vinegar in an eggcup (trying out a Pinterest recommendation on taking chewing gum out of a t-shirt using boiled vinegar.)

Chococroc · 25/05/2014 07:22

I've got that one! It's ace!

sillymillyb · 25/05/2014 07:26

I'm moving house next week and SO excited about cleaning it with this bad boy.... It's my house warming present to myself Grin

Kerberos · 25/05/2014 07:31

Thank you. I've been looking for a recommendation for one of these. Just ordered :)

FruVikingessOla · 25/05/2014 07:36

I'm about to take the plunge with a steam mop too. Thanks for the recommendation, Vicar.

aliciagardner · 25/05/2014 07:42

I just ordered it too. Amazon will be wondering what's going on! Have been looking for a steam mop for a while. Fingers crossed it can get the nasty black marks from the bathroom grout!

ggirl · 25/05/2014 07:49

I already have a steam mop but want the hand held part ..can't justify £58. Any hand held steam cleaner recommendations?

Fathertedfan · 25/05/2014 07:51

Got this one too. It's wonderful. Comes with two pads for the bottom, so one in the wash and a fresh one for each clean. Gets glued on dog food off the kitchen floor. Easy to clip off the water reservoir and refill. Love it.

Bluestocking · 25/05/2014 07:55

Thanks, I've been meaning to get a steam mop for ages, have just ordered!

MrsPnut · 25/05/2014 07:57

I've got that one too, it's amazing. I'm going to get Oh to clean the oven with it today.

kinkymouse · 25/05/2014 08:04

How wet does it leave hard floor?

I had one years ago and hated when I cleaned the kitchen floor it was almost puddled and took ages to dry.

Did I just buy a lemon?

Peekingduck · 25/05/2014 09:04

Can you use that one for steaming clothes? I'm trying to find a good steamer for fabrics.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 25/05/2014 09:10

I've not had a steam mop before, are they really worth it?

I'm a bit of a slattern around the house, will it change my life attitude

thekitchenfairy · 25/05/2014 09:33

Is the handheld bit any good? Really heavy? Seriously considering a steam cleaner to sort out the dreadful state of our oven... Self cleaning programme seems to have just welded on a winters worth of meat fat ... Quite shameful and disgusting and I need a solution!

McButtonwillow · 25/05/2014 10:10

Ooh I'm tempted. Can you use it on laminate?

Doingakatereddy · 25/05/2014 10:20

You should be on commission vicar, I've just ordered one too! Was looking for a recommendation!

Birdsgottafly · 25/05/2014 10:27

How harsh are they?

If you have Lino/cushion floor and cheaper kitchen cupboard, would it take the glue off?

I lent my Mums hand held to do my cooker and my teens loved using it, so total result all round.

cathyandclaire · 25/05/2014 10:30

Ooooh, tell me more. I have one steam mop buy cheap buy twice but it is useless and just seems to smear the grime around the place, so I have to wipe the floor with a normal mop afterwards!
Am I doing something wrong? Are our floors just too dirty for any mop to cope with (2 labradors) or will this new super mop solve all my problems?
Finger hovering over the one click button....

ThatVikRinA22 · 25/05/2014 15:27

it leaves floors virtually dry.
the hand held bit is fab. very powerful (as my blistered thumb will testify!) but not harsh enough to damage anything i dont think - i went through my kitchen yesterday like a whirlwind - it was so quick and so satisfying! the only thing it seemed a bit too hot for was my aluminium coated window blind - but i think i left it on one spot for too long and it took a tiny bit of the top coat off.....

its way better than the vax one i paid more for.

and yes - it has a fabric attachment to steam curtains and clothes etc.

i love it. i am currently looking for things to blast with steam!

FruVikingessOla · 25/05/2014 15:51

I have just ordered one too. I am holding you responsible, Vicar, for it to be a fab cleaning tool Grin.

I wonder if Amazon is bemused why they've suddenly got loads of orders today?!

BertieBotts · 25/05/2014 16:02

You can use them to clean ovens?!?!

whosafraidofnaomiwolf · 25/05/2014 16:04

Can I do wooden floors with it?
