its a 9 in 1 steam mop and it is the most fun ive had cleaning in ages! my home is now hygienically steamed....no mean feat with dogs, cats, rats, kids....

its this one

its fab.
its got emulsion of window frames, the cupboard fronts were so easy it was a joy, the hob, the stainless steel splashback, the fridge, the floors, the tiles, the shower door.....all sparkling and done in seconds.

it was a cleaning revelation.
im now addicted to steaming stuff....including my thumb...which is dont recommend cos that hurts.

the reviews are not wrong on this one....
(morphy richards - commission please!)

Sorry, this is an old thread, but how are everyone's steam cleaners faring? I don't want to buy one to have it break after a few months. My floors are filthy so I am v excited by this recommendation!

BreeVDKamp · 08/10/2014 17:36

Am amazed it is only £35 (B&Q) with these reviews!!

LIZS · 08/10/2014 17:41

Did floors with it today - head was filthy afterwards. Minor gripe is that there is no pressure behind the hand steamer so doesn't always get quick results.

Deux · 08/10/2014 17:47

Can it be used on engineered oak flooring do you know? And what does everyone do first, do you vacuum floors first?

I have a hand held steamer and that's great for many things, especially upvc window frames.

Shesparkles · 08/10/2014 17:48

I got the Morhy Richards a couple of months ago without even seeing this thread! I absolutely love it. I have a lot of hard floors, including real wood and it's great on them, and hardly leaves them damp. Great for big mirrors and shower doors. I have wet wall in a couple of showers and it gleams after cleaning with the steamer.

Best thing about it though, I bought it from Argos using Nectar points, so it didn't cost me a penny!

LIZS · 08/10/2014 17:48

Sweep or hoover the floors first otherwise the dirt collects in lumps. We have wooden flooring and it seems to be ok .

JimmyCorkhill · 08/10/2014 17:51

Still pleased with mine. Does a great job on my windows.

BreeVDKamp · 08/10/2014 17:59

Woohoo! Fab. I might just treat myself to one tomorrow :) Thanks all.

Deux · 08/10/2014 18:42

I was thinking I might treat myself too. I remember the days when I would treat myself to makeup or clothes. And now it's a steam cleaner .

coraltoes · 09/10/2014 11:16

I love mine!! Question for those who use lavender oil - how do you apply it to the steam mop? Drops on the pad??

weekendgirl66 · 16/10/2014 16:49

just ordered one on the back of this... have been thinking about it fo a while... so excited Blush

Mumstudentbum · 17/10/2014 09:51

Ordered and if it sanitises my 60 year old carpet il go shake morphy Richards hand myself ?? haha so need this for my hard kitchen floor thanks

samsam123 · 17/10/2014 20:46

i have that just wish the flex was longer

ranbags · 07/01/2015 20:42

Obviously I'm now going to have to get one of these!! Before I do, does anyone have any experience of these domestic beauties on old, uneven, knobbly, crevice-ridden flagstones? Please say it works!?!

samesizetoes · 08/01/2015 18:38

I was umming and ahhing about getting one of these for months but couldn't make my mind up until the cat peed on the carpet and made my mind up for me. I've been steaming everything I can and my word! I thought my house was clean before I used this, now I know I can see it really is clean.

Naicecuppatea · 08/01/2015 18:43

Can someone please explain how these work to someone who had never heard of them before reading this thread! When the mop head is dirty how do you clean it? Can you really clean ovens with it? Do you need any floor cleaner or soap? Thanks.

felttippens · 13/01/2015 22:12

There's a Murphy Richards 12 in 1 on Amazon that lights up and vibrates !!!

£45

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00HVU6ZWO/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/277-9277143-3414400

Now I don't know which to order !

hollyisalovelyname · 17/01/2015 09:54

Does it work on real wood floorboards?
I think they are engineered wood.
