do you always soak your own beans bessie?i can never remember which ones have to be boiled to kill toxins so always buy cans
blackcatwell done honey.little bits chip away at things and keep us out of mischief Wink
i managed to clear the backlog of washing up,write note on bklackboard and dryt it all and put it away
just going to pop on some spinach soup then i will be arond til 1ish

bessie26 · 26/01/2012 12:17

zoo I NEVER soak beans. DH got them for me as the supermarket didn't have any tinned. I really should use dried as they must be much cheaper & aren't that difficult to prep (it says on the packet what you have to do), and as I meal plan, I know what we are going to eat the following day, so really I have no excuse! I used a tin of kindey beans in the end & lunch is very yummy! (DD2 still eating!)

carrots I forgot to say well done to DS! You get quite a few power cuts don't you? Perhaps an additional battery clock would stop that confusion happening again?

BlackCatTryingToFly · 26/01/2012 12:20

Well done bessie that's quite a list!
And
Well done Zoo. Would you like it if we say check in after a set time to list a few things we get done today? It might help keep us going. Wink

I am on lunch break now till about 1.00 ish.

liveinazoo · 26/01/2012 12:24

its helpful for me having someone to report back to.stops me festering and doing nothing then feeling crapper!
i shall sit on here til 1,whilst have lunch break-little zoo is watching cbeebiesSmile
we shall then set the next timer nad task and see what we can acheive before time to collect -monsters- children from school Smile

BlackCatTryingToFly · 26/01/2012 12:27

Sounds good zoo. Smile I'm up for that so will try and start at 1.00 too.

When do you want to report back ?

What do you think about 2.00?

Scout19075 · 26/01/2012 12:29

Just in from errands and you lot have been productive! I feel put to shame.

Ta Das include:
dressed TS and to slippers before going for breakfast
breakfast
MrScout's dishes & pots from last night washed properly
some Seniors emails
soft play with friends arranged for tomorrow
town errands

  • bank (two bits of business)
  • library (copies)
  • post office (posted letters, invoices for Seniors & package to Canada)
  • Boots (pills collection)
  • charity shop (one bin bag and one large carrier bag donated)
  • drink (TS was very good (non squirmy or whingey) and helpful so treated him to a drink at the coffee shop which he loves to do)

To Do in the next few minutes:
put dinner in slow cooker
make & eat my lunch

To Do this afternoon:
take out large bag of recycling from yesterday's declutter/fling
do some more living room declutter/flinging
gather laundry for run tonight
make some calls for Seniors (see if we can hire a space that has a kitchen for cooking night) and respond to emails I've just seen have come through

Hmmm, I quite fancy a bacon sandwich but no bacon on the house so might have to make due with left over stew from earlier in the week.

bessie26 · 26/01/2012 13:01

MrScout's dishes & pots from last night washed properly
heehee - did you have to wash them again when he wasn't looking?!

DD2 has made a HUGE mess eating her lunch, so while she was having a banana i crawled round the floor with a wet cloth picking up bits & getting old stuck on bits soaking ready for cleaning properly when she naps.

I'll prob be back around 3ish - plan to sit down again with a Brew when I've done

  • clean the downstairs loo, potty & seat
  • make large vat of soup for tea & freezer
  • mop the kitchen floor

off to play upstairs on the change mat now so DD2 can air her bum!

carrotsandcelery · 26/01/2012 14:08

I enjoyed your drunken smilie post last night Dlamis and was Envy I was not drunk myself. No booze for me until ds's sleep is sorted incase I am too sleepy to return him when required.

bessie how was your night out? Impressive list. I remember spending an exciting evening peeling noodles off a carpet when ds was little and we had carpet under the table. We have learned Grin Good luck with the dried on food and mopping.

Batteries will be going in the clocks tonight just in case. They do take them as well as having a plug, they just didn't have any in.

Scout Grin at doing the dishes properly. Dh reloads the dishwasher after me, although everything is just as clean when I do it as when he does it. Well done on the charity shop run. Has it made a nice big space?

BlackCat and zoo - I like the idea of timetabled reporting back. You both seem to have got a lot done.

I rode very badly this morning. I was just so tired I couldn't get it all together and was making silly mistakes. I did warn my instructor but she was still Hmm I felt like I was drunk Shock

I have come home and soaked in the bath for a while (and noticed there are cobwebs on the ceiling despite all my efforts in there last week) and made a cake as it is my friend's birthday today and we are going round to another friend's tonight. It will just be a small crowd but should be fun.

I am just having my lunch now but my to dos are:

hang washing
clean kitchen up again
look out newspaper for a friend and pop it round
declutter kitchen table if I can summon it - pointy stick may be needed there
post parcel as post office was out of order this morning due to power cut
