Well done zoo! Enchilladas sound nice.

Dd wants to make falafel again for her packed lunches this week and I can't even begin to think about tea as I feel totally sick. I don't know why but the hospital always makes me feel awful. [wimp emoticon]

I will have to look up the meal plan and see what we were supposed to be making for tea and see if I can face it.

On a brighter note I have managed to get them to finish their homework and dd has all her stuff laid out for her school trip tomorrow. I have to put names in it all so it may take me some time.

you can do this carrots.i know its going to be really hard for a while but try and look at it in the long term and the benefits all round of ds sleeping i his own bed al night.
be kind to yourself and make life easier for yourself where possible.make a simple tea

carrotsandcelery · 23/01/2012 17:52

Thanks zoo. I am trying hard to get over myself and get my head down and get on with it Grin Drama Queens are NOT welcome etc etc

you can be a drama queen if you like

Scout19075 · 23/01/2012 18:23

We were out most of the day -- left at 8:15 and got home around 4-ish. We did some volunteering this morning then went straight to Toddler's two-year check then to the supermarket. Toddler barely had a nap (in the car so what nap was had was not quality) and has been so miserable I put him down 45 minutes early. I haven't heard a peep, though, since putting him down and he didn't protest as we had stories w/cuddles, our bedtime poem and tucking in. Ahhh, peace.

Very little done today but I'm exhausted. I'm going to pause for a few minutes then start trying to fly a bit.

bessie26 · 23/01/2012 18:46

I'm probably going to be offline most of the evening as I'm out for a run with a friend, then should spend some quality sofa time with DH as it's his birthday today. Will check in later though.

liveinazoo · 23/01/2012 19:18

after our 4am start Hmm mine are now tucked up inbed and quiet.washing ups done and sink shined.be around til around 8.30 should you need a bit of extra support carrotsx

Scout19075 · 23/01/2012 19:36

How's it going, carrots?

carrotsandcelery · 23/01/2012 19:57

Hi folks.

Well I managed to pull myself together and make some lentil bolognaise for tea which they scoffed Grin and ds and I got a clip board and made his chart and looked out his emotion thermometer etc which he seemed to love doing.

He is now in his bed in his bedroom on his own. Dh has appeared so he settled dd which was a relief. He has had to go in to see ds once to tell him to settle down as he dropped something and was making a fuss about it. Now it is a case of waiting it out.

I have a Brew and some choc digestives for fortitude should it be required.

Thanks for the moral support. I know I must seem pathetic but it really helps.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR BESSIE Grin

I hope you have/have had a lovely evening together bessie.

cairnterrier · 23/01/2012 20:17

Evening everyone.

carrotsandcelery how's it all going? am sending peaceful night vibes your way.

liveinazoo hope you manage to get a bit more sleep tonight and tomorrow morning!!

blackcat would the nursery send you some pictures of DD so that you can see how she's settling once you've dropped her off?

Scout sounds like your DS is zonked! Does he ever do a nodding dog at the tea table (when they're falling asleep but still trying to keep on eating).

bessie happy birthday to Mr Bessie and hope that you're having a lovely evening. re the whole balanced protein/iron/veggie thing, does 3 helpings of rice pudding and jam count?????

I'm due 11th May so am starting to get rather large now. Have just realised after kneeling next to DS's cot that my cankles are on the return now as well. No chance of any flying here tonight, reloading the DW and unloading the WM are about the most I'll achieve!

Anyway, hope everyone else has a more productive evening, will check in later on once the Gaviscon starts kicking in.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 23/01/2012 20:29

Hi all, i'm around too as long as DD settles (will check on her in a minute).

How is it going?
It's hard when they don't want to settle on their own, we have been their with both ours although not on the same scale as what you have been going through.

cairn make sure you don't over do it you must look after yourself and your baby. I remember needing gaviscon. that was one of the down sides to pregnancy.

liveinazoo · 23/01/2012 20:30

aw.bless you cairm
happy birthday mr bessie(did i miss that earlier?Hmm)
carrots you doing well honey.glad you have choc digestives to hand.they ar ethe answer to a lot of lifes troublesWinkraising kids and worrying about it is never pathetic.we all bin there and keep going there!
im afraid im loving and leaving you all for tonight now.my 4am start has officially caught up and overtaken me!

carrotsandcelery · 23/01/2012 20:33

Evening cairnterrier - it sounds like it is time you relaxed and put your feet up. Bending over the dw and wm are not going to help if gaviscon is required Shock Be kind to yourself.

11th May is very close to my birthday. It will be a lovely time of year to have a new baby. You should be able to get outside for a walk and get washing on the line etc.

There was quite a lot of thumping and scuffling coming from upstairs but it is quiet for now. Ds's room is above our kitchen (where we sit at night) so we can listen in at least. I am too chicken to peek incase he is still awake and I set him off.

I am leaving the rest of the flying for today as I need to wind down a bit so I can sleep tonight (when I get the chance to anyway). Hmm

bessie26 · 23/01/2012 22:21

hope things are going ok carrots?

thanks for the birthday wishes for MrBessie, he had to go into the Big Smoke for work today, so took the opportunity to get some Krispy Kreme so we have eaten them & drunk a bit of wine/beer - off to our fave restaurant at the weekend to celebrate properly Grin

I have written my shopping list, just need to go through the cupboards tomorrow & cross off what I already have.

Tomorrow I want to start my Home Blessing, but WILL do a mission.

carrotsandcelery · 23/01/2012 22:27

Sounds lovely bessie. I have never had a Krispy Kreme. I have only heard about them on Mumsnet, although dh has had them when he as been summoned to the big smoke Grin

I am Blush by how many choc digestives we have munched over the course of the evening. Fwiw, the Aldi versions taste exactly like McVities Grin

So far it is oh, so quiet! fx

Have I missed what zone we're in this week?

carrotsandcelery · 23/01/2012 22:29

Hi Scout - we are on the Master Bedroom. It was 15 mins under the bed today - decluttering, not just lying there - although there are times when that would be quite appealing Grin

I am off to mine now - sleep well everyone!

OP posts:
bessie26 · 23/01/2012 23:21

the trouble with Krispy Kreme is once youve had one, you can never go back to crappy supermarket donuts. They really are yummy. I had two tonight

Glad things are going ok so far carrots - be strong, remember this is for everyones good & hope you get to have plenty of lovely family hugs in the morning.

cairn DD2 was born late April, and it is a lovely time of year for new life Grin I started Flying last jan, managed to get the house into a reasonable state before she arrived, had a few months of scraping by but have emerged again knowing how much flying helps us all. What format is your Control Journal in? I was using an app at the time, but wish now that I had a written down list so that DH could have done more without me having to nag ask.

BlackCatTryingToFly · 24/01/2012 05:17

Morning everyone,
Hope things went well last night carrots and you all got some decent sleep.

I was woke up at 4.30am but not by DD. The DC have a piano book and it started playing itself. [spooky emoticon!] So I saw DH before he went to work and got him to remove the batteries.Grin

bessie That sounds a good way of doing a shopping list .

liveinazoo · 24/01/2012 05:46

hi black
just popped in to catch up with everyones news last night as i drifted to the land of nod so early!!!
hope it went ok carrots
i only got woken x2 and managed to get them back to kip in own beds so thats somethingSmile
i am now up and dressed and planning to wash the living room floor...pity i can hear the patter of little feet who will be trying to walk on it in a minute whilst im trying to clean!

BlackCatTryingToFly · 24/01/2012 05:53

Morning zoo, I have posted my to do list on other thread so I better make a start.

Hope everyone is fine and dandy today! Smile

bessie26 · 24/01/2012 07:34

Morning! Hope you had a reasonable night carrots. DD2 was chatting away to herself 4-530 but was sound asleep when I went in at 7 Grin
