Accommodation at Nottingham Uni

DD got a place through clearing last Thursday. They guarantee an offer of accommodation. She put an application in immediately and then dashed off for a fortnight's holiday!

Not heard anything yet. Anyone have any knowledge of accommodation at Nottingham?

Going well so far. Saw DS on Sunday . Took him out for lunch and a stock up shop! Lovey to see him. Seems settled. Looking forward to him coming home for a weekend in November. Hope everyone else is doing OK.

DD sees very happy - has applied for a campus job so fingers crossed she gets it as her tastes are quite expensive!! Coming home on 4th for a few days can't wait to see her.

DS is doing more partying than I thought and less studying but is making it to lectures. I suppose you have to be grateful for the small wins.

He has t mentioned accommodation for next year but he's said that one of his flatmates is already sorted.

DD needs to stay in a bit more but I'm not complaining (yet)

Good to hear everyone is happy! That’s the main thing! DS is coming home for a few days for the ‘Directed Study Week’ in a couple of weeks which will be lovely

Yep, ds seems to be happy and settling in. His flatmates are a decent bunch. I am going to chat to him about plans for next year although he’s probably already thinking about it, knowing him! We visited him briefly at the beginning of this month but probably won’t see him now until Christmas 😢 because it’s quite a long journey for us but we do video call once a week or so.

I am not hearing from DS so much which I am taking to be a good sign. We are away without him this week which I think has stung a bit (only in wet and windy UK).

@Sssudio we are in Devon next week without DS which will feel strange but he’s coming back the following one so all good! hope the weather calms for you!

What a beautiful university! never been before and had a great tour by DS today☺️ only round University Park campus but really nice environment and so green! Really pleased for DS and nice to be able to envisage where he’s actually going most days!

I went on the Offer Holders Open Day and thought how much it would suit DS.

Visited this weekend, DD now in Florence Boot, it really is lovely. All good, she's loving it. Actually stayed in the hotel on campus - highly recommended

I'm glad she's finally in @Africa2go. I've seen it on Insta and it looks amazing. Where has she had to stay until now?

She was in Willoughby (so next door). She was given a choice to go in Willoughby or to a hall on Jubilee Campus. Let's just say it's like chalk and cheese to Willoughby (think that's being knocked down now).
