For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have 2 extra children this morning
then midwife
then physio
then gym? doesn't sound v likely does it

questions I want to ask physio:
how can I be more symmentrical?
will I have to give birth with my knees tied together with a ribbon, cause I read it on google?
can I sit cross legged?
what should I do when dp rubs his hands at me in a doorway?

morning.. found you and super title
a banana, hurrah
is there such a thing as pregnancy pilates
do you trust osteopaths to know what might help
wish I knew anything at all about what ails you as am totally flailing, especially about the hand-rubbing (twould be leg twitching in my case)
have you written your questions down
trying to keep up with the news.. but i read it and it dribbles out of my head, will have to find new technique of intermittent posting to keep abreast
what lovely conversations you are having anyway
how's things today toot?

TooTicky · 28/04/2008 09:02

We are going back to Bath hosp today as a matter of emergency today as ds2's eye is so swollen today that he can't even open it [[
Goodness only knows what we will eat, hopefully won't be there too long. Ds2 is scared

ladywombling · 28/04/2008 09:04

Morning, just checking in briefly:

Blueberry porridge with maple syrup & mixed seeds. Raspberry, blackberry and peach fruit salad

zippitippitoes · 28/04/2008 09:06

oh ttoot sounds awful i hope he is ok

Papillon · 28/04/2008 09:08

If your dp rubs his hands could be he wants to massage your perineum Fran. Surely that is what the midwife would suggest, of course

Been getting into butternut soups and that great pumpkin curry recipe posted on here by Tatties I think, cripes how long as 10/10 been running?

stuffitllama · 28/04/2008 09:08

toot wishing you all the best x

berolina · 28/04/2008 09:38

TooT hope they can sort it. Make a fuss of little lad for being brave.

ds1 has been out of kindergarten due to being away and then illness for more or less 4 weeks so was reluctant to go back today he was better towards the end of last week really so I took him, but had to pick him up half an hour later because he was upset when he started in Jan he was so utterly fine and used to always run away from me when I came to pick him up, so this is very unlike him. dh isn't working today so has gone and stayed with him to help ease him back in. In consequence I have the whole day 'off' - well, with ds2 - as dh and ds1 are going to drop by dh's institute and then to ILs this afternoon.

Veg bread, sultanas, pear, banana

Hello

Have just done reading with dd's class. She did an amazing collage of beach huts and sand and sea for show and tell, it was so good - the teacher tried to make her stand in front of the class and talk about it and she froze. Was a different teacher today, a very old bossy one - poor dd was so nervous and the teacher was so impatient I wanted to leap up next to her but couldn't.

Am taking my mother to meet MrsC now! She will talk openly and explicitly about things I Should Not Know. Preparing for some freudian scarring. And a lovely lunch with MrsC
