For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Where is everyone?

[lonely]

FrayedKnot · 28/04/2008 22:29

If I hadn;t been going to the gym lately, I would have wet myslef at Flat Stanley.

Sorry about your back too Avi.

I used to have horrible back probs when I worked full time. Dodgy sacroileac joint. Not sitting down for very long periods has really helped.

FrayedKnot · 28/04/2008 22:29

Hi pink

ladywombling · 28/04/2008 22:36

Hello Pink and FK,

Just popping in to see how everyone is, and to check for news from TooT

Hope everyone is well & feeling fruity.

Franny how [shock} about doula. You seem to be getting lots of great advice here too, it will be fine, you will get through it.

Boco - hope you are not too psychologically scarred by your experience, and MamaBoco, sounds just wonderful, hope she helped informyou put your mind at some sort of ease Mrs C

Franny the midwife had me on my side for a bit when I was in labour. I didn't actually give birth like that but it was a relief to have a change of position

what can you do avi? surely you need to see someone who can tweak you?

the fat burning pill is obscene, I agree

however would be slightly tempted if someone left one on the table in front of me about now

Hi all, T i g e r F e e t here wearing a cunning disguise whilst I conduct a thorough character assasination of farking dh on a different thread.

Toot hope ds is on the mend. xxxxxx [nuts][mango]

Hurrah for Boco Sr she sounds lovely.

Franny I have a lovely friend who had progressively worse SPD with all three of her pregnancies and was wheelchair bound whilst pg with her dc3. I'm sure she would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Tell me more about the meet up - how what when where

ooh not IN my ears I hate things IN my ears
bleugh

are you still feeling positivity from Mama Boco MrsC? How are you getting on today?

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 29/04/2008 11:06

Yes, am fine thanks, feel nervous still but more positive. Going for a lie-down, ds2 woke up a lot last night.

FrannyandZooey · 29/04/2008 11:18

hope you have a good rest
try not to dwell on Mama Boco's sex life won't you now

OP posts:
Boco · 29/04/2008 11:36

Ok well I think whatever she told mrsC must have been things she read in a book because she doesn't or hasn't done anything like that. She conceived me artificially under general anaesthetic in a hospital. So, that's fine. She had to because she only has molded plastic parts like a doll. Ok?

lullabyloo · 29/04/2008 12:02

Ok Boco luvvie
We get you

My mother went into graphic detail about my father's sexual preferences after he left her

I SO did not want that information buzzing about in my head

a pidgeon hit the window wiith a huge thud earlier & my heart has not recovered yet
ds thought it funny

pinkspottywellies · 29/04/2008 14:07

Still no TooT? I know she probably has more pressing things to do. But doesn't she realise we're all camped out in the yurt waiting for news!!

I know loads of people who had really quick SPD Franny that went within a week or two and hardly stopped them doing anything at all. Especially riding bikes and doing sports and running round after other children. If you want to speak to any of them just ring me and I'm sure they'll be here and will speak to you and tell you it will all be fine

UnderRated · 29/04/2008 14:23

Yuck at pidgeon @ parents talking about sex.

Tiger, haven't seen your other thread but hope you are ok.

Where's Toot?

Hope everyone else is ok.

I seem to have scary red eczema on my eyelids. I had it once before, about 10 yrs ago. It is making me look even more washed out that I usually do and I think I have a bit of a junkie look going on. wonderful.
