Am humming 'ma na mana.. ' now. Holstein, I blame you! Grin

Gigondas · 25/02/2012 21:14

A new low for Saturday night- no wine and watching take me out Grin

holstenlips · 25/02/2012 21:16

Haha , I've been saying 'hiii-ya!' all day

holstenlips · 25/02/2012 21:17

Ooh gig, that's painful I had to turn over!

topsyturner · 25/02/2012 21:41

Humph !
Snot fair , I have given up wine for lent . And here you all are , all flaunty with your wine and your gin Grin

Am sitting here watching a film called The Eagle with DH . Lots of sword slashing and brave hunky Romans .
And thinking this time last week I had pulled a Lesbian in an All You Can Eat restaraunt ...
Oh how the mighty have fallen Grin

On the plus side DH is in v good mood as Ireland won the rugby . And DD is on another sleep over .

Made a massive beef stir fry for dinner today . Plenty of left overs if anyone fancies some ?

topsyturner · 25/02/2012 21:42

Ma na ma na Grin

thegreylady · 25/02/2012 21:49

Just joining the new thread-late as usual :)
MAS I am glad the funeral went well and that your reading went well.
Our friends have been making sloe gin-wow!!

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/02/2012 22:23

topsy am in awe of no wine for Lent- no choc much easier !

topsyturner · 25/02/2012 22:57

Am beginning to think I made a huuuuge mistake with my No Wine Month ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 26/02/2012 09:11

you can swap if you like topsy Smile

NedSchneebly · 26/02/2012 09:39

I am doing no booze for Lent, on the basis that I NEED chocolate to get through chemo - the fry's peppermint cream DH bought me yesterday was very delicious settling for my stomach. . . ALso, can't stomach the thought of wine at the moment, but maybe that's cheating?!

greylady DH makes sloe gin. It is truly revolting.

Had 11 hours in bed last night - in bed by 9pm, and DH headed DS off on the landing and took him downstairs at 6.30am, so I could sleep on. . . . mmmmmmmm. . . .

loving the Muppets singing ladies - keep up the good work!

topsyturner · 26/02/2012 10:05

Well I feel so much better this morning for not joining you bunch of lushes sherry sipping ladies Grin
Whether I shall still feel so virtuous after mother in law offers me a glass of wine with Sunday dinner , am not so sure ...

Ooh Ned , Frys Peppermint Cream is absolutely essential for chemo ! Peppermint settles your tummy , and surely peppermint is a herb which equals vegetables which equals 1 of your 5 a day ? Possibly more than 1 of your 5 if you eat more than 1 bar ???

Mana ma na , do do do do dooo Grin

smee · 26/02/2012 11:14

Topsy, you are one wise woman. Love you picking up a Lesbian in an All You Can Eat Restaurant. Grin

Ned, how are you feeling today? Any better?? btw, your DH sounds perfect - lie ins and chocolate. Top marks definitely. Smile

Am I the only devout hedonist on here?! I have given up absolutely nothing for Lent. Off out in a bit - gorgeous spring day. Smile

Sometimesiwonder · 26/02/2012 11:20

Hello all! Sorry to have been awol for a few days (what do you mean you didn't notice? Grin ) Have been working on some more stuff for the client with the very difficult subject matter. They are very, very hi-tec, which isn't me, but they are very lovely and therefore I am willing to overlook it. Also they pay on time, which makes them utterly irresistible.

And I have just finished! WA HAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't it a beautiful day? I am off out for a frolic, so I hope you are all having a lovely time.

Special wave to Elibean for the thoughtful visit to our site - I always love your posts, wherever I encounter them in Health. x

Elibean · 26/02/2012 11:41

What a nice thing to say, Sometimes, thank you Smile

KurriKurri · 26/02/2012 12:00

Morning all (I see it is just still morning)

have fun frolicking Sometimes, and enjoy your day out Smee. I shall venture into the garden shortly, once I've walked Little Old Lady Dog.

topsy - congrats on picking up a lesbian in such an aptly named establishment. I only ever pick up very old men these days - I am bloody cat nip to old men

Ned - Fry's peppermint cream - excellent - your DH sounds brilliant, good work Mr Schneebly!

Waving again to Elibean - totally agree with Sometimes about our posts Smile

Hello and happy Sunday MAS Smile

love to all.

KK, you are making me Blush and dh is going to Get Suspicious Grin

I had better get on with my online shop (which is what I'm meant to be doing, instead of MN and Words with Topsy) - may you all enjoy the sunshine, whether by lolling in a nice warm indoor puddle of it, or venturing out there into the nearly-spring Smile

KurriKurri · 26/02/2012 12:39

I meant your posts of Eli which are always fab, not our - Blush, our makes me sound like a terrible boaster Grin

OP posts:
KurriKurri · 26/02/2012 12:40

Smee, I have most definitely not given up anything! In fact, I have taken up daily creme eggs.

topsyturner · 26/02/2012 13:06

Cat nip to old men , love it !
That's me and the Lipstick Lovelies , have always been tempting to em Grin

Am being thrashed by elibean on words with friends , and also by all my other opponents ...

Nearly finished my knitting for wubblys blanket . Who ever my wool donor was has fantastic taste in wool . Not only was it beautiful colours , but is also the softest I have ever felt . The brand is Rowan I think , have saved the labels so I can buy some at a later date (if I can afford it , feels v expensive)

Right lunch at Granny's is ready , smell ya laters (sorry slipped into teenage boy mode there Grin )

topsyturner · 26/02/2012 13:08
