Afternoon all. > Well, it is Sunday. Am seriously considering getting my shoes on and popping out for healthy Fry's Peppermint Cream and a Crime Egg

Ned, I think Bob will be perfect. How I used to detest Book Days at school. DS1 once went as James Bond (year 5, I think) - black joggers, top, balaclava, length of DH's climbing rope round his shoulders and some gadgetty items too. Also as Gandallf (white sheet, big beard and huge stick/staff). One year I sewed white cotton 'bones' on DS2's black clothes (and mine) and we went to school as the two skeletons in Funny Bones. I loved it when they left but of course I work at school so have to join in and, even though DS1 is 25, he's a teacher so continues to pester me for ideas even now.
Re the anti-sickness tablets, I had the same problems as you're having but found a good healthy portion of about 8 dried prunes did the trick. I had sachets of an orange flavoured drink but they tasted foul and made me feel even worse.
Holsten, yay for appetite coming back. You rebel, you - taking something up for Lent. I might join you. Definitely like the idea of a crime egg a day
Gig, not surprising you're feeling dog tired after all you've been through. Be kind to yourself, rest when you can and treat yourself to a lot bit of what you fancy off the fbs trolley.
DH and I had a lovely day. We were going to London but found out about engineering works on the railway line and a bus service which would have added an extra hour to our journey so decided to go elsewhere. We've walked through the countryside, ambled along a seafront and sat and people-watched as well as having lunch out and afternoon tea out. Our faces are tingling a bit from the sunshine but we have a 'healthy glow'. It's nice to spend some time together but can't help being a bit mad when, arriving home, find the kitchen a shambles because our darling boys don't tidy up or put anything away. Oh well, in the big scheme of things........
