Oh Camel, a diary planning session mustbhave filled your mind with a million what ifs, too.

All the best for tomrrow, I hope whatever happens they give younsome definitive answers tomorrow.

Sometimesiwonder · 03/01/2012 19:08

Dig Sad As you say, she doesn't know you Grin It's v understandable. I am glad you are OK tree and weather-wise, at least. V Scary.

Camel -I usually light a candle for people getting results, but I am out tomorrow so I can't. I'll light one in my head instead. Rooting for you.

Driftwood999 · 03/01/2012 19:13

Fingers crossed for you ElusiveCamel. The wait is awful.
I had my first rads today - a 6 hour round trip! Still, it has to be done. The worst thing about it, is that I had to endure listening to "Wham* I had my eyes closed the whole time.
Good luck for tomorrow everyone.

DigOfTheStump · 03/01/2012 19:20

i like a bit of Wham, not six hours though! Hope you don't have any side effects, such as quietly singing Careless Whisper inTesco Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/01/2012 19:42

oh dig the tree thing sounds scary -am not surprised you were upset.
loads and loads of good thoughts coming your way tomorrow for you camel

By the way, there's a thread on 'natural' cancer treatments-the op saw some tv program -the pharmaceutical conspiracy thing.

Driftwood999 · 03/01/2012 19:51

Wham was during the treatment. So minutes, not hours thankfully. The nice driver played classic fm! If I hear Wham then I have to see the video, to get the whole hideous experience of 80's hair and clothes and then I sort of enjoy it! Confused

NedSchneebly · 03/01/2012 19:52

Hey Camel last couple of days have gone more quickly cos I am back to work tomorrow and DS is back to school, so have been making the most of mummy and boy time. Been thinking about you a lot. Hope you are ok. When is your appointment? Definitely with you on the up and down bit. All signs point to everything being fine for me, but theres always that doubt. 4am tis morning was "what if I've had my last christmas?" Sad I know it's mad, and completely disrespectful almost, given that others are clearly living with their bc with such strength and positivity, but there it is. . . That's where I'm at today, guess.

KurriKurri · 03/01/2012 19:55

Dig the tree thing sound v. scary Shock hope you are OK now.

MAS - I'm glad your head op. went well Smile

I just saw the thread about natural cancer treatments, I resisted posting because I always get annoyed about these things.

My hair is looking very short but feels much neater - I got rained on as soon as I came out of the hairdressers though.

I had a horrid night last night - didn't sleep at all, got terribly upset, and I've just felt dreadful and tearful all day. I am so heartbroken Sad

I may go AWOL for a few days - just to get my head together, I don't want to bring everyone down. I think I'll do a lot of yoga and meditation, and see if that helps. Sad

Just wanted to wish Camel love and luck for tomorrow, and love to your DD sometimes - hope she's all better now.

xx

Driftwood999 · 03/01/2012 19:59

Go gently KK, losing one's dad is momentous, however ill they have been, it takes time and you should allow yourself to grieve in whatever way feels right. Hope your mum is "coping".

amberlight · 03/01/2012 20:01

KK, hugs.
Just found out DS's godmother has died...of cancer...so that's the third death in a couple of weeks. Welcome to 2012, Amber.
Keeping everyone in thoughts (and prayers for those who would like that too - matters not which faith ye are)

topsyturner · 03/01/2012 20:24

kk do what you need to do , but please feel free to vent here as much as you need to .

Drift I forgot how far you live from your treatment center , you poor thing . Did you look in to staying closer ? My hospital offers a free B&B service for those who have to travel like you .

Amber sorry for the loss . I am sorry you have lost so many people recently .

Ned it doesn't matter what other peoples troubles are , yours are worrying you and they are very valid . And I wake up at 3am doing my what ifs constantly .

What time is your appointment tomorrow camel ? I will be thinking of you and hope all goes well .

I saw that post about natural cancer cures . Bicarbinate of soda I believe ?
I sat on my hands before I typed something I would regret ...

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/01/2012 20:27

very, very sorry about your son's godmother amber -what crap you have had recently. kk don't go for long-and do feel you can say whatever you like on here- we don't mind - lots of love xxxx

It's at 4.40pm. My oldest friend is coming with me.

Thank you, everyone for the good wishes. Feeling now, for the first time this week, quite scared and close to teary. I need to do some tidying and then I think a glass of Wine.

ElusiveCamel · 03/01/2012 20:40

So sorry, amber, that's rough :(

DigOfTheStump · 03/01/2012 20:51

Amber, so sorry for yourloss.

KK (((hugs))))

Camel Wine

smee · 03/01/2012 20:56

Oh Amber, that's sad. What a start to the year you're having. Sounds trite, but surely it can only get better. Sad

Kurri, don't stay away unless it's simply the right thing for you. None of us will mind at all if you need to talk about it all. Am sending a huge hug and wishing I could help. Sad

Dig, that's scary about the tree. I'd bet I'd have burst into tears too. Does sound normal, especially if you're a coper. You take care now and remember to talk it all out with us. It does help I think.

Camel, I'll be rooting for you tomorrow at 4.40. What a sod that its late in the day. Let us know how you are when you can. x

Ned, you're Thursday I think?? Not long for you to wait either now. Glad you're keeping busy.

Drift one down's excellent, even with Wham. My music was different every day - used to play 'Name that tune' with the Rads team. They went from the 1812 Overture one day to Blue the next day. Grin

I will go look at that Natural Cancer thread. Might not be able to sit on my hands though. Angry

ElusiveCamel · 03/01/2012 21:28

I will go look at that Natural Cancer thread.
Where is it? I couldn't find it?

ElusiveCamel · 03/01/2012 21:32

What a sod that its late in the day.
I know, but looking on the bright side I won't look like quite such a lush when I hit the booze as soon as I get home (either answer) compared to say if my appointment was at 9.40 Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/01/2012 23:03

good point camel - mine was at 5.30 -we had Wine as soon as we got home.
