My favourite ever (and perhaps a little embarrassing) film, ever.........

Robin Hood. Prince of thieves.

I just love it.

My best ever present was when DH bought me the video. He put the DVD in my stocking at Christmas last. I may have cried a bit.
The Bryan Adams song makes me fill up every time.

I am ashamed that I have just written this and my favourite film isn't something intelligent and high brow but I am a bit post-nights-deletions and I have had wine.

Robin Hood isn't embarrassing, love it! Used to watch it over and over for Will Scarlett (Christian Slater) Smile
I love loads of films that people probably roll their eyes at and think aren't highbrow enough, but not bovvered, me Grin

Miss Congeniality - "She's beauty and she's grace, she's Miss United States...."

10 Things I Hate About You (love the scene where Heath serenades her at the game and gets bundled off ... "I love you baby........"
Liar Liar with Jim Carrey Grin
Grease
Dirty Dancing
Pretty Woman

TSSDNCOP · 24/04/2017 21:38

Niffler I like the bit in Volcano! Where the train bloke melts going between carriages.

paddypants13 · 24/04/2017 21:44

Also I love Seven Brides for seven brothers, 27 dresses, He's just not that in to you, Pretty Woman, Grease 2, Four Weddings, Green Card (Andy McDowell and Gerard Depardieu), the original version of The Parent Trap... I could go on.

Dailymaildailyfail · 24/04/2017 21:46

Beaches! When Bette Midler sings Wind Beneath My Wings I sob like a baby Grin

ShuttyTown · 24/04/2017 21:51

Hocus Pocus!

LancashireTea · 24/04/2017 21:55

Father of the Bride is my guilty pleasure. I normally start sobbing from about 45 minutes in and am a wailing mess by the end. Bloody love it though.

LifeBeginsNow · 24/04/2017 22:16

Jurrasic Park never gets old and I love Housesitter with Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin.

TheBadgersMadeMeDoIt · 24/04/2017 22:18

Nothing wrong with Robin Hood! Loved it. It introduced me to both Alan Rickman and Morgan Freeman. The music was awesome (yes, even the song)... and I saw it in the cinema with my lovely first boyfriend. Happy days!

But my favourite guilty pleasure is Mr Holland's Opus. Whenever I need a happy tears ending, it never fails.

dalek · 24/04/2017 22:34

Steel Magnolias
Grease
Four Weddings

PinkGlitter17 · 24/04/2017 22:37

Truly, Madly, Deeply. I don't know whether that is embarrassing, but I think it is SO beautiful. Divine Alan Rickman. Divine JulietvStevenson.

Enchanted

Harvestmoonsobig · 24/04/2017 22:44

When Harry Met Sally Smile

GetInTheFuckingSea · 24/04/2017 22:48

Wornoutbear I'm so glad that someone else has said Waterloo Bridge! It is corny as fuck with the little winks as she does her pirouetting but I love it. And actually the goodnight waltz scene is lovely.

But it is a load of old cobblers. Still I cry like a bairn.

Pinkglitter with you on that. I think I cry even more than Juliet when I watch it. She should definitely have stuck with him and not drippy magic guy though. So what if he's dead? No one's perfect. (As Tony Curtis said ...)

Teddy6767 · 24/04/2017 22:49

Romy & Michelle's high school reunion! Seen it a million times but still love it

MrsHouseBrownie · 24/04/2017 22:55

Robin Hood PoT and Point Break. I can't watch with anyone else in case they comment or criticize! Blush

BonnieBlueButler · 24/04/2017 23:08

The Lost Boys and Terminator 2!

squoosh · 24/04/2017 23:10

Three Men and a Little Lady

The underrated sequel to the cinematic masterpiece that is Three Men and a Baby.

While You Were Sleeping - I just love this film even though rom coms aren't really my thing

Lethal Weapon - all of them obviously

Four Weddings and a Funeral

Save the Last Dance - cheesy high school romance about a teen girl who was born to dance

Tootsie although that's a masterpiece rather than a guilty pleasure. I SAID GOOD DAY SIR

squoosh · 24/04/2017 23:11

I'm welling up a bit just thinking if Waterloo Bridge though 😪😥😢

JaneJeffer · 24/04/2017 23:12

I've never seen the Robin Hood film! I do love Top Gun though and I've lost count of the number of times I've watched it. Also love Far and Away despite the terrible Irish accents.

27 Dresses is another one, I love James Marsden.

Smellyoulateralligater · 24/04/2017 23:14

Legally blonde. I love it.
Also love Armageddon and I always cry my eyes out. DH is a film buff and is always horrified at my taste in films.
Independence Day is also something I could watch anytime Blush

Smellyoulateralligater · 24/04/2017 23:16

And yes to 7 brides! Bless your beauty hide! I should be more ashamed.
