It really doesn't help women to pretend men commit rape entirely at random and there are no factors which might allow us to predict when rape is more likely.
We do know what factors make rape more likely; knowing the rapist.
The reason rape statistics are a wild guess is because rape is reported so rarely. It's reported so rarely because of lack of trust in the judicial system and because you're likely to know your rapist.
Women and girls are raped by family, friends, relatives, colleagues and partners. Stranger rape is rare.
Energy is best spent telling women and girls what to wear around their school friends or husbands so they can avoid rape.
