Afternoon Ladies,

How are you all? Its a glorious day out and I am sitting at the computer Trying to get DS2 to have a little nap - he has had me up since 5.50 this morning, was out at the park early and been round my neighbours back for a while this afternonn so he is shattered. Fell asleep in the car for about 15 mins thismorning so want hm to have an hour now or tea time will be a nightmare!!!

Thats a real shame about the fete Blissa, poor DS! Hopw the horses made up fo lack of donkey, lol! How was the vic sponge?

Piggy so glad to hear work has been going so well for you! Just think of the extra money + amazing discounts! Not seen SATC yet, but hoping to in the coming weeks! Let us know if its any good!

Well DS has gone over I think, best go check him them sit out and enjoy the sun for a while!

Will be back later x x x

blissa · 31/05/2010 18:11

Hi all

Hope ds had a good sleep Yommy, and doesn't get you up so early tomorrow. It's been very grey here today, but is meant to get warmer and sunnier as the week goes on...

Glad yesterday went well Piggy. Enjoy SATC today, I haven't even seen the first one!

Hope you are ok today Lola and feeling less tired.

Still loads of cake left so of course I'll share . It's orange flavoured and it actually came out really nice- my cakes are very hit and miss. I only have one huge tin as I've lost the base to my smaller one, so have to make big cakes, shame!

Have been out with dp and the dcs this afternoon for a walk in a country park and a kick about on the green, treated ourselves to ice-cream too!

Hi all

Blissa-mmh vic sponge
Sounds like you had a nice day today

piggymad-Glad to hear that your new job is going well

Yommymommy-You must be shattered .How old is your ds?

We have had a strange couple of days where we couldnt decide where to go and what to do.So we ended up just flitting about from park to park to icecream seller....
Feeling very fat and bloated now so as usual i am vowing to be strict with myself from now on.Trouble is it never lasts as my willpower is non exsistant.Hate feeling like this cos it just adds to the B.D.D.
Ah well new day tomorrow

Beauregard · 01/06/2010 21:49

Hi did i kill the thread?

Hope everyone is ok?

My CBT appointment was cancelled this week so have to wait until next tuesday. Is it silly to feel disapointed?

PiggyMad · 01/06/2010 22:35

Hi Pelvic! Definitely not silly to feel disappointed - if you'd psyched yourself up for it and know it feels like it's working then of course you will feel a bit down hope it is ok for next week - how annoying.

I'm ok but had a bit of a gloomy/anxious day today after being so busy the past few days. Also bit anxious about doing full day at work tomorrow wondering how I will manage 9-6 (sounds silly doesn't it, but am just about ok containing anxiety for four hour shifts so concerned about 9 hours )

SATC was rubbish, by the way! Was very impressed with myself though as tend to avoid the cinema due to anxiety but I was fine and we went out for meal afterwards - also anxiety (mainly) free!

Hope everyone else is ok xx

Beauregard · 02/06/2010 00:45

Hi piggy

Hope you get on ok at work today(why am i still up at this time?)
I can understand what you mean that it will seem harder to hold it together for a longer shift.Im sure you will be fine though.

thislittlesisterlola · 02/06/2010 16:40

Hi all, sorry havent been able to get the pc to write a proper reply.
piggy- hope work is ok today, you may find it goes quite quickly with lunch and tea breaks. Hope it ok. Am going to watch SATC tonight, dont really want to go but I said I would (sigh) oh well an excuse to eat popcorn!
pelvic i know what you mean about being disappointed. You gear yourself up for something and then when it doesnt happen I often feel a bit off track.

I'm annoyed! dp's mum bought us a gorgeous blanket for baby and I wanted to wash it... so got his sheets together all ready to wash and I bloody missed the blanket out the wash! grrr! I get so annoyed over little things. I also rang the bank to get some password I've forgotten. Finally got it and now I need it I cant remember where I put the blooming bit of paper grr! Really dont feel up to calling them again! Also my boots parenting mag came today and they gave me really rubbish coupons I know 'always' will be handy a lot later on after the birth but money off maternity pads would be more useful grr!

Anyhow, hope everyone else is ok. I am trying hard to fight off these anxious thoughts I'm getting. So far am ok.

Hope everyone is getting some sunshine

PiggyMad · 02/06/2010 19:11

Hi ladies,
Back from work - shattered but it went ok! Discovered I get £100 a month to spend on uniform and get 75% discount on it

SATC film I thought was rubbish - def not as good as the first one, but have fun anyway lola!

Hi Pelvic - you had a late night!! I try to be in bed by ten but internet dp keeps me awake until after 11.

Hi to Yommy, blissa, kildare and choclab xxx

blissa · 02/06/2010 19:52

Hi girls

Glad work went well today Piggy. £100 spending on uniform! . Sounds like you had a nice night out, even though the film wasn't good. I haven't seen either!

Sorry your appointment has been cancelled Pelvic. It's not silly that you feel disappointed, it sounded like your last session really helped.

Have a lovely time tonight lola. I hope you are feeling calmer now.

Half term is going ok here. Was a beautiful day here today, we've been to Legoland for the day- am knackared!

TheArmadillo · 02/06/2010 20:18

Hello

Can I join - I have generalised anxiety (and some fun paranoid delusions/hallucinations when it gets bad - so most days )

At home atm - was on sick leave, now using up my holiday until I go on maternity leave (am 31 weeks now). DH unemployed so at home full time (need him to be atm as couldn't cope alone). Also have 5yo ds.

Taking fluoxetine and risperidone atm and both helping but still not well enough to work or anything like that.

Today reasonable day but had panic over doctors stuff again. Managed to stay reasonably calm. I don't have attacks like hyperventilating or stuff - mostly I stutter/shake/twitch and then start thinking goblins are following me or whatever todays special is.

Looking forward to baby arrived - already dropped a couple of weeks ago and having almost constant braxton hicks so think this one might be earlier rather than later. All stuff ready and packed (the thing with this anxiety means at least I can't leave things till the last minute).

Am I too crazy to join? I feel like a complete fruit loop half the time atm. Ok most the time. Mad as a badger

blissa · 02/06/2010 20:26

Hi Armadillo, of course you can join us

We now have 2 impending arrivals on the thread!

Sounds like you've had a tough time lately, was the dr today to do with the baby?

OP posts:
PiggyMad · 02/06/2010 20:42

Hey ladies,
welcome to armadillo - sounds like you've had an awful time of things Hope you're managing to get a bit of rest in before the baby arrives. Panic attacks are horrible - I'm feeling a bit better now but still get panicky twangs.

Hey blissa - where is legoland? sounds awesome! was it just you and dcs or is dp around? already picked out my 'uniform' for the next three months - wonder how weird I'll look prancing around the shop floor in a ball gown !! xxx

blissa · 02/06/2010 20:46

Piggy. I'm sure it was Monsoons window I saw a lovely black maxi dress in the other day. I don't normally do maxi dresses but I really liked that one if you fancy sending it my way!!

Legoland is just outside Windsor. I used my Tesco clubcard poins to get annual passes for us all, otherwise we'd never be able to afford to go. I went with a friend and her dcs today

OP posts:
TheArmadillo · 02/06/2010 21:07

Am under gp care for the anxiety so see dr everyweek to check in and to get my prescription.

COmplicated situation but basically I was moved from this (temporary) gp to another as this one is leaving. Did not get on wiht new one (left me in a state) so went back to see this one to arrange to see another (IYSWIM) so that threw me into panic having to explain why (thinking they were going to throw me out of surgery or something). Then couldn't book appt with new one I was supposed to transfer to and aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhh.

Had bad week after seeing last dr with particularly bad episode sunday night which left dh in tears . Was hoping today could sort it all out and feel better. At least dentist has been cancelled on friday (have whole load of other panic about that )

It's tiring all this panicking -does anyone else find that. Just utterly exhausting.

Nice to know I;m not the only knocked up one with this - it helps.

PiggyMad · 02/06/2010 21:35

Armadillo, what a very scary situation for you and your dp I agree the panicking and worrying is exhausting - I used to go to bed shattered and need to sleep at least an extra two hours more than my dp. And I didn't really do anything other than worry all day as gave up my part-time job due to relocation (which I think added to the mass outburst of panic). I hope you start to find some things to help make you feel better soon xx

PiggyMad · 02/06/2010 21:40

blissa, have spotted the black maxi dress - it's a best seller! We've got it in blue too I think I'm going for a linen flowery camisole and pink cardy this month - or a navy spotty dress and lemon cardy - can't decide. Scary how £100 doesn't actually got that far!!

Glad the dcs enjoyed legoland - crikey a year's pass!! How often do you go?

thislittlesisterlola · 03/06/2010 10:12

hi all piggy you lucky thing £100 on uniform and the clothes are so lovely! Hey armidillo, sorry to hear you have been having a tough time. I find doctor's and anything medical very stressful as well. Few weeks ahead of you, hope your not too uncomfortable. Blissa glad legoland was good fun, and with tesco points- i'll have to look into that. Get tad too excited about points meaning prizes! Didnt get to see the film- sold out! So we went for a cocktail instead, in my case it was more like a smoothie but got a few of my 5 a day in so cant complain beautiful day today have nothing to do but did alot yesterday so i guess it evens itself out. Whats everyone up to today? Got fab weather for half term. Hope everyone else is ok

sorry double post!

PiggyMad · 03/06/2010 10:40

Hi lola! Smoothies probably better than the film! Just been to tesco for some hay!! Working at 2pm so trying to get some phd work done beforehand but so difficult when the weather is gorgeous!
Get yourself in the garden with some chick lit or the radio and enjoy the peace!

TheArmadillo · 03/06/2010 11:16

alcoholic smoothies that count towards your 5 aday sound fantastic

I remember years ago TGI Fridays used to do a peaches and cream (ice cream) cocktail that was lush. Should recreate it at home once the small one has vacated.

thislittlesisterlola · 03/06/2010 12:56

Well ladies in my attempt to be useful I somehow tangled the bloody washing line up and I cant fix it our monitor hasnt been delivered so it probably come tomorrow which is annoying as I'm seeing my mum. Hopefully after talking to dp and mum it will be resolved. I'm so impatient its terrible! I like things sorted so I know what's going on.

I think I'll be making some smoothies over the weekend with dp. Bit more exciting than lemonade or water!

Piggy hope work goes ok, phd sounds exciting can i ask what you are doing it in?

Ammadillo hope your enjoying the sunshine

Lola

TheArmadillo · 03/06/2010 13:14

I am loving the sunshine!

Am hiding inside but have all the windows open and the second load of washing on the line. Tis drying very quickly.

blissa · 03/06/2010 13:18

It is all thoroughly exhausting Armadillo. I haven't suffered a panic attack for a while now, but remember feeling totally shattered after one. It's just so draining when you can't focus on anything else. I hope the gp situation gets sorted soon, you don't need that worrying you at this time. Do you have any names picked for baby?

Yesterday was the first time we've been with our annual passes Piggy. My friend talked me into getting them, I'd normally save them up for money of the Christmas shop. I'm glad I did, Legoland is only about 20 minutes drive away so it's quite handy and like I say, we wouldn't be able to afford a day at a theme park otherwise.

Think I might have to invest in that maxi dress if it's still there next time I go shopping, or at least try it on! Don't envy you working in this weather, hope this afternoon goes well.

Glad you still had a nice night out lola. What is the monitor for?

Really hot here today. Have got my friends 2 dcs over and they all kepp squabbling. I am trying to rescue the plants that have been neglected in the greenhouse for the past few days, so many need re-potting. Then off to a friends for tea later

Hi to Yommy, kildare, choclab and Pelvic, hope you're out enjoying the sunshine xx
