We filled up your thread, snowmash! So here's another one.

Neither weather nor circumstance seems to be cooperating at the moment, so I thought we could do with a virtual garden to sit out in.

shodatin has started work already:
"we don't lose anything to the frost here, and nobody thieves our daffs and precious bay trees. Most days will be sunny I think, but sometimes we have rain at night, particularly when we've done some planting..."

And I think it needs a summer house with a chiminea or the like to sit round after dark and toast our tootsies.

Morning all! So glad you can paint today Pixie and have a break from missing/worrying about DC for a few minutes at a time; something utterly absorbing is required.

Hey snowmash, glad you managed to say hello, hope you have a good day with beneficial effects from meds, and will look forward to more news when phone's topped up again. Don't forget, if you'd like a painting set, we can no doubt get one for you, and you too can have a bit of a break from the unpleasant present.

And speaking of which, am now off to inspect my drive for remains of effluent from yesterday's drain clearance. Ugh, clothespeg for nose I think...

I 've spent so long avoiding the calories in cake and biscuits, it never occurs to me to eat between meals, but I'm learning on this thread, thanks to all the and now cake from TIANC.

Hope you're remembering to refuel on this energetic day, and many thanks for the cake - so considerate and considerate of yr DP too.

Hope you're doing OK snowmash (someone else who needs a reminder about refuelling),and that you're recovering from yesterday's bruises.

Thanks for choosing the nicer option, shodatin, as Gob suits me perfectly. Rather shocked that you never allow yourself snacks between meals, but if you're not feeling trembley / headachey due to that routine it must mean your diet and metabolism are perfectly suited , leading to a very stable blood sugar level etc (ramble, ramble). Glad you've been enjoying our garden snacks. Hope you feel less exhausted tomorrow after recent exertions.

Mine has been very down, but got to talk to staff this pm which helped.

Thanks, absolutely knackered but some hard work done by the workman, so counts as a good day.

Sorry yours has been down, snowmash. It's really good to hear the staff are worth talking to, tho. Hope you've adjusted a bit to the temperatures in Hotel Tropicana too, and are getting a bit more sleep.

Sorry been a very down day for you snowmash , but very glad you got to chat properly with staff. Thank you , had a good day- just came back from an unusually eventful anti- cuts meeting and came nose to nose with a deer! Very beautiful , and even better, she was still there when I ran in to call DH to see her.
Sorry for my waffle about blood sugar, shodatin - I am very earnest!
You must be drained, pixie...hope you have one of the comforting dreams which sometimes arrive in times of great stress..

Hope phone will be restored to you snowmash...I never like to ask whether you've had any chance to be in the open air in case it causes you (further) distress about your circumstances, but obviously I hope the overstretched staff manage to find time to help you have that. It seems a good sign that you've been able to see the sunshine...sorry if putting foot in it. Your post sounded organised and positive anyway, so hope you have a decent day.

Found deer tracks this morning ( well, disturbed earth where its hooves had been )...it was a magical experience to interact with it & I'm still "floating".
