We filled up your thread, snowmash! So here's another one.

Neither weather nor circumstance seems to be cooperating at the moment, so I thought we could do with a virtual garden to sit out in.

shodatin has started work already:
"we don't lose anything to the frost here, and nobody thieves our daffs and precious bay trees. Most days will be sunny I think, but sometimes we have rain at night, particularly when we've done some planting..."

And I think it needs a summer house with a chiminea or the like to sit round after dark and toast our tootsies.

pixie hope it all goes well today - although ds is disabled he's only had one overnight stay in hospital since his SCBU days and it nearly floored me...

Meanwhile my poxy pixie is his big-smile-self again and the spots are drying out fast Smile

1 week unconscious in NICU with unknown prognosis (dark days - ditto for MH problems) and 2 weeks in SCBU being monitored and establishing feeding.

He was term by the way, not prem. At 7lb4 he was te bruiser of the ward!

shodatin · 09/03/2011 10:06

Morning all - snowmash, hope you had a productive talk about climbing the fence; I gather you were originally intending to leave, but now know the fence was real and you would have got hurt if you'd gone over.
I think it was cityhobgoblin who said you were in the right place, and I believe this too - you do need time for the meds to work, then you'll be able to see that you have every right to whatever resources the staff decide you need to be well. You are the only person who has any doubt about this, and it's down to the depression.

Pixie, hope you have good news from the hospital, and madmouse, hope your smiley son has a good day too and look forward to seeing him in the garden i/c sandpit.

cityhobgoblin · 09/03/2011 10:10

snowmash, I think we're all particularly concerned for you today and hope you can speak frankly to the staff about the events of yesterday, and the reason for your felt so dreadful the last 2 days. Is that naive of me?
I hope you don't find they reproach you, "I don't think I'll be much liked tomorrow"- they're there to support you, not to be sujective, so even if their day to day conversations with you sound more "human" than professional, with lots of opinions and encouragement, etc, their basic reponse to your feelings and actions at this time will be a down to earth understanding that they may be caused to your depression and also the stress of being in hospital on such regular obs. They shouldn't really be wheedling at you to try to "do " anything better other than to seek support to cope with being on the ward till you feel better.

shodatin, that's a very clear idea of the fence incident and hope that snowmash can as you say have a productive talk about it.
yaaaaaaay madmouse's DS in sandpit.

cityhobgoblin · 09/03/2011 10:22

Sad sorry, pixie and madmouse's recent posts didn't show up on firefox before I posted. You and your children have endured ordeals which humble me.( sorry, can't get words right at all today).
Best wishes for today, pixie, and very pleased your "poxy pixie" is on the mend, madmouse.

shodatin · 09/03/2011 10:57

Glad you posted about the delays on here, cityhobgoblin, I keep finding posts which were not there when I started, and it seems they are being ignored when my post is unrelated - gremlins?

cityhobgoblin · 09/03/2011 11:03

Ah shodatin, I just assumed it was because I wasn't using Internet Explorer (ahem, have much to learn about even basic computer stuff) - it happens more when I use Firefox. Will have a look on Site Stuff , thanks.

Thanks pixieonaleaf- I thought it only happens if you're trying to post at the very same time as another poster, and I wasn't sure if there was always a delay whilst I was writing my posts.

ThisIsANiceCage · 09/03/2011 12:59

Hey snowmash how did the morning go? Sorry things are so awful for you right now. Sad

Pixie leaf have my fingers crossed that you'll have several deliveries today, one from Amazon and a more precious one after consultant's rounds this evening.

And I'm so glad minimouse is through the nasty bit. Another childhood/parenting landmark safely reached and almost behind you now. [tick]

Hope good news for pixie.

snowmash · 09/03/2011 19:05

Thanks for all the hugs.

Thinkig of DD2 pixie and glad DS spots are drying out madmouse

shodatin · 09/03/2011 20:28

Thanks for the Brew TIANC, I never remember. I'm assuming today's been a good day for you?

Hope Pixie Leaf got her painting equipment too, and got DC back from hospital today.

This is a peaceful part of the day, and have just had a rest after expending too much energy cleaning up after an unblocked drain. Lovely plumber had to leave for school run, and I couldn't think of anyone who'd come round and clean up. Exhausting, and I'm still hoping for rain before morning.

snowmash · 09/03/2011 20:45

Hope you get rain shodatin. Good night all (very tired today)

shodatin · 09/03/2011 21:03

Good night snowmash, sleep well. W ill miss you here.
