We filled up your thread, snowmash! So here's another one.

Neither weather nor circumstance seems to be cooperating at the moment, so I thought we could do with a virtual garden to sit out in.

shodatin has started work already:
"we don't lose anything to the frost here, and nobody thieves our daffs and precious bay trees. Most days will be sunny I think, but sometimes we have rain at night, particularly when we've done some planting..."

And I think it needs a summer house with a chiminea or the like to sit round after dark and toast our tootsies.

Morning all.
TIANC, thanks for posting. I was actually still up at 1.30 but thought I'd be the only one. Hope you can have a less strenuous day today, and that all your hard work pays off.
Sorry to hear about poor mouseling, and hope life improves for him very soon.
Had a lovely lunch hob, thankyou. Booze won't mix with drugs, and I almost stopped at age 40- (yes, I am ancient)-due to unwanted calories. I rarely think about it, except when some poor soul has a glass of gin to help with the depression, or when I decide on vanilla-cream sauce with pud rather than rum.
Please come back, snowmash, we miss you.

cityhobgoblin · 13/04/2011 09:52

Morning all and hope everyone had a decent rest.
Excellent online work, TIANC - very rewarding to know you're making some difference to people . Hope you get a lie in today.
Grin at fruit based joy

Hope everyone has a good day and TIANC's antihistamines do such a good job that everyone inc dc can sit out in our summerhouse.

Out but thinking of snowmash and those concerned for her

cityhobgoblin · 13/04/2011 10:06

Ah, morning shodatin- ancient indeed!!! Quite wrinkly myself . I do miss a drop of rum sauce but it sends me reeling Grin

shodatin · 13/04/2011 12:41

Did you know you can buy rum-flavouring hob? It's a well-kept secret in the catering industry - that flavour you can't quite recognise!- but it could be OK in white sauce for pud, haven't tried it, as a friend told me about his own non-alcoholic Christmas flavouring, white sauce with cinnamon powder (+ sugar), or easiest of all, vanilla icecream.
I'm about to have left-overs now, but not pud, unfortunately...
Hope you're adjusting to the food now, snowmash, although I have snacks ready to send any time.

madmouse · 13/04/2011 13:57

Can I have some virtual garden peace? My morning at work was aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh

frustrating beyond belief!

but never mind - home now with mousling - time to chill out

hope everyone ok x

shodatin · 13/04/2011 15:46

I'm sure our cyber-garden is lovely at the moment, madmouse, and TIANC has no doubt arranged for Brew at the touch of a button. Birds are probably singing - I can hear squeaky noises too, which just might be nestlings. Hope your own nestling is coping with the exercises, and has got the idea they'll make him better. Work is finished today, however horrible it was at the time, and the rest of the 24 hours is all yours (I think it is, anyway!)

ThisIsANiceCage · 13/04/2011 17:34

Hands out belated relaxing Brew, in case there's still a need after shodatin has been busy. Hope you're now properly chilled out, madmouse.

I must have been well frazzled last night, as touch of button produced brew, not Brew. Shock Not helping others on the other thread, unfortunately hob. Asking lovely MN to help me. But TIANC is quite recognisable to RL people, and this involves family's RL private stuff. But it is helping.

shodatin, have you seen this thread: Has anyone got artificial grass in their garden? I think they need you!

snowmash, thinking of you. And of course everyone else here.

OP posts:
shodatin · 13/04/2011 21:10

Thanks, TIANC, it's an interesting thread, but I don't actually have the grass yet, just a couple of quotes. There have been just too many other items to purchase this year, plus two more planned before the grass expense, so it doesn't seem to get any closer.

ThisIsANiceCage · 13/04/2011 21:21

Ah yes, the everlasting To Do/Buy list. It never gets any shorter. But it may get longer.

But how lovely that you may have chicks somewhere. Any idea where or what they might be?

Hi Pixie - I'm worried about snowmash too, but don't know what to do. It's possible there's a phone problem, but also possible that with changes in thinking, snowmash may no longer want to post to us.

TIANC, my front garden has conifers, some large enough to have hidden nests, and birds seen most often (apart from gulls) are blackbirds. I know they're happy close to the house, but would they nest about head-height?

Sad

snowmash, the thing we care about most is that you be alright. If you're OK, we're glad. We do miss your company, and if we haven't got things right for you we're sorry. We just hope you're OK.

Lots of love coming your way, for whatever's happening at the moment.

Evening all . Hope snowmash is seeing your lovely messages.

Won't witter on too much so as not to draw attention from them , but just wanted to say hi as have been out all day. Hope madmouses had fun this afternoon & everyone is well - excellent if you have chicks, shodatin.
Ah TIANC, hope you got some good answers - I think of MNers as being pieces of the jigsaw..herbal bedtime Brew anyone?

snowmash · 14/04/2011 00:03

Please dont be concerned I nerd time to read this all properly.

Very knock out/passing out recently due to drugs

ThisIsANiceCage · 14/04/2011 00:07

Ooh, bedtime Brew! Thank you hob!

Hmm, MNers as pieces of the jigsaw. Hadn't thought of it that way, but you're right of course. I'll go to bed with that.

Night night all, wherever you all are. Sleep well.

X-posts strike again!

Rather glad to see you, snowmash. GrinGrinGrin

So sorry you've been knocked out. Hope you're not feeling too hideously ghastly now.

Hi snowmash, lovely to hear from you, but such a shame you're unwell.
It must be very difficult for you, thank you for managing to post. (Have just been "absent" myself, or would have said goodnight earlier)
Hope life gets easier for you, and you're soon back with us again.

snowmash · 14/04/2011 09:20

Thanks all for hanging around. I am unwell and was unwell - still increasing knock out meds :(So not really with it/scrambled brain

Thanks for all the support

ThisIsANiceCage · 14/04/2011 09:40

Really sorry you're so unwell and scrambled at the moment. Sad

Hope this is a planned thing, so you get to sleep while your body and brain fix themselves a bit. But sounds kinda unpleasant in the awake bits.

OP posts:
shodatin · 14/04/2011 09:45

Morning all, lovely to hear from snowmash again. You must be getting better slowly, as you can now post again, but obviously a difficult time for you.
Please let us know if we can do/find out anything to help - we're happy to be here and glad you're back.

cityhobgoblin · 14/04/2011 09:56

Thank you so much for coming back (((snowmash))). Very sorry you're unwell and hope / wish we can help in some way.
So sorry for my stupid long posts taking up so much space on your phone - just idle chat you must just ignore (still takes effort to scroll through , thoughSad).

shodatin , are you all right this morning after absent spell last night ? Hope you're not especially unwell.

TIANC* , hope jigsaw remark not too annoying - it's an idea I got from Friends , whereby some people think that , as everyone houses Energy / love /the divine ( "there is that of god in everyone" , we all form useful parts of a whole when we join up.

Hope everyone has a good day - 'tis National Day of Protest Against Benefit Cuts, espaecially to disability benefits , so I'm lucky to be able to go off to do some of that.

Thinking of you , snowmash . So glad you came back , but sorry all so rotten for a while yet

madmouse · 14/04/2011 10:28

snowmash hello - feel sorry that you feel so rubbish but rightly or wrongly a bit excited that you are obviously managing to take meds or you wouldn't feel like this. Hmm - must feel like a no-win situation for you!

Look after yourself as well as you can - you know where we are of you need anything xx

shodatin · 14/04/2011 11:05

Hello hob, the jigsaw idea is new to me, but why not, after all.
I'm OK thanks, nothing new and happens all the time, should have turned the light out earlier, that's all, and I only mentioned it for snowmash really.
Hope we're all having a good day - I've cleared a great many dandelions so am pleased with self .

I didn';t know about the protest day - there's always so little I can do, but thanks for being active for us and let's hope for improvements.
You're right madmouse, not much fun for snowmash but definitely the way forward, so hoping for improvements there too.

snowmash · 14/04/2011 13:05

Apparently me saying I'm unwell is progress.

Antipsychotics are not nice drugs, still increasing them.

My aim is to stay informal.

Hope everyone is ok.
