Hi Lela,

Wishing you all the contractions in the world!

Is there anyone on this thread you know well enough to be able to text say, if you do end up in labour/in hospital? It's a very selfish question so don't worry if you have no plans to do that at all, I'm just being nosy!

OooohWhatIfItHurts · 23/10/2010 23:05

Hi Lela

Another one here thinking of you.

If you're still up to checking in with us, I wanted to let you know that although contractions are hard work, the good thing about them is that every one you have represents a little progress, and is one that you have got through and won't have to go through again. Once the process starts, everything is a step forward even if it is slow going sometimes.

The labour will be over soon. I know you are worried about what follows, but that will be the only thing you need to think about at that point and you won't have the anxiety about childbirth adding to your worry list.

I know you won't agree but I really do think you've done incredibly well. You've already done 99% of the hard work and although this last 1% is scary stuff I know you will do yourself proud.

Huge un-MN hugs to you.

bubbahubba · 23/10/2010 23:21

how "overdue" are you?
can you not go in for expectant monitoring. have a look at www.homebirth.org.uk - loads of useful information on there.
I would also suggest you contact AIMS www.aims.org.uk - they will definitely be on your side.

Your body isnt ready to have yuor baby yet

thatsnotmyZOMBIE · 26/10/2010 18:26

Me too, getting a bit worried. Hope she is well.

HabbiBOOOO · 26/10/2010 18:30

Well, if she did end up having a section, she'd still be in, and I doubt she'd tell her dp about this thread. She may well have been kept in after an induction as well, I guess.
