This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

im 1 pound from goal having started 2ish years ago to loose baby weight it’s been very very very slow but gone from bmi of 28 to hopefully under 22.5 at goal. I’m fasting 16 hours and calorie counting. Since summer started resistance training lost my way but found it again! Also add in some pelaton

ok day yest feeling the tummy bloat from weekend. I also had a large amount of dark choc yest. Will excercise tmrw Friday and sat this week. Weigh in sat

skip brekkie
chicken hummus salad
salmon and eggs tonight

am sure upping my excercise has really helped these last few pounds

Thank you! I’ve somehow pinged back down to 145lb which I’m pleased about. Fasting 16 hours. Would love to be under 140 by Christmas

I’ve noticed my skin is really clear and after a year of exercising I’m starting to get really defined and muscular arms and shoulders which I love! Bingo wings are almost gone!

Currently 10.1 but want to be in the 9’s which I seem to dip in and out of. Really in sabotage mode at the moment! But we keep going! Every day is new fast!
Run this morning! Fast until 6!

Not sure when I’ll weigh next, would love to do weekly seems to work well @Smartmove but I struggle not doing it daily!!

@Bubbles44 its really hard! But I was sick of the up and down every week and not knowing which weight to take as my weekly weight and it’s normal to gain after a weekend of more food even if it’s not fat I was always in a bad mood! This way I feel freerer and the not knowing makes my wed Thursday super strict as I get the fear! I am weighing on sat this week though as the weekend was pretty heavy and I think I need an extra day to either loose or STS (hope not a gain!)

Had a good day, 8 hour eating window.
had chicken wrap and watermelon at 11am
seabass, green beans and gnocchi for tea at 6.30 followed by fruit and Greek yoghurt and one piece chocolate.
Absolutely stuffed now!
also had exercise class at 6.30 this morning.

Yes I think this will definitely help my mindset weighing once a week @Smartmove I need to try it out. Also, I think I need to plan having treats on a Saturday so I can enjoy and not feel deprived and go into binge mode!
Good day yesterday. I did weigh today and it’s 10. No run as needed sleep. Busy day so should get lots of steps and no sugar!

I really need to try had next few days ow I’ll have a gain this week (possibly will regardless ) as Thursday / sat were off plan

I've been ok so far this week and went to the gym once, but have a busy day today and didn't sleep well last night so don't think I'll work out today.

I got to 9.9 before my holiday in May. So I guess that’s my new year aim. But for now around this is good. If I can drop a couple more that would be great! Just want to stop the chocolate obsession!!

Sounds like a good week all round and good choices sound tasty.

I'll have a sandwich for lunch and I'm thinking about having soup for dinner to eat light today - I need to be in the 10's tomorrow, otherwise I'll be at risk of falling off the wagon again!

Starting to think about the weekend and I'm going to limit to 2-3 drinks max over the weekend. A meal out is planned but I'll eat well around it.

Only done one workout this week. It's strange as I was in such a habit of working out 3 x per weeks and I almost didn't need to think about. I got out of the habit over half term and haven't been able to get back into the swing of it. The gym is so quiet at the moment too so I really should be taking advantage of that! I'll get there today or tomorrow and may try a short one over weekend too.

I'm rambling now but just trying to get my momentum going!!

I find with exercise you need to just put your gym clothes on then once you’ve done that you think well I might as well go now!

i dont really love it but I’ve told myself it’s just got to be done, I don’t think about it and wonder if I “want” to do it. Coz usually the answer would be “no I want to watch tv or tidy the house or be lazy”. So I just go with little planning ! I decide every Monday night which 3 sessions I’m doing and there’s no wavering . I’ve stoped relying on motivation to go, and more discipline
