@Bubbles44
@Smartmove
@Everythingaches

This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

Hope it’s been a good day for everyone? @Everythingaches how did the rest of your weekend go?

probably setting myself up to fail. But setting myself a target of 9.11 by 20th December. I like that weight and will be nice going into Christmas week like that. Might attempt the Friday only weigh in.

Good day here! Need it to continue!!

Everythingaches · 02/12/2024 17:41

Good thanks!

Smartmove · 02/12/2024 19:43

Wow what a goal @Bubbles44 ! Try it for a week I love not weighing daily. I’m so much happier not weighing.

good day today but
1300 cals not 1000 but I seem to be loosing on that as long as I excercise
off to plan meals tmrw and will do my works outs
tuesday
wed
sat and Sunday today

Smartmove · 03/12/2024 20:56

Terrible day! Go again tmrw
very hungry didn’t plan ate a lot of chocolate!

Everythingaches · 03/12/2024 21:39

So this is what’s working for me the past two weeks-
fasting until 11 or 12 then having something very protein heavy like eggs, then maybe having some fruit about 2 ish and dinner at 6.
7pm I have 200g Greek yoghurt with fruit, chia seeds and one square dark chocolate then fast again for 16 hours.
it’s a lot of Greek yoghurt and is so filling.
im in the zone but I know how hard it can be when your heads not in it.

Bubbles44 · 03/12/2024 21:57

Ahh after my plan yesterday it went wrong!! Run, fasted until 6 and then had loads of chocolate. My problem at the moment is that there is a lot of chocolate around. So a moment of weakness and I’m gone! Must be stronger!! Will have a good day tomorrow!

Everythingaches · 04/12/2024 07:24

Just don’t start on the chocolate, walk away, have a glass of water, clean your teeth. If I have one I have ten!

Smartmove · 04/12/2024 11:18

It’s hard when around
can u put it all in a box and in a less easy to access place I’ve moved mine somewhere where I have to double think if I want it! Didn’t stop me yest though

really good workout done this am legs r killing me!
yoghurt eaten
salmon salad
left over chicken curry tonight

key for me is to plan and not let myself get hungry. Not sure I’ll have lost this week! I’ll exercise on sat and Sunday next so that’s 4 sessions this week

weigh in sat this week

Smartmove · 04/12/2024 19:57

Good day after my workout
stuck to plan but extra 100 cals of almonds and milk for coffee 50 cals

Suspect my extra cals this week will mean I sTS but I’m ok with that!

Everythingaches · 05/12/2024 07:44

Work Xmas meal last night, huge roast and cheesecake but I’ve maintained at 143lb.
quite a few Xmas meals coming up now!

hollyblueivy · 05/12/2024 07:51

It's been an ok week, been to the gym twice and had chocolate a couple of times. Mostly stuck to lunch and dinner but some dinners bigger or more carby than I probably should have.

Hope to get to gym 1-2 times before the end of the weekend. Will try not to drink Friday or Saturday and just have a couple with dinner on Sunday.

Expecting to still be in the 10's but not sure if there will be much of a loss.

Smartmove · 05/12/2024 08:45

Well done @Everythingaches your chipping away well at those pounds
@hollyblueivy good luck tmrw sounds like a balanced week!

I have my work meeting today so will be infront of door non stop 2-5! I have packed myself an apple and some peppers but wish me luck!!! About to tuck into my yoghurt and berries now

legs hurting from yest
be happy to maintain this week , can’t imagine I’ve had a loss due to my choc eating episode on Tuesday and also weekend was off plan with meals etc .

Bubbles44 · 05/12/2024 17:30

All good here after my blip on Tuesday. Not sure when I’ll weigh yet! Not too much on this weekend. Lunch out on Sunday! Need to reign in on the choc to get down to 9.11!

Smartmove · 05/12/2024 18:15

Good day here
I managed the meeting by munching on about 300g of iceberg lettuce! I prob went a bit over calories as I did have half a sandwhich and then dinner when I got in. But it’s not hugely over

need a good day tmrw then fingers crossed for a loss/maintain on sat

Smartmove · 05/12/2024 18:16

Have a dinner out on sat and Sunday! I hope this is not the start of a rise!!!!

Everythingaches · 05/12/2024 18:52

Well done everyone, it’s December and we are still on it!

Smartmove · 05/12/2024 19:51

Just realise I’m approaching ovulation and I never loose this week. I’m also feeling like I may have gained. Think I’m letting too many bits pass my mouth! Stressing for sat weigh in now!

hollyblueivy · 06/12/2024 07:31

@Everythingaches I completely agree that we should congratulate ourselves for continuing to try when we're at the end of the first week in December! Go us, I hope it continues as we get closer as I can do a lot of damage in a short space of time!

@Smartmove Don't stress too much about your weigh in. Part of maintaining will be accepting that you cannot maintain a precise weight week in week out and you'll have to allow for minor variations.

10:13:7 for me. Happy that I'm still in the 10's but slightly miffed it's only a maintain and not even the smallest of losses. I think I'll check in a bit more next week, plan my meals and be more mindful of the treats.

Onto the next week we go!

OP posts:
Smartmove · 06/12/2024 14:10

Well done for clinging on @hollyblueivy
it’s hard to maintain!

good day so far
puriton shake
hummous veg

not sure about dinner yet been a busy day. No work out but will do on sat and Sunday

weigh in tmrw

Everythingaches · 06/12/2024 14:11

Been feeling a bit yuk today, had crumpets then chicken wrap for lunch. Feel bit sick like little kid stomach ache!

Smartmove · 06/12/2024 19:27

Really interested to see what tmrw says
im on 1600 for last week (due to weekend and toblerone eating on Tuesday). And 3 work outs done since then

this should call for a maintain / tiny loss but I’m feeling like a gain.

update tmrw - really hope it’s not a gain!
tmrw I have dinner out but storm locally may scupper that
then Sunday a huge roast planned
but will do 2 long work outs!

Bubbles44 · 07/12/2024 06:39

Well done for maintaining @hollyblueivy definitely an achievement in December!
Good luck with weighing in @Smartmove hope it’s a little loss/maintain.
Ive not weighed for a few days. Not sure why/when. need a good day. Going out now to attempt a long run. Weather not too crazy at the mo.
Good luck today everyone!

Smartmove · 07/12/2024 07:34

Well sadly it’s a gain!!! 10.0.8
am annoyed! I am ovulating so I do tend to struggle this week I know

but I have prob also relaxed a bit knowing that I was doing well! So back to it! I do have stuff on today and tmrw sadly which will make it hard but

harder workouts and behave in day.

may do a mid week weigh too. I’d can’t gain 0.5 a pound every week I’ll be back where I was!

Smartmove · 07/12/2024 09:20

My Renpho scale is saying my muscle mass has gone up this week a bit
dunno how accurate it is but I am def seeing more tone in my legs which is good!
