This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

Hope you managed to get your run in @Bubbles44 - how far are your long runs? You must clock up some mileage over the month!

@Smartmove that's a tiny gain, nothing that can't be recovered from during the week. I think it takes a while to settle to get a good balance of how much you can loosen up to maintain steadily, but it will fluctuate slightly.

I think I'm having an ok weekend. Had half a bottle of wine but won't have any today now. Food has been bread heavy but nothing too mad. Big roast today and may even hit the gym.

Have a couple of socials next weekend so hoping that will spur me on to have a good week.

Was good yest till dinner!
work out - injured my arm so can’t do weights today. Will just ride pelaton
eggs and avacado
then had pasta and shared a pudding. Cocktail and half a bottle of processo consumed!

today my roast been cancelled with friends so hoping to do a few 1000 days to just try get me below 10 stone

@hollyblueivy you are right even just more food will weigh more and I should expect the odd pound or 2 up and down.

next social next Friday night so weigh in then and would love to just under 10

Mixed few days here! Some good and some bad moments. Not weighed in a few days!
well done, sounds like a good weekend has been had! Amazing for this time of the year!
starting to think about no sugar in January. Really think it’s the way forward for me!
@hollyblueivy my longest runs tend to be 10K. Are you missing running at the mo?

10k is a good distance. I'm doing a bit of running in the gym but it can be tedious so rarely make it to 5k, more like 3-4k as part of my overall workout.

I went to the gym today for a quick 45m cardio session. Had a lovely big roast and managed to stay away from the alcohol. Half a bottle of wine all weekend is good for me especially in December.

Ready to have a good week, will try gym Monday-Thursday as won't get a chance on the weekend. Even if it's just a half hour session.

Haven't really thought about January yet. Maybe I'll try to calorie count during that month to get a sense of how much I'm consuming as I don't usually count.

Won't be doing dry January or no sugar. That's too much!

Yesterday went well, lunch and dinner with a healthy pudding and a cardio gym session. Water intake better than recently too.

Plan today is soup for lunch with small amount of bread. Not sure for dinner yet, want to eat light but depends how hungry I am. Will do strength at the gym.

How are you planning to tackle Christmas? Will you take a week off, a couple of days or choose certain times to allow extra treats?

I’m a bit worried about Xmas! I’m planning on doing 4 -5 gym sessions that week as I’m at families and they have weights handy so I can keep that up. And hopefully lots of walks.

i think I’ll just have to enjoy my dinner/lunch we have a lot of family meals etc planned. But not go into F it mode will keep checking on here and I’ll try weigh myself every other day maybe? To keep me in line!!!!

im back from family in 29th so I can get back on it on that day! Totally expecting a gain but must let it spiral. I can’t eat like this over Xmas or long term.

today will be steps but no workout. Legs r killing me - the Caroline girvan videos really work you . I can see some definition in my legs now after 2 months of doing it.

Yes Christmas scares me! Will aim for lots of runs and walks. Will try and get a couple of long fasts. Try and enjoy but not go crazy! I do like a January reset with lots of good intentions. Although last January was hard as it didn’t come off as fast as I wanted it to!

1300 cals again which I seem to do ok and hopefully end on 10000 steps . Had 200 cals of choc in that allowance! I’m not able to stay away completely!!!

All ok here. Good day. Will run again in the morning. Really considering joining the gym in new year. Need to do more strength work!
Not weighed in a while. Not sure when I will. Quite nice not doing it! Maybe I’ll join the Friday club!

Well done us, so far so good.

Good meals, snacked on banana and satsumas and got a 40 minute strength session in.

Plan to eat light again tomorrow if I can and gym will be cardio / run.

Should be another 1300 cals day and workout.
I did a 21 hour fast yesterday due to a large lunch. Tummy flatter this am! Should do it more often
fingers crossed for my last drop before I enter maintence!

great @Smartmove you sound so in the zone. Are you hoping to see a 9 on Friday?

I’ve just eaten a huge plate of pasta after my dinner! Think my fasted workout exhausted me must not do that again! Now I’ll prob have a gain on Friday coz excess carbs! Tmrw needs to be on on plan and low carbs!!! Aghhhh!!!!!!

Food has been ok today but also a bit carb heavy.

No time for any movement today.

Will try to eat well tomorrow but sometimes start to flag by Thursday. Will be as good as I can be. Probably just do a walk rather than gym tomorrow.

Two weeks today until Christmas.

Hi girls
good day. 20 min intense workout
1200 cals once dinner eaten

looked in mirror today and think I’m ready to stop and maintain. Def have wobbly bits! And not “skinny” but I’m pleased and also not after perfection. Clothes fit. I’m toned after 2 months of strength training my bmi is around 22 and I’m feeling like I’m very scared to maintain this!
