This is the new thread to discuss us using fasting to get to our goal weight. Believe it or not but this is the third thread with the first from around 18 months ago!

No I am not at goal yet. I dare not look at what I weighed then as there is a good chance I'm about the same weight now having recently put back on!

Anyway. Now is the time to keep going. To allow for a bit on over Christmas and get a head start for the New Year. 2025 I WILL get to goal!

Anyone else is wearing to join.

My starting weight was probably 12:9 at heaviest. I'm just over 11 stone now and my goal is around 10:3.

Let's go!

my tummy is still feeling big post the pizza and wine
im going for dinner and drinks on wed
and drinks on Thursday!
would love to have maintained this week but aware I may not. Work out yest
wed and Thursday and Sunday this week to help couunteract!

@hollyblueivy I know it's hard. Hopefully you'll get a good couple of days in before the weekend. Are you daily weighing now?
How's it's with you @Everythingaches ?
@Smartmove hopefully you'll get a maintain. Working out and low calorie days you could be ok!

@Smartmove 1100 is great, you're right that this is the hardest time of year for you to go into maintenance but even if you do gain, it won't take you long to get back to your happy bubble and hopefully you can spend the early part of the year getting your head around how best to properly maintain.

@Bubbles44 Big well done on run and fasting!! Are the mornings dark and cold?! You get extra points for that!

I'm going easy on myself from now until the new year. I've heard myself say f it it's Christmas a few time already and somehow I'm having an early week glass of wine, don't judge!

I'll daily weigh for the time being as I still like to know where I am even if it isn't what I want to see.

I may try to do a gym session tomorrow and that might help me have a slightly better day.

I'm going to take each day as it comes.

Plan today

Coffee x3
Water x3
Lunch - soup and bread
Dinner - something light like mackerel on toast or egg on toast
Snacks - try to avoid but if needed Greek yogurt or fruit
Gym - one hour workout mix weights / cardio

Aiming for a good day today.

I’m on about 1700 cals today as went out had 3 drinks and dinner
i did a work out…

im basically about to gain and will have to restart in new year! So annoyed I met goal just as Xmas started

plan tmrw is to do mega work out!

@Smartmove 1700 is really low still. Especially for going out. You never know you might be ok.
I was so tempted by chocolate all night last night. Resisted. Will weigh tomorrow. Have some treats tomorrow evening. Try and rein it in a little and weigh next then on Christmas Eve.
@hollyblueivy you sticking to the daily weighing? Are you finding it's helping?

@Bubbles44 Yes at the moment I am weighing daily as I need to keep track and make sure things don't get too out of control. Although it's Friday tomorrow, last weekend before Christmas and then Christmas week next week so I fear that bridge is about to be crossed!

11:2:3 today - same as yesterday. did manage the gym though and that puts my head in a much better place. I'll still try to workout over Christmas even if I'm full to the brim with mince pies.

I came home and had some toast so 1900 !
my maintence is 1560 with no excercise according to the calculators online and 1700 with 3 work outs. I’ve also had a LOT to drink this week which isn’t like me. So will be bloated. Fully expecting a gain on sat am. Then my Xmas begins. I may weigh daily at my families to keep me in check !!!

obviously I’m starving right now post drinking gonna push till 930 then do a mega 1 hour work out as I’m kids free today xx

if I only have 1 large glass tonight at the pub. Tmrw keep cals at 900 only I end the week on 1700 of which about 1600 is wine !!!! I’ve been on 1500 average which has let me loose weight the last 2 months

good luck tmrw @Bubbles44 well done resisting the chocs - I’m struggling to resist drinking atm which is not like me!

Good day. Not as much movement as I'd like as didn't manage a run! Nervous for tomorrow. We'll see.
Will probably have some chocolate tomorrow and then try and be sensible over the weekend!

Yes you have absolutely smashed this final part of the year @Smartmove you should be so proud.

My day has been ok, did 5k on the treadmill and was actually ok. I ran 1km then walked 1 minute on repeat to 5k and broke the run up quite nicely.

It's the little bits of chocolate and sweet treats that get consumed though the day without much thought. I'll carry on weighing anyway.

9.12 I did feel slightly disappointed as a good week and an ok weekend. But really happy. Feel good and have resisted sugar all week and feel lighter. Next weigh in Christmas Eve I think. Should probably keep off the sugar as I’m not craving as much now! But realistically probably won’t.
Run done, last day of any kind of routine!

I was 11:1:6 this morning. I may weigh tomorrow but if not then I'll weigh again on Christmas Eve ans have a few days off. I don't think I'll get to the gym now until the day after Boxing Day so will try to get out for some walks and keep my steps up.

10 st 3 today amazing after all the chocolate I’ve had!
did some proper serious weight lifting this week, loving the definition in my arms and shoulders after a year of properly exercising!

That's a really good week @hollyblueivy down a couple of pounds which is great. How is your weekend looking?

I do like the saying 'it's not about what you eat between Christmas and new year, it's about what you eat between new year and Christmas' I think I'll definitely relax a little. But not for the full 2 weeks! Throw some long fasts in. Lots of walks and runs.

Morning all

seriously regretting my choices yest! Had a fab night but an entire bottle of wine was consumed - so ended up on 1600 cals and I did a workout but the alcohol I’ve consumed this week is just ridicolous! Given I usually drink once a fortnight I’ve drunk most days! So I know the scales will be up tmrw even if it’s just from bloat

in craving carbs today and hungover. Agh!!!! But I’m going to attempt keep the carbs as low as I can

@Bubbles44 thats fab - u feel good at 9.12 well done for getting back to that with Xmas week so close
@hollyblueivy fab for dropping those extra pounds this week. Have u got a hectic weekend planned

Will be ending the week on 1700 and high carbs
thats the most I’ve eaten in a good few weeks. I think if it was 1700 cals of decent food it would be fine but it’s a lot of wine calories so I’m certain I’ll be up tmrw

and then my Xmas begins for the week as I’m visiting family. Wasaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!

today carbs calling my name and I’ve had a mini Colin caterpillar and a lot of Tony chocolate

Enjoy it @Smartmove if it's a slight gain it's just Christmas. It's going to get us all.
Just try and be good when you can. I've had a totally relaxed day. Lots of chocolate. Don't feel guilty. Will be back on it tomorrow! Hoping tomorrow, Sunday and Monday will be good and then weigh in Tuesday. It's definitely a downhill battle!!!
