I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

day 1
weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

Morning @Smartmove can I join you? I lost a lot doing the blood sugar diet a few years back, and I’m planning to do a strict (almost) 3 weeks from tomorrow until I go away for whitsun holidays. I’ve lost just over a stone this year but it’s painfully slow for me…. Half pound losses and long plateaus with just calorie counting, so I’m switching to more of a Mediterranean/low carb/high protein approach for the next few weeks.

Please join me! I’m on holiday in 2 weeks and if I can get back to 11.1 in a few days (given it’s water weight) and then be 10.12 when I leave I would be thrilled. Which is actually only 3 pounds in about 10 days (estimating 4 days to get back to 11.1 and then ten to drop 3 pounds)
And then can come back to lose final bit . mayb it’s too ambitious !

the feta chicken is from the keto fast 800 book it’s tasty! And easy! It’s a bit much cheese today on reflection….

You’ll definitely get good results if you do 800 cals, for sure. I try but I just cannot get that low these days. I tend to aim for about 1300, but my plan this week is to really keep the carbs super low, like under 50g. I’m on holiday in 3 weeks with skinny people, originally my goal this year was 23lbs in 23 weeks but I don’t think I’ll get there, but even if I can get to 18lbs by then I’ll be happy, that’s another pound a week til we go away. I’m at the nice stage now where I am starting to actually notice my weight loss, so I’m feeling really motivated. I have a friend coming tonight for wine and tapas, then will be starting properly tomorrow.

what other things do you have on the menu? I don’t have the fast800 keto recipes but I do have the actual book, I will try to dig it out.

Hi, I have exactly the same weight to lose as you. I started 16:8 a week ago. This week I lost 4lb but I know that will slow down massively. I am also cal counting on My Fitness Pal. Honestly it was no wonder the pounds were creeping on.

@thenewaveragebear1983 a pound a week is so doable! U will df manage that (if u stick to plan’s . I also struggled to get to 800 cals and was doing 1000 for a long time but the loss was just so slow when I do 800 it seems to kick start it for me but it’s though not gonna lie. But after 4/5 days I find my hunger just does… I think the key is whatever motivates u and lets u stick to it….

so I love a feta salad I eat a lot of eggs in various ways. I’m going to make a green marinade this week with chilli garlic ginger yoghurt and coriander blitzed up and it’s great on cod and chicken and yummy. And I’ve also bought some scallops to have with chorizo stir fried

I have 2 kids below age 5 so for me it’s about quick meals. I often just adjust their meals and they too young to notice mummy on a diet for now but want the weight gone so can eat more with them as they grow up. Eg making them pasta for lunch but I’m having soup!

That was my hunger dies…but then I go off plan due to social events and then struggle to go back on. I just need to be consistent!

I resisted the temptation and weighed in after a week. Wow that sounds amazing. I have managed to keep cals to 1000 or below until I have a G & T last night. I haven't really been hungry this week which has helped massively. I have cooked a few gousto recipes which are also on MFP app which has been a huge help. Let's see how this week goes

Same boat here...did really well before on 5:2 and hput half back on. Almost exact place as OP. 50th in 3 weeks and hol with my pals in 7...would love to drop to 10.12 for that. ..

@Smartmove that green marinade sounds delicious. It’s one thing I’m not good at, dressings and marinades, but when ever I try them I love them. I’m going to try yours! Scallops and chorizo also sounds lush. I Love seafood but prefer scallops as they aren’t fiddly to eat.

My family want to go out for dinner it’s sunny I’ve looked at menu thinking chicken tandoori and brocolli side can’t be more than 500 cals which brings me into 800 today
must not have wine!!!!!

So I had the chicken and broccoli but also 1 glass of Prosecco and a few bits of naan. I think prob 1000 cals. Maybe more

Sounda lovely, well done in the 1 glass We have grazed on picky things today so I have decided not to calorie count but stick to my fasting hours. Tomorrow is another day

Today plan. Brocolli soup with a spoon of flaxseed in. Followed by the chicken feta dish again and salad with avacado. Be 800 today - not 1000 plus the small bit of my husband wine he was drinking last night 🙈

Morning! Had a fair bit to drink last night and a truly terrible nights sleep, my Garmin sleep graph is horrific this morning, I lay awake tossing and turning and feeling wide awake all night. My food was ok… tapas bits and a few Doritos and other snacky nibbles but nothing too horrendous.

super strict ass kicking low carb starts today!

i got hungry and had some almonds hence extra cals. But I’m please with that! My weight is usually nice and decent passed loss if I can get it closer to 850/900 . Will try tmrw

I started IF 16:8 a week ago. I lost 3lbs this week but I’d gained 3lbs over the previous bank holiday weekend so just put me back to where I started!!

I generally aim to not eat after 7pm and then break my fast around 11am - sometimes I’ve managed slightly longer. As im usually at work when I break my fast I tend to just have soem
yoghurt and then eat lunch as usual and the. Have my evening meal.

I do still calorie count and try and eat more
protein, veg and fruit and limit carbs and processed foods.

I think this way of eating has encouraged me to drink more water and snack less.

we have a holiday at Whitsun so I’d like to lose a few lbs before then. Not sure I will be able to completely follow this whilst away.

I have just kept faffing around and gaining and gaining, I have a wedding in a couple of weeks, and I don't want to cry at the photos, I know I can't lose even half the weight I need, but a few lbs would make me feel better and less bloated?

I'm doing a sort of slimmest thing, and cutting back on alcohol which is my real problem!

Even 4lbs between now and 27th would be a bonus.

Today:
B: Slimfast Porridge
L: Slimfast shake + boiled egg
D: Chicken, with greens and a couple of baby potatoes

I WILL NOT NAIL WINE.
