I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

day 1
weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

can see it slowing down but I’m still so pleased esp I as I had a 9pm 500 calorie ingestion! Full of carbs. Am a bit confused tbh! Anyways let’s get to 10.13 for tmrw

given up finding a bikini or Takini which suits me! Think I’m gonna have to do some serious toning to try get rid of this mum tum I have. I’ve still a good amount of weight to loose but don’t think this will ever go! I really don’t want to gain half a stone on holiday after all this effort. Also obv want to enjoy myself! Hoping if I fill up with good food and stay away from sugar damage may be less! We stopping at services on the drive I’m going to take a salad no need to eat crap sandwhich!so hopefully that will start the trip on the right food

I’ve weighed today and not lost a single pound.
Think I’ll just write off this weeks and have a bottle of wine tonight and start again Monday.

I seem to think I’m already on my holiday and eating normally today including some biscuits. But otherwise have had healthy food. Of yoghurt berries. Shared a chicken casserole and veg with DD and lentil Bolognese but I only had a tablespoon of pasta. And nuts. And a few bites of my son brownies. I didn’t calorie count but def 20000ish and a lot of carbs.
ill be back post holiday with a gain ready to drop some more pounds!
@FijiSea dont worry. First week often about getting head in gear and getting the right foods in and realising what what works for you. Then u can start the loss!

Yes I haven’t put any weight on but seems like I’ve been stuck at ten stone forever now.
Fresh start next week , I’m not down about it at all.

Right so I found some scales
saying I’ve put on 7 pounds!!!!! Wtf! I mean I have been pretty wild. Gonna cut back today on the carbs and not drinking coz tho k my lice actually hurts! Will report back on my own scales when back . Ahh!

Unfortunately when you slash the carbs and then have a bit of a carb fest, you get very high ‘swings’ between high and low weight. When you are glycogen depleted you also relinquish a lot of water as each molecule of glycogen requires twice it’s weight in water, but of course the converse is true: when you replenish the glycogen stored in your muscles, you Also replenish that water weight, hence the crazy 7lb overnight gain. Of course, there’s a bit of variance from different scales.
I’d probably say not to weigh on holiday, just enjoy yourself and deal with the aftermath when you get home!

Right in back in 2 days and ready to start loosing holiday bloat - am consumed an awfully lot of cals. Hoping I’ll be back to where I was in a week? And then start part 2 of getting to 10.8 which is goal. I have to do this!

I’m still at ten stone 😆 I’ve been hiking , cut carbs honestly think I’m destined to look like a fat obese small person 😬
I should be 9’4 I’d say to look slim , but I’m finding it impossible to drop any weight
ive hovered around the ten stone for shed and I hate it 😢

@FijiSea im sorry. Everyone has a set point I do too. It’s about 11.2 and it’s so though to move and requires so much effort and weighing eveything in prob half a stone or more heavier after my week away. Dreading the weigh!

I’m back and ready to face music. I did go wild. Huge brekkies . Lots of cakes and ice creams. Loads of wine. Skipped lunch. Then huge 3 course dinners.

so result is

day 1 restart 11.5.6
left at 10.13.6

utterly depressing!!!! I’m hoping it’s off super quickly given it’s gone on in one week. Am downing my water as we speak and hoping for a huge loss overnight!

Ended on 900 cals. Not looking at carbs until next week. I must have had 600g a day on holiday so any reduction is a winner atm!

Ended on 900 today. Not counting carbs yet will start limiting those from Monday. Feeling a bit pooped I’ve been on this sort of weight for 6 months and keep going up and down
