I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

day 1
weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

Thanks @Smartmove - I always think people who do fast 800 are so strong, I'm already at the 'oh well, I could just have some fish fingers for lunch' time of day 🙄But I won't. I can smash this.

I find it harder when I'm cold, so I'm considering warming up one of my shakes 😂

I’m not strong! I love food and I’ve been trying to get to goal for 6 months !! I do find that the food u eat during fast 800 keeps you full and so you want less of the other stuff. But I have a sweet tooth which derails me! And I love a wine in the sun!

anyways onwards and downwards.
have some water when u want to eat or a nice herbal tea and remind urself u can do it!

I’m closing the kitchen on 1100, 72g carbs- not bad actually considering it is Tuesday and that’s my terrible day usually. I must admit at 4pm when there were donuts in the staff room I was quite tempted but I did resist and I’m glad I did. I will probably have a sugar free hot choc later though. My food has been simple today just salad and meat x 2 meals. I went to the gym for a class at 6am and I will pop out for a walk once dh gets home just to clear my head, I have terrible brain fog today.

Can I join too? I lost quite a lot of weight using 5:2 & ADF about 5 years ago. I’ve been slipping recently & have exceeded my maximum acceptable weight & need to take action before I gain anymore. I’m 5 ft 2, 48 and menopausal … losing weight is really hard!

On Saturday I was 56.2kg, I want to be 54kg.

I had a really terrible bank holiday weekend 😫 so a stay the same this week would be a victory. Just finished today (lentils & mackerel for dinner) on 789. Feeling freezing & knackered.

hopefully back at 11.1 tmrw which is where I was last Wednesday before I went on a few days majorly off plan!

then I think loosing 2-3 achievable in ten days before I leave on holiday next Sunday. With aim to not gain too much there and get back and get to goal!

@subsxribed its all water weight I was 11.1 seven days ago but then went on piste and put on 5 pounds in 4 days (aghhh!) it’s going to slow down once I hit 11.1

I do normally do a mid week weigh in on a Wednesday, and Also Saturday morning but I forgot today and now I’ve drunk water and coffee so I’ll leave it til tomorrow. Not sure where I’ll be weight wise to be honest, I fluctuate wildly and I don’t feel especially skinny today! But maybe after a good day low carbing I will feel a bit better.
I slept so well last night, I bought some expensive earplugs and they really helped, I really struggle with noises in the night waking me up. I did get up early for the gym at 5.45 but tonight I will hopefully have another decent night and not need to be up so early, so win/win.

i’n already feeling hungry and I think my plan to not eat til lunch may be a little ambitious, even though I know it’s the best way for me to limit cravings And also to keep my overall calories down.

@thenewaveragebear1983 with exercise I think waiting till lunch is though! I know I can’t do less than 1000 when I excercise. That’s going to get added onto my loose weight get fit plan in a few weeks. I just want to get a bit closer to goal before I start excercising as I find it makes me hungry and I stay same weight (though it’s so good for you and really I’m just being lazy).

im in my 2nd week of intermittent fasting and following the 16:8. I lost 3lbs the first week but had gained 3lbs over the previous BH weekend before starting. Trying to just weigh in once a week on a Friday but I’m hoping to be down 2lbs this week.
im 49, peri menopausal and it’s bloody hard work.

I get frustrated with the whole BMI thing as it doesn’t take into account muscle mass/frame.

im 5ft 2 but have never been tiny. My lowest weight I can remember was just over 8st probably in my late teens. Currently sitting at 9st 13 which puts me in the “overweight” category but I exercise 4-5 times a week and weight-lift so never going to be at the lighter weights recommended for my height.

Aiming for 9st target weight. 9st 6 will put me at a normal BMI. I go away in 3 weeks so hoping to lose a few lbs before then.

hope everyone is feeling motivated

@RM2013 agree with you about bmi. It’s just a very crude measure. You’re prob healthier than me given your exercise tbh despite being in overweight and me just creeping into normal.
it’s very hard I’m 40 and finding it much harder than previous years so imagine peri is so much tougher.
my lowest weight was 10.3 when I got married can never see myself back there! So aiming for 10.8 but may drop further if I ever ever get there!

Absolutely starving today!!!! Ended at 1000 cans 45g carbs due to a slice of sourdough I couldn’t resist. Not sure if I’ll be 11.1 tmrw due to higher carbs but it’s still pretty good going. Attempt to be 850 tmrw!

Can I join too? I started 16/8 sort of semi crossed with a rough fast 800 yesterday.

I did ok on the times yesterday and came in at about 900 calories. Same today.

Haven't drunk nearly enough water however.
Im a dog walker so I walk up to 3 hours a day 5 days a week and an hour at least at weekends. Don't think I've got the energy to do any more exercise on top. But in my case exercise nearly always make little odds to my weight. It's all in the fridge!
I weight about 11.5 stone and would like ideally to be back to between 9.5 and 10
As that's the weight and size I feel best at. I've gone from being a 10 to a 14 in just under 3 years and I hate it!

I did 16/8 fast 800 3 years ago and lost loads of weight. Bit worried my age will slow me down this time as I'm definitely peri.

blane sourdough and the mini milk I had which took me to 1070 last night. Was starving yest. Need to pull my finger out to get back to 11.1 where I was last week. It gets though now as this is the weight my body gets to and then I give up. Not this time.

heck sausages brekkie
prawns green beans lunch
dinner is scallops and chorizo with spinach on side
will be 800 and 17g carbs and hopefully a drop!

I’ve still not got my head in the game, the last two days I’ve been very pre-menstrual and craving just sugar, carbs, stodge…. Last night I had the horrific night sweats as well although actually I feel quite well rested today despite that.

this morning I am on a virtual excel course which will be intensely dull and my plan is not to eat until after that is done. Then go for a walk to clear my head. Lunch will be salad and chicken (I roasted a chicken yesterday purely for grazing meat so there is always something low carb available) and then dinner will be calamari and veg, another salad basically. With some lemon and garlic mayo 😋

I know all the rules, my food plan is always excellent- I just find it very hard to only eat the plan. I could do with going shopping as there isn’t much in the way of “interesting” things left by this stage of the week but I’m trying to drag it out to get everything used up. I was tempted by the opening gousto/ hello fresh type offers as a change for next week but when I looked at the websites, they do not cater for a low carb diet at all do they? Lots of rice, potato and pasta - I guess that’s how they keep the cost down but it wouldn’t work for me. So I will have to do my menu the old fashioned way!

I think I just need to not be a knob. I’ve not put a new bottle in the fridge, and we’ve run out of red, so I might have a gin, but k can make that fairly weak and still be happy!

Well done @smartmove I am struggling this week I feel so hungry and crazy sugar. None of my planned meals seem appetizing at all so will look through some of your menus and plan for a better week next week. Oh I miss those pre menopause days when I could just think the pounds of. Certainly not the case any more. Good luck everyone today

@Bubblepanda ive been trying to loose this weight for ages and failing. I don’t know if I’ll make it to goal but I’m sick of yo-yo dieting and aware I’m 40 next year and it will start slowing down.

my fav meals are
brocolli and Stilton soup

chicken tagine from fast 800
never made my scallop dish but will report back!
I love sugar and I’m premenstural and am hungry again already!!!! I ate at 9….downing the water and hoping to make it to 12!
