I’ve done this before during lockdown and got down to a decent weight but slowly gone back up. I keep starting and then doing well and then self sabtogage and gain it all. It’s such a problem. So I’m taking it 1 week at a time. And writing on here to keep me on straight and narrow

day 1
weight 11.6 . Bmi 25.5
goal weight 10.8

this is post 4 days of self sabotage so should come off very quickly I was 11.1 4 days ago so should be water. And then will start slowing down

today plan
brocolli and Stilton soup at 11ish
feta stuffed chicken with a side salad of leaves and avacado at 4ish

I can do this. I usually eat 3 small meals but I ate so much last night I’m not hungry!

Ended on 926 and 26g carbs
chorizo scallop thing was possibly easiest thing I’ve made took me 5 mins and was so delicious! I didn’t even use any flavourings or extra oil etc. def one to add to my list!
must not nibble now as I am feeling a bit hormonal but I should have a drop tmrw if I zip it!!!!!!!!!

I've gone way over the calories today. Probably 1100 but I've stick to the times and have eaten mainly protein and veg, (did have a few new potatoes and 2 of DD's lentil crisps). And I've walked 3 hours today with the doggies so hoping I will still be on track for a bit of weight loss.

so close to the tens!!! But who knows how long to get there! This is now the lowest weight I’ve been in about 2 years (baby in that time too) . I was 11.10 about 3 years ago but never lower than that apart from 10 years ago!
right focus today love to be 11 tmrw but prob way too hopeful. It’s sunny on sat and I know I’m going to want a wine

Absolute fail today! Am ending on 1130 and 100g carbs
def gain tmrw know it’s water weight but will piss me off! And tmrw I wanted wine! I don’t feel like it today!

1130 is still a low calorie intake though so take that as a win, could be a lot worse.

Totally agree 1130 is good going. But it’s about 2000 now as I opened up the wine and had some other crap I shouldn’t have. Tmrw I’ll just have to not have the wine and just have a day off plan today instead of tmrw. I start doing this around this weight which is why I never drop much lower. But I’m not happy at this weight

so tmrw I’m back on it

@subsxribed im doing fast 800 and in that it’s about good carbs and daily low carbs(less than 50ish) so I failed in that department though calories not too far off

Nice one @Smartmove . Are you using happy scale or similar app? What’s your ‘average’ for the week, you must have lost 3-4lbs this week which is great going.
not sure I could close up the kitchen at 4.50 on a sunny Saturday, that’s very disciplined.

I have had a weird breakfast of half a steak (I traded half my dinner last night for wine), a protein yoghurt with blueberries, and for lunch I had 9 good guys crackers and 30g Philadelphia and some carrot sticks. (A 100 cal lunch! 😇). I’ve got some seasoned chipotle and lime chicken and salad for dinner.

Annoyingly, dh bought a bottle of wine for me when he went to the shop, it’s thoughtful I guess but it’s annoying because it’s a lot harder to resist it when it’s actually in the house. I could probably have a glass or two within my cals but I had bought already a small chocolate treat and I won’t manage to fit both in.

@thenewaveragebear1983 no I just log it on my Renpho scale. First week is always quickest with the water then starts stalling
hubby put Prosecco in the fridge can hear it calling my name :(
I had a couple of gins yest so I promised myself I wouldn’t drink until holiday in a week ….but it’s going to be though

my body clock has adjusted to my kids so I eat 445 close and 9ish open

@thenewaveragebear1983 let’s both not drink! Our flat tummy’s will thank us! Keep telling myself when u drink or eat sugar u don’t achieve anything well for my anyway I still want more and more and more and I’m not satisfied and then the same happens again the day after

wtf???? I was so good yest and I turned down the alcohol and I stuck to cals. Depressing :(
but period arrived today. Maybe explains it though I’ve never noticed a rise before when period. It was hot too maybe I have some extra fluid retention. Anyways today I’ll stick to plan. I never get to below 11!!!!

@Smartmove yeah I get that too. I naturally settle here at around 11.1-11.5 and budging anything else takes some serious work. But that’s because our bodies are weird are highly sophisticated machines designed for survival. weight loss is so much more than a simple equation of in vs out and the weight we see on the scales isn’t fat, it’s water, swelling, inflammation, gut biome, muscle, tendon…. Personally I can’t manage on 800 calories a day, my body/mind just fights me every minute of the day. I suppose it’s about listening to your body and working with it not against it. have you read the book ‘why we eat too much?’ - it’s a very interesting read. You have to change your body’s set point and that can only happen gradually. Your body will always fight to return you to your set point (which is hormonally controlled) and gradually that set point reduces. It’s an interesting theory and a very readable book if you like that sort of thing. And it fits with Mediterranean diet/fasting diet type eating plans as well.

anyways I shall continue and accept it slowing down now. I also can’t do 800 but can manage 850-900 occasionally but find 950 doable.

lunch edame salad and a few prawns on side
dinner cod in my green pâté and green beans

kitchen closed. Not sure where though. We had a picnic and I couldn’t help pick at the kids icecream and also some scone and 3 crisps. I did have my salad though. And my cod and green beans. I’m estimating 950 and 50g carbs could be more could be less.

Feeling seriously disheartened.

officially weighing and logging my weight weekly so last week was a 1lb loss.

been pretty good over the weekend apart from
some mini cheddar biscuits and a small amount of chocolate later than I should have eaten last night (but still well within my calorie goal) and I’ve gained a lb back this morning.

so I ate cake at work as it’s someone’s birthday and I was weak 😥

try keep at it. Sometimes u plateau and go up and down and suddenly it drops off . Are u weighing everything so u know ur cals? And drinking lots of water ?
this is all good for our health keep going I know it’s so rubbish.
