I would find it hard to do this on mat leave @Addidas, I spent both of my mat leaves in cafes with my mates. It probably explains a lot about why I'm overweight now though! I was breastfeeding so got away with it to begin with.
I'm doing low carb and agree it takes care of most of the hunger but the 8 hour window for eating is a killer. I'm starving all morning. As I said I committed to three weeks but I think I'm going to up to 1,000 calories and introduce yogurt, berries and possibly a handful of hazelnuts for breakfast at the end of the three week window.
The morning hunger just isn't getting any better. 16 hours without eating is a long time. I'm often hungry in the evening too but that is just my brain trying to tell me I need to sit and eat crisps!! I can deal with that.
I think there is a lot of science behind the fast window but I'm not diabetic and my BMI is in the overweight category so introducing breakfast feels sensible.
