Rough day! Started fine but attended a funeral and it went wrong at lunch time. Brown buffet food 😱 Dinner tonight was a ready meal. Back on the wagon tomorrow.

@clare8allthepies that's exactly how it works 😁 Fewer carbs = less hunger.

It has just happened to me today where I have lost my appetite and I actually haven't managed to eat dinner as I just couldn't face it. I was busy all afternoon, and it's now going in the fridge to have another day as I just wasn't hungry 🤷🏻‍♀️

But if I eat more carbs, BAM. I get hungry 😆

On this way of eating, I am normally in a happy balance where I am hungry enough to eat twice a day, but not starving hungry.

I'd better have a loss in the morning after not eating dinner 😁

I’ve somehow put on 2 pounds overnight despite doing 900 cals???? I’ve not been to the loo (tmi) for a few days but still????? So upset!!!!

Addidas don't let it throw you off. Calorie deficit works. Your body is a system - sometimes it works more slowly and the results will emerge later.

@FairyCakeSprinkles keep going it will work! I’m famous for waking off wagon esp when I get into healthy bmi but I’m not going to this time!!! I’m so annoyed about this gain hoping it’s some weird fluid retention delay due to the cake?! And it’s gone plus more tmrw :(

@clare8allthepies i find I’m less hungry on this diet but I can’t manage less than 900. I just can’t! Doesn’t help I’m on mat leave and home al day sleep deprived and want to graze!! Excuses excuses…

tmrw if end of week 1. And at weekend I’m away at friends :/

I would find it hard to do this on mat leave @Addidas, I spent both of my mat leaves in cafes with my mates. It probably explains a lot about why I'm overweight now though! I was breastfeeding so got away with it to begin with.

I'm doing low carb and agree it takes care of most of the hunger but the 8 hour window for eating is a killer. I'm starving all morning. As I said I committed to three weeks but I think I'm going to up to 1,000 calories and introduce yogurt, berries and possibly a handful of hazelnuts for breakfast at the end of the three week window.

The morning hunger just isn't getting any better. 16 hours without eating is a long time. I'm often hungry in the evening too but that is just my brain trying to tell me I need to sit and eat crisps!! I can deal with that.

I think there is a lot of science behind the fast window but I'm not diabetic and my BMI is in the overweight category so introducing breakfast feels sensible.

@FairyCakeSprinkles yes it’s hard! I meet mates and have a black coffee it’s no fun! But I don’t feel good at this weight so it needs to shift.

I have 3 meals as can’t handle 2! But I stop eating by 430pm I seem to find evenings fine and then when I wake and am ready I eat first thing….u couldn’t eat late and then have food at 11 I’ve tried and I just binged!

Well, I managed my park sandwich! Went to Pret so had Tamari and Ginger Aubergine bowl which did have whole grain rice so not low carb but only 284 calories. That was the best I could do.

No real protein at lunch so was completely starving and have just bought a small Kind nut bar to eat on train home. 157 calories.

Chicken curry adapted from the Pinch of Nom book when I get home at 316 calories. Might treat myself to yogurt and a few strawberries to take myself to 850 for the day.

Food is piling up in the fridge 😆

My teen liked the baked mozzarella chicken I made last week, so I made that for her and there's two portions in the fridge. There's also one portion of beef and bean goulash and now three portions of Turkey bolognaise 🙈

I need to start freezing things. Which involves making space in the freezer.

Tiny loss for me this morning. I am hoping for a loss tomorrow morning too.

And we'll done @FairyCakeSprinkles for being so firm when out for lunch!

So I’m 11.9 today. No clue what’s going on. That’s 0.4 drop from yest but a 2.5 gain from 3 days ago???? Weirdly I feel like my tummy is flatter but the scales e saying something very different…it’s not my period due either
must not veer of track. I’m still so far from goal!!! Tmrw is actually my one week from starting. So will post my stats and total loss tmrw. Sigh. Why is it so hard!

So today good not gone to plan going to have to fry skip dinner

brekkie - smoked salmon and low carb breas
lunch - was out and went for lamb chops grilled which are low carb but such high cal!!! Had to guesstimate how much

but I don’t think I have any more cals left for day. So will try power through as I ate at 2pm so it’s only 2 hours earlier than I usually stop….

@Addidas I think it's the low carb element as makes it easy to randomly hold on to water. I finally managed to drop all the fri eve weight yest morning plus an extra pound - only for it all to go back on this morning for no apparent reason  so technically 0 lost in the last week. Pah!

@clare8allthepies I am doing the same as you and cutting carbs a lot more this time. Will add back more in a month or two to be at 50g ish. Am working out net carbs to encourage me to eat fibre but I am counting even 'free' veg - average for the week is 30g.

Pretty good day today. Smoothie breakfast, the remains of yesterday's thai curry for lunch, banana snack, chicken fajitas with lettuce wraps and greek yoghurt for dinner. Chicken heavy but I'm trying to keep my protein up.

I’ve stuck to it except one slice of cake! And my cals r 1000ish as I can’t do 800! But I may try today as away this weekend at a friends and I really don’t want to have a gain on Monday am. Not sure how to manage this!!!

Morning All, congrats to everyone on their weight loss and sticking with the ups and downs!

I lost 2lbs this week which I'm happy with as I had a couple of work night outs to contend with. Overall that is 12lb I'm 20 days in and clothes are definitely getting looser!

Next week I am away with work so not expecting any loss, very much a damage limitation exercise. When I get back I have 3 weeks to my holidays so aiming to lose 2lbs each week.

I'm now 12.8, starting at 13.6. Wanting to get close to 12 for my holidays then to 11 overall. I'm 5.7 and in my 50s.

Hi, joining please. Going to try this, feeling incredibly flat and disappointed in myself. Various attempts to lose weight this year but today I weigh exactly what I weighed in January. Big family event I’ve known about for years on Saturday (9th) and here I am about to dash to Next to try to find a suitable dress that fits. I don’t even have a sweet tooth but the carbs get me.

In my 50s, 5ft 5in.
SW 11st 3lbs
Measurements 42/38/44

I used to be 34/28/32 more or less all my adult life until I hit 50, no wonder my clothes don’t fit!

Hi everyone.

starting today at 13stone 2 pounds and will weigh in one week, next Saturday. I have just had surgery however so im not sure how much of that weight is air/water.

Im going to Rhodes the end of August and I’d love to be 11 stone by then!

@Zott i think are stats r similar though I’m 3 pounds heavier but an inch taller. I’m post baby but I’ve never been slimmer than 10.4 in my adult life …am keen to get close to there!

at a friends and survived so far! They had roast chicken and potatoes and salad for lunch so far and I just had chicken and salad and declined potatoes and pudding.obv not weighed the food out but I think I’m on 600 cals so far….and zero carbs Wine later is going to be hard to say no to though!!!!

@Zott It is ridiculously hard when you have people eating yummy food around you! I find weekends and summer combined are always the hardest on a diet.

Thanks for the welcome @bikinibottom24 and @Addidas. Weight is weird, I think reducing my measurements is my main goal. My best pal is the same weight as me but wears size 10 when I am squeezing into a 16. Under the fat I have narrow shoulders and hips, maybe that’s the reason.

Tried Next dresses in size 16 and size large. They looked so lovely on the model online 😂but like rags on me.

Skipped breakfast and lunch after weighing myself. Dinner is a traybake of roast courgettes, cauliflower, portobello mushrooms and spinach. Delicious.

I'm busy getting ready to go out. I've worked out that I'm going to be outside my eating window (table booked 8.30) and I'm going to have a glass of red but it is a Greek restaurant so hoping it won't be too bad if I have chicken souvlaki without the pitta.

At the end of the day I figure I have to have a life.... mind you, being a social person is probably what got me in this pickle in the first place Confused
