Thank you for the welcome and sorry for not replying earlier Xraydelta but I have been caught up with work. Yes I think I have all of Michael Mosley's books except the last one where he made some changes to Fast 500. I need to reread and bring myself up to speed. I am still in planning stage but have started to make small changes already (less sugar for starters). I haven't signed up for the plan - didn't even know there was one. I must look it up. When I say physio led excerises I mean exercises recommended by a physio as I don't want to do more damage to my vulnerable bits 😁. I'll pop in and out if here over the coming days and will start properly next week.

im 11.2.5 today so down 1.5 overnight. Be fab to be 11 by end of week but know it will slow down soon

Morning ☀️

Yesterday was a absolutely horrible day for all sorts of reasons so I am moving onwards!

Today I have had two boiled eggs and asparagus and a babybel
Dinner is Mediterranean Chicken bake

That is a smidge over 600 calories, so I'll do some broccoli and maybe a small salad with lettuce, cucumber and red pepper.

I need a strict day today!

Kitchen closed on 1000 but 44g carbs as I had a lattee which was not on plan! Suspect no loss tmrw :(

@xraydelta it was!!! But I’m now Bloddy starving as it was 140 cals which would have been better spent on olives / veg / ham / eggs etc! Really want to eat but will try push past it :(

Anyone have any low carb on plan packed lunch ideas? I keep having

mozarella salad
frittata
on repeat!

I am wavering ever to take this morning to work with me @Addidas 🤷🏻‍♀️

Salads are so boring on repeat and we've only a microwave at work, which eliminates so much.

I keep taking either leftovers or one of these when I need a quick option:

The only low carb flavours are the kale one and the tomato one. And frankly, I still feel hungry after one as there's little protein 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

You could try making cheese and broccoli egg muffins? But similar to frittata.

I think I'll take the leftover mozzarella from last night with me today.

Happy to report 11.2 today. Got a trickier day today as have a work meeting to go on till 6 and I’m starving for dinner by 5 and then start my fasting (I know this is a bit odd but works for me and as my kids are small it doesn’t hugely
impact as they eat at stupid o’clock too!)
there’s going to be snacks so I need to stay strong.

Plan today
cocnut yoghurt rasberries
burrata and tomatoes
pesto chicken and brocolli
990 and 25g carbs.

let’s get to 11 by Monday!

For lunch I tend to make bacon and egg cups and take them to work with some salad/tomatoes. I have also got the mini packets of fridge raider chicken bites which help as a snack. Or make a batch of roasted veg and have a scope of it with some protein.
900 yesterday and hungry today so eaten 500 already. Quiche and veg for dinner.

@Addidas I occasionally eat early too, even though my teens are teenagers. I have to drive/chaperone for so much of every evening and I was in a previous really bad habit of grabbing unhealthy stuff on the move and having the odd glass of wine out hanging around.

I have just closed my kitchen at 4pm on 751 calories and 19.5g carbs 🙌🏻

The low carb minestrone I made this afternoon was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed that and shall have the other portion tomorrow or Saturday.

Can I jump in?! We’ve just started this week, following the Fast 800 recipe book for now but also searching for meal ideas!

I’ve been intermittent fasting 16:8 for a couple of years but have not been eating great during my eating window so have a stubborn 10lbs or so to shift! We’re really doing it for DH’s benefit as he has a good 3 stone that needs to go, but his will power is non-existent so it falls to me to meal plan and make sure there’s no naughty food in the house!

It’s his brother’s wedding in May so that’s the motivation for now.

Closed today at 763 calories and 35g carbs. I try and stay under 40 which I feel gives me a little flex. Diet a but samey and I might actually turn into a chicken from all the eggs and chicken I'm eating but hoping it will be worth it on weigh in day..

Hello @CaveMum ! Well done for getting your husband on it, my DH would pass out on 800 calories (or says he would!)

I was very hungry this morning so ate more than planned and finish at 1000 calories. Feeling very bloated, I think it’s all the eggs!

Thanks @Chunkymonkey123, he’s been complaining about his weight for the last 18 months and is now at his heaviest ever, almost 17 stone. He’s tall and broad so his frame compensates, but his snoring is awful (we’re in separate rooms) and he’s so lethargic. I’ve been nagging him, in a loving way, because I’ve been worried about his health so hopefully this will kickstart some new healthy habits.

I’ve had a constant headache for the last 24 hours, I’m drinking loads of water (I would drink around 8 glasses a day before this anyway) and am assuming it’s “Keto Flu” with a dose of sugar withdrawal - I’ve developed a terrible sugar addiction (chocolate, sweets, etc) over the last year or so, the only reason I’ve not piled on extra weight is because of the IF and regular runs 😳

chicken pesto (meant to be eaten yest but replaced with ultra processed crp)

The meeting was just so though with so much food staring at me for 4 hours. Need a plan for it as it’s monthly

Never mind, @Addidas, it’s taken me 5 days to get back to my pre-takeaway/wine/Ferraro Rocher low. I’m 11.6.6 this morning, which is where I was on Sun morning. Not close enough to 11! Still chasing my stone, which would be 11.5.4. I’m only 5’2” so I’ve got a lot further to go. Healthy BMI for me is 9.11 and under. If I stick to it tonight and manage not to drink I might hit my stone by Mon.

@CaveMum my DH is doing this too but supplementing with extra snacks (mostly healthy, nuts, jerky, yoghurt etc). He probably comes in at around 1200 calories rather than 800 most days, but it’s still significantly less than he was eating before, and a lot less junk. He wouldn’t weigh at the start but he’s dropped a jeans size already and is visibly thinner.

I am feeling a bit low, looking at how much my weight has gone down and up in the last year, but I have spotted while on my scales app that I am en entire stone lighter than I was on March 2 2022. That's worth a little yeah for! 🙌🏻

I still feel so bad about the yo-yo ing, but I am in a better place now than I was 12 months ago. That's worth something. And hopefully this time next year I'll be at least a stone lighter still, having lost it and kept it all.

I am making green fritters for lunch and then baked meatballs for dinner. That's if I end up buying a courgette before lunch 😁

Oh @xraydelta you should see mine. I feel same though I’ve lost a lot of maternity weight I’ve gone up and down since august. Lowest I was 10.12 in July and then it’s been 10.12 to 11.6 on and off. It’s not ok! I’m also annoyed.

anyways so far today is good day . I will be at or near 11 on Monday! (I hope!) no big weekend plans

At the start of covid I was just under 10 stone.

The lightest I have been since then was 10 stone 9 last December 😔 And continually over the last few years, pinging back up to 12 stone.

I undid all that work I had done last autumn by over eating over Christmas and January. I need to not do that!

Anyway, I hope I can drop below 11 in the next few days. It may take longer though.

This thread is absolutely invaluable to me in keeping on track and mutual support.

lowest I was 10.10 in Covid I felt great but needed to loose more and instead I put it on and then got preg!

Plus two tiny pieces of frankly disgusting Austrian chocolate. I should have known better 🙄

Still under 800 though.

Exercise class done this morning, but sadly only 6,000 steps: I just can't get that count up because it's frigging freezing and muddy outside.
