@Cream123 any chance you could eat a bit later and stick to 2 meals and maybe one protein/ veg snack. I think 3 meals will always bring you over the limit.

Today I had an ham, cheese, tomato and onion, 2 egg omelette.
2 Serrano and manchego rollittos
Bowl of chicken and veg soup
85g King prawns
25g 70% dark chocolate

675 kcal in total and only 15g of carbs

bluepixie · 22/10/2020 21:29

Not sure I can skip brekkie but yes tmrw I need to start shaving off the calories for sure. I’m hoping now I’m 3 days in I’ll cope dropping further.
I’ve just planned tmrw at 925 cals and 50g carbs. And hopefully get it all even lower over the weekend.
Not sure I could do 675!!!!

I like to get my 5 a day of veg in and find it hard to do with less than 40g carb I find....even if they all green!

mummymacphee · 23/10/2020 11:10

@Cream123 I managed to cut out breakfast by delaying it by an hour every day until it ran into lunchtime. It took a few days but I realised I was only eating first thing out of habit and I quite enjoyed seeing how long I could wait. Now, I just have a black coffee when I get up, drink loads of water and really enjoy my lunch.

Good news for me today - broke into the next stone - 12-13.2 - and that's a round 2 stone gone! 😁 I have another 3 to lose but so pleased with that progress in just under 9 weeks.

bluepixie · 23/10/2020 11:27

Will try that mummy-I am hungry by 830 though...prob coz I end eating at 6pm..hmm
Today I cut down and just had avacado and a few nuts . My tummy is currently rumbling!!!! But if goes to plan (of course it will!?! Will be in at 930 and 50 carbs which Id be really happy with

Well done for loosing so much weight amazing :)

Will aim to cut brekkie by next week!

Cantteach · 23/10/2020 11:33

Cream I find I'm hungry the day after eating carbs, DH says the same, so as your carbs reduce you may find it easily to move breakfast. We normally eat around 6pm and I'm going to have lunch in 30 minutes but I don't feel like I need to. It has taken a while to train myself not to have breakfast though.

I've lost 5lb this week and have comfortably moved down a notch on my belt. This has made me very happy, it has been years since this has happened. Sainsbury's has 25% off clothes so may treat myself to a new belt Smile

bluepixie · 23/10/2020 11:38

Thanks canteach. I’ll aim to be off brekkie by next week...so do u fast 630-1130 ? I might try same! I always find week one takes some adjusting and I’m hungry! Hopefully be less cals by next week. Trying to wait till 1230 for lunch today!

mummymacphee · 23/10/2020 11:48

@Cantteach 5lbs is a fab loss - well done!

I'm noticing jeans are a lot looser but not unwearable yet - probably because they were far too tight before I started!

aceofbase1 · 23/10/2020 12:44

@Cream123 I started off struggling without breakfast and now it's sometimes 2pm before I realise I haven't eaten!

I started off like a pp said and extending breakfast by an hour or so each day, then I got to having breakfast at 11am and found I then wasn't hungry until 4 ish so I'd have a babybel and a coffee to get me through to tea time

bluepixie · 23/10/2020 12:46

Ok great thanks for tips. Atm I wake 730 and then have brekkie around 9 (used to be 8). Will aim to have it at 10 tmrw!
Lunch eaten. Cauliflower rice and prawn stir fry. Black coffee and feet up while toddler naps!

44PumpLane · 24/10/2020 07:40

Had my first lo dough experience last night, made a lo dough pizza.... It was brilliant! I need to add more passata to the base, I didn't want to make it soggy so didn't put loads on but it was a little dry and not enough tomato tang, so will be adding more passata and a bit of tomato puree mixed in for the tang.

Genuinely thrilled with this discovery and will now be buying a bulk pack of the stuff as I can see me happily using it for fajitas too... And the fibre content is very satisfying too!

bluepixie · 24/10/2020 10:13

And I’ve skipped brekkie! Well it’s 10.15 and I’m on coffee no 2 with no milk. I’ll push through to 12 if I can!

mummymacphee · 24/10/2020 11:39

Well done @Cream123- only another half an hour and you can legitimately claim it's lunchtime! 😁

bluepixie · 24/10/2020 17:10

I lasted till 12 and I’ve just finished eating dinner as was too hungry.
Kitchen closed 880 and 50 carbs.
Cottage cheese blueberries nuts salad for lunch
Chicken tagine from cook book dinner - super tasty!

mummymacphee · 24/10/2020 20:25

Well done! Unfortunately the clocks going back mean we have to wait even longer for lunch tomorrow! Might need a long lie-in!

I'm watching Strictly and trying not to think about the chocolate in the fridge 🙄

AlgonquinBay · 24/10/2020 22:28

Back from holiday today (where I managed 5 big fat cheat days CakeWineBlush) but back on it now with 820 cals logged for today.

Plucking up the courage to get on the scales tomorrow - hoping I haven't done too much damage Hmm

aceofbase1 · 25/10/2020 07:12

We had a date night last night and on Friday I cheated knowing it was date night Saturday so was completely off plan Friday and Saturday. But after 8 weeks on this I know it really doesn't matter - I can get straight back on this today.

I'm going to try something really different this time. Usually I weigh myself every day but I'm not going to weigh myself until next Saturday! Confused I had quite a few cocktails on our date night, all very sugary and a 3 course meal Blush I thoroughly enjoyed myself though - I'm back on plan and I don't want to see the weight gain as it will be too disheartening!

bluepixie · 25/10/2020 14:43

@aceofbase1 I used to take 1/2 days off when I did this back in March. I still lost overall and it suited my lifestyle!

Managed to not eat till 1. We were out so had a chicken stir fry no rice noodles etc. Tired to guess cal and carb wise but I basically over exag eveything so shouldn’t be more what I’ve guessed!

Tonight just omelette to keep it all low and should come in at 850 and 40 g carbs

Hopefully in the swing of this 800 lark now!

MysweetAudrina · 25/10/2020 16:50

Bank holiday weekend here so trying to stay on plan. I didn't weigh today or yesterday as I did go a bit over on cals more than carbs.

Had yogurt and berries for breakfast and a mandarin and off cuts of ham as a snack after a walk. I have a rib roast with carrots, swede, onions and some lentils in the slow cooker since this morning so looking forward to tucking into that in a while. Some hotel dark chocolate for later.

bluepixie · 27/10/2020 07:43

Morning
Weigh in today. Stats
5 ft 6.
Sw 11.10
Week 1: 11.5.4

So 4.5 off. Not going to lie I went a bit mad yest. Not having brekkie on a work day doesn’t suit me. I got too hungry and irritable and ate about 5 biccies in office and a hot choc. At least I’m admitting it!
So I’d rather 1000 cals and not do that so back to small brekkie for me. Plan today

2 eggs with some cheddar
The bean soup from the cook book
Chicken satay from cook book if I have time to cook!

Cantteach · 27/10/2020 14:04

I seem to have plateaued again but that's ok. I've discovered Misfits 'chocolate' bars. A bar has 16g protein and 6g carbs so I split one with DH when I need a sweet nibble, which is more rare these days. The key thing is they are vegan, most protein bars seem to contain animal product and we are vegetarian.

After looking at comments on this thread I've been looking at lo dough. It has good reviews but seems expensive. Has anyone come across a good homemade version please?

I had promised myself I'd start running again over half term but it's just so wet and miserable. I need to find some more motivation!

mummymacphee · 28/10/2020 11:13

I'm plateauing again too - I'm trying to be calm and rational about it but it's a struggle! I can cope with 800 cals, low carb and no booze when the pay off is losing some actual poundage, but it's SO hard when the scales haven't moved for nearly a week!

nibdedibble · 28/10/2020 12:48

Oh this plateau I’ve reached is annoying! I’m at a constant 203.3/5/7lbs and can’t get below. On the plus side, it’s the lightest I’ve been since the end of 2018 and I look quite perky (I’m tall); on the minus side I wanted to be at 198 by the end of October and I don’t see 5lbs coming off in 3 days.

bluepixie · 28/10/2020 15:47

Sorry for all the plateaus. It’s so disheartening but hopefully a woosh for your all soon. Don’t give up!
Today meal plan
B-yoghurt and berries
L-melanzane and dash of milk in coffee
D-chicken salad and some dark choc
Will be 960 and 60g carbs. This suits me better as if I drop too low I binge and get hangry! Fingers crossed for a good loss again on Tuesday my weigh in day!

Cantteach · 28/10/2020 21:01

In the evening I sometimes snack on strawberries and blueberries but the last few times they've been pretty tasteless apart from the odd few very sharp blueberries. I think I'm going to stop eating them over winter. Any ideas what I can replace them with?
