Thanks - will look out for them Smile

Glad your reset worked @aceofbase1 I'm still hanging in. Dh suggested takeaway last night and I managed to stay low carb with 1/2 Portuguese chicken and salad. Probably went over on calls but that doesn't seem to negatively affect my weight loss as much as overdoing it on the carbs. I'm nearly into my next stone and only 9lb to a healthy bmi so going to keep on the 800 until I get there and maybe then do 6:1 and hopefully then 5:2

Jollyholibobs · 17/10/2020 11:59

Haven’t posted for a few days but continue to follow everyone’s progress. I’m glad to see you’ve overcome your plateau @aceofbase1.

I’ve reached a healthy BMI and clothes fit again. This WOE is great for me. Have discovered that a carb rich diet does me no favours and I have no desire to return to it. I also have realised that I have spent a lot of my life focussing on calories rather than nutrition. Trying to fit in so called treats like cake and chocolate into a restricted calorie allowance. To achieve this I cut out all the stuff that made meals enjoyable and nutritious. Without all the trash in my diet I have loads of room in my calorie allowance for good tasty nutritious food. I’m really enjoying cooking. DH is enjoying what I present and I am not feeling deprived.

However I used the Inbody fancy weighing machine in the gym yesterday for the first time in a year. Weight was down, muscle was down and fat % was up on this time last year. Something to work on there. PT suggested I need more protein. I don’t eat meat so that’s something to focus on over the next month. Not eating meat but upping protein. Muscle up and fat down. And actually although I’m in a healthy BMI I could do with losing a few more pound around my middle. I have a very small frame. So I’m staying in your gang for now.

Have a great weekend everyone and KOKO!

44PumpLane · 19/10/2020 08:36

Thanks for the crumble topping detail... I'll put ground almondsnonbthe asda shop.

Think I'll also add the slim fast keto shake. There are some days where I literally cannot be bothered to think about what to have for lunch!

I've recently been making a rather delicious chicken, with courgette, peppers and mushrooms on top, with half a tin of chopped tomatoes over the top then 30g mozzarella.... Baked in the oven then put over cauli rice and sprinkled with Aromat.

Delicious!

I started this WOE on 1st Oct I'm currently down 11.5lb (which is amazing) and I'm just under 1lb away from being within my healthy BMI range which I'm thrilled about.

I still have a way to go as I don't exercise so I'm still flabby so I'd like to continue with this WOE until I'm closer to 10st (I'm currently 10st10.8lb).

44PumpLane · 19/10/2020 08:37

Oh also I have ordered 2 lo dough to try, I get that people seem to either love it or hate it but I'm hoping I'll be in the "love" camp as it would be great to feel like I can have a pizza again!

Since I ordered the pack of 2 I thought I'd try the new low sugar, low carb cake bar too... I only bought 1 but figured if there was a day I was particularly in need of something sweet I could have the bar with a meal.

PhoenixMama · 19/10/2020 10:06

Hi ladies - HELP! I'm going through a break up and I'm eating so many carbs I might turn into one. I just can't seem to get on top of my eating. I know its making me feel crap with the food and all my clothes are getting snug. I don't know what to do to get on top of it. I've done this woe so successfully before but right now I feel like I can't get it even close to right. I'm hungry all the time!

HamishDent · 19/10/2020 12:26

I would like to join and started today! I’ve lost a few stone over the summer, but plateaued despite lots of exercise and can’t seem to get rid of abdominal fat although I have lost it fairly successfully everywhere else. Hoping this will help! I have around 1 stone to lose to get into the healthy bmi bracket but another stone again to get back to where I would like to be longer term.

Are there any runners on this thread? I run 4-5 times a week and working on getting up to 10k. I would appreciate any advice on what to expect. Did you find your running performance was affected by the fast 800 diet? I’m going to do a couple of weeks and see how I feel, but it would be good to know what I might expect. I’m happy to ramp down to 3 decent runs a week in the short term if needed, but not less than that.

PhoenixMama · 19/10/2020 13:59

@HamishDent The lady who started the thread @thenewaveragebear1983 ran a lot but definitely struggled between keeping at 800 and running.

I tried running on 800 (up to 5k, 3 x a week) and I couldn't do it. I was starving all the time, got headaches and my run performance suffered big time. I could usually manage on 1000cals ok - very protein heavy menu. I'm injured right now but would like to get back to it.

That’s interesting PhoenixMama and very useful. I suspect I’ll have to reduce the length/frequency of my runs for a couple of weeks and then increase my calorie intake a bit.

Jollyholibobs · 19/10/2020 14:59

@44PumpLane have you tried the fast800 Portobello Pizza recipe? I have them every week now when DH has pizza and love them.

@PhoenixMama I am very sorry to hear that you are having such a tough time just now Flowers. This way of eating really helps getting carb cravings under control. It takes an effort for the first few days which you know if you’ve done it before. I have found that I cope with stress better with this WOE. Turns out for me anyway chocolate is not that good a fix. So you might find it worth it. You will get plenty of support on this thread.

Welcome @HamishDent. I’m a runner. Yes I noticed performance dip in first couple of weeks but worth it in the long term. Also frankly at my level performance dip is not an issue apart from everything was a bit hard and less enjoyable.

KOKO everyone Smile

Jollyholibobs · 19/10/2020 15:00

Should say I’m running ave 5k 3x per week.

44PumpLane · 19/10/2020 15:44

Jollyholibobs I haven't tried the Portobello pizza.... May throw some portobello on the weekly shop to try if they are decent.

I enjoy the pitta pizzas but have to have both halves to feel sated and that's a real carb load!!

bluepixie · 19/10/2020 19:49

Hey guys
I need to rejoin again!

I started this in March. Lost a decent amount but then celebrations got in the way and I gained a bit I then couldn’t get my groove back but maintained for a long time . I then decided to do one last ivf cycle to try For no 2 (embryos r frozen for a 2021 transfer) but after the cycle finished I’ve emotionally eaten so much and drank so much wine (after months of not touching it ) and I’ve basically gained what I lost. I’m an emotional eater.

So I’m starting again. Was meant to be today but I failed as I was too hungry.

I need to do this for me. My clothes are tight and I feel awful.

So here I go
Weight 10.10 (ugh)
Height 5ft 6

Aim 1000 cals (never ever manage 800 consistently and I just get hangry)

Tips to get me through the first few though days please? My plan tmrw is
Yoghurt and fruit
Chicken breast and salad
Chicken drumsticks and broccoli

(A bit much chicken but food delivery coming in a few days atm only got chicken!)

bluepixie · 19/10/2020 21:30

Oh god I wish I was 10.10

I’m 11.10!!!!!!

AlgonquinBay · 20/10/2020 09:44

We're on holiday this week so I'm giving myself a few days off - currently eating toast and marmalade for breakfast!

Feels weird though and I'm full of anxiety about putting all the weight back on! Have to keep reminding myself that I'm not going to put two stone on just by eating a slice of toast Confused

Will still be sensible though and try to maintain this week. Have a great week everyone x

Jollyholibobs · 20/10/2020 13:25

@Cream123 Sorry you’ve been having an emotional time. Flowers. Welcome. I was 10.10 when I started this just 10 weeks ago. And my eating felt completely out of control. I am now 9.1. I’m shorter than you though so you won’t have as far to go as me. Point is if I can do it you can too. Keep that breakfast fruit to berries though. Best to avoid other fruits due to high sugar content. Lots of support on here.

@44PumpLane I had it last night with lots of homemade coleslaw just moistened with mayo. Yummy.

@AlgonquinBay enjoy your holiday. Will be interesting to see if you notice any non scale impacts from stopping this WOE for a bit?

bluepixie · 20/10/2020 13:33

Thanks for welcome @Jollyholibobs

I’m actually 11.10 was a very upsetting Typo! Well done on loss. That’s great. My goal is 10.3 not sure illl ever make it!!!

Today has been good. Not hungry...and yes sticking to berries only thanks :)
Been to loo a million times with all the water and black coffee !
Should be in at 1050 today and 50g if carbs which I’m pleased with for day 1. Must not snack tonight!

aceofbase1 · 20/10/2020 14:34

To the pp who mentioned lo dough I have it every weekend! I spread some tomato purée over the base, then sprinkle generous amount of grated mozzarella, then olives, sliced mushroom and chorizo or ham/chicken and then more mozzarella and a very small drizzle of olive oil. I put it on 200 degrees in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, I tend to let the edges burn slightly so it actually tastes like thin pizza crust. It's honestly amazing and you could be so varied with toppings!

Sooo I came on to show you another alternative product! I found this bread on Amazon, reviews look amazing and I e just had two slices of cheese on toast for the first time in 8 weeks and it was simply amazing!!! 30 calories a slice and 0.9g carbs and it tastes exactly like brown bread!!! I'm so excited I'll be having bacon and eggs on toast at the weekend!!

So much for me losing a stone by Christmas, since I set that target I've put on 2lbs! I've meal planned for the week and been shopping though and yesterday I cooked a lot so I should stick to it. I'm living in tier 3 so not like I can do any socialising. I need to refocus and make this happen!

aceofbase1 · 21/10/2020 08:39

@Cantteach you can do it! Grin

So my weight loss has picked up again since my stall and I've now lost a total of 1 stone and 7lbs in 8 weeks.

I have 4 more weeks until my wedding dress fitting and I need to lose around another 4lbs so I'm thinking that's achievable as long as there's no more plateaus! Then I have around another 8 weeks to lose a further half a stone to get to my final goal (Christmas in between though Grin)

Did any long termers find they plateaud more that once?

MysweetAudrina · 21/10/2020 11:38

I've broken another stone mark so now 11.13 so 20lbs in 5 weeks. 11.5 is the top of my healthy weight so definitely going to keep going until then. We are gone into almost full lockdown here so i legged it over the hotel chocolat to get stocked up on dark chocolate for the next 6 weeks.

mummymacphee · 21/10/2020 12:00

Well done@MysweetAudrina - great boost to get into the next stone! I have been stuck at 13-0.2 for five days now - it's SO frustrating!

44PumpLane · 21/10/2020 12:28

So I bought the slim fast keto vanilla powder and thought I'd report back..... My fitness pal says its high in saturated fat which is a bummer.

So 2 scoops is 200 cals but you add it to only 180ml of water so I'm assuming tbis isn't to be used as a meal replacement as after 180ml of liquid I'm guessing I'll be hungry quite quickly (but as I've literally just consumed it I'm not hungry).

It's quite sweet, tastes like a semi chemically milkshake. I'd not order it again in a cafe but as this type of shake goes its quite nice enough.

I won't be buying another tub once this one is finished though.

But it does mean I have 600 cals left for tea which is nice as it gives some flexibility and I may have a pitta pizza and salad... Go wild... Treat myself!

bluepixie · 21/10/2020 18:54

Day 2 here. A bit headachey and tired but to be expected given the hugeee drop in carbs!
I’ve had
Yoghurt berries
Avacado salad
Chineese chicken drumstickicks from the cookbook and spinach
1 square of dark choc

1100 and 60 carbs. Hoping by weekend I’ll drop the cals more but I struggle too much going st to 800/900..

@aceofbase1 love Lough dough too

Great losses everyone hopefully I’ll catch up soon!

@mummymacphee I had several plateaus during the last time I did this. Don’t do what I did and fall of wagon and end up back where u were! Keep going / try reduce carbs a bit. I know some Ladies would extend their fasting period and do only 1 meal a day to kick start things. Hopefully it will move soon.

bluepixie · 22/10/2020 19:10

Was hungry today. Not sure why.
Anyways I’ve ended on 1150 and 60 carbs again
Really need to reduce these calories. Hopefully hunger will improve.

Had heck Sausages brekkie and spinach
Chicken and courgetti in cheese sauce
Salmon and stir fried veg

White coffee and nuts when couldn’t bear the hunger is what pushed my cals up!
