Lovely swim at lunchtime.

I don't really have a target, Dreemhouse, but I'm a but of an all or nothing personality so if I don't keep myself accountable here, there's a good chance I'll sit down and not get up for 6 months 😬 I walk the dog for about 45 mins every day which I don't count as he's a sniffer and we only do about 3k slowly so for me it's more deliberate exercise that I count. That said, I'm still after about 4 months at the very early stages of couch to 5 k, and depending on how my shoulder is (rotator cuff issues) my swim is anywhere between 500m and 1250m, but I count them equally because they are hard work for me 😂

I like the accountability of counting too. I usually have less on in Q1 and Q4 because of the cold weather (and colder water!) and train more in the summer.

I was hoping to get my new kayak wet today but the weather turned to absolute 💩and I wasn't feeling it!

Imfreetofeelgood · 14/06/2024 22:55

Hi everyone, I'm back on a roll. This week so far :
Mon - 1 hour pilates class
Tues - 3.5 miles dog walk
Wed - 60 x 25m swim and 1 hour pilates class
Thursday - 6 mile dog walk
Friday - 48 x25m swim
Good to see you've all been active. Welcome Dreemhouse 🙂
My immediate aim is to introduce a 1/2 hour pilates session at home, every day, and body bar session 3 times a week at home. My left leg is still an issue, so no other classes for me at present. I need everything to be controlled - if I step too suddenly, without thinking, my calf plays up. Plenty I can do, working around it though.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 15/06/2024 14:18

Well done, @Imfreetofeelgood ! Good going.

I had a rest day yesterday, yoga class and T25 stretch DVD today. Starting the second week of T25 tomorrow- ugh.

Nice one @Imfreetofeelgood and @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson

Good luck Professor ! Great that you're back to it Imfree.

S&c this morning. Very stressful week ahead (big work deadlines and exams 😭) so I'll be getting out the adrenaline and cortisol either by hammering exercise or sobbing with a packet of biscuits. Could vary hour to hour...

Sorry to hear about your week ahead, MotherForkin - the one I just had was pretty bad but at least I didn’t have exams. Best of luck with it all.

T25 cardio done. Dear God, it’s horrible. I can’t yet get through it without stopping the DVD a couple of times.

25 min country pop spin
10 min stretch

One of those days where your legs just feel heavy!

BezMills · 16/06/2024 14:04

Anna Sensei really hammered us today at BodyCombat! So, naturally, I'll be giving my boxercise crew a hard time tomorrow! Thoughts and prayers for their shoulders and abs!

How did you find the first week of T25 Professor? I imagine it's brutal! Good luck for next week Motherforkin 🍀 Enjoy the biscuits!

Great variety Imfree, keep going 👏👏. Country pop sounds like great fun spike.

Sending prayers to your boxercise crew Bez 🤣

Got a 4 mile WWL in today

Thanks Professor and Roonetta. Panic mode has started so i went for a short run to break up the afternoon. It was very warm and heavy.

S&c. Legs day and lots of squats. I've reduced the weight on the bar to get lower in my squats but bloody hell it's hard to get to parallel. I'm blaming tight hip flexors after yesterday's running.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 17/06/2024 20:53

T25 Total Body Circuit done. Bloody annoying day as there’s something wrong with the DVD and it kept freezing. Even more annoyingly it’s the only DVD in the set that has two workouts on it so I’m in for more of the same tomorrow. It was OK last week!

T25 is a bit grim, roonetta, even without the DVD irritation! It’s just 25 solid minutes of really hard work every day for 5 days (would be 6 if I did the cardio twice as set out in the plan).

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 18/06/2024 08:13

T25 Speed done. DVD didn't play up as much today. This is probably the easiest disc in the set as it builds in stretches between moves, so it's not just constant pounding.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 18/06/2024 08:15

How's it going, MotherForkin?

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 18/06/2024 18:02

As feared Professor! Thanks for asking though.

Swim at lunchtime today. Got caught on a call as I was walking into the pool (building not water) which was frustrating as I missed 10 minutes of an already short session.

OP posts:
BezMills · 18/06/2024 19:15

boxercise last night, I did indeed give them a good sesh! 88

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 19/06/2024 06:40

T25 Lower Body. Ugh. I wish I weren’t so uncoordinated. I don’t think I’m quite fit enough to keep up for the full 25 minutes anyway, but I have the extra problem that every time there’s a complex move I get mixed up and fall over my own feet.

Grin at your hard-working Boxercise people, BezMills.

BezMills · 19/06/2024 10:02

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson yeah that's my bugbear with a lot of exercise classes and recorded media. There's a lot of complicated stuff, and even when you just got the hang of it, then you're onto the next bit!
I used to do BodyAttack (mainly to support a fellow LM instructor to be fair) and there was an awful lot of complicated footwork that I struggled with. Same for Dance Fit and Step.
As I've said before, the only reason I'm keeping up in BodyCombat (and even passed instructor training) is I've done all the moves 1000s of times over the decades, and also they keep repeating things that I've seen before.

I managed to get out for s&c class at lunchtime. My legs were very unhappy with more work after Monday's squats, and it finished with a brutal 12 minute EMOM.

OP posts:
ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 20/06/2024 06:37

T25 ab intervals done, and week 2 completed- 3 more to go before I switch to Beta.

What’s EMOM, MotherForkin?

49

BezMills · 20/06/2024 07:06

glad you asked @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson , I was wondering too!

Pilates yesterday, felt pretty good for once. 89

spikeandbuffy · 20/06/2024 09:39

Netball, we lost and I only played the first third as I got knocked over by one of the other team and twisted my knee Angry
Strangely it's my ankle that hurts more today!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/06/2024 18:02

117
Ouch, hope you're on the mend soon Buffy.

Emom is every minute on the minute, Professor. We had to do 6x triceps dips, 3x burpees and 20x mountain climbers, starting on the first minute. However long it takes, you get the remainder of the minute to rest, then start again on the next minute. Inevitably rest decreases the further into the set as you get more tired. It wasn't fun.

Didn't have long today but needed something hard so I did some hill sprints which nearly killed me.
