Hello @IVFlife 👋

OP posts:
BezMills · 16/07/2023 08:29

Welcome @IVFlife !

Yesterday was a rest day. Played crazy golf and that was as energetic as I got! Sitting with DD watching cartoons rn, going to skip the regular Sunday 9am swim, as the water looks gopping and I'm not feeling it. But I might go down anyway and just jump in the waves to be sociable.

IVFlife · 16/07/2023 13:25

Hello all. Was volunteering at junior parkrun today so got a fair amount of steps in there. (Including to the cafe for coffee and back after!)

About to head to David Lloyd for some gym and swim time.

bonfirebash · 16/07/2023 13:42

10 min barre
30 min Christina aguilera ride

Welcome @IVFlife ☺️. Sounds like you are getting lots of variety in today!

Day 7 PRE

IVFlife · 19/07/2023 23:45

3k run and an hour of swimming today.

BezMills · 20/07/2023 04:03

Nice action @IVFlife

I taught (one person!) BodyCombat on Friday then we had like 9 on Sunday. That was so much fun. One woman was a visitor, she teaches a couple of LM programs. Another was her neice, who was quite shy but fit as all heck. The rest were my usual crew of lunatics, and we blew the roof off.

I swam tuesday and weds, but taking it easy as I am hopefully doing a 2 mile swim on Saturday. I say easy, still teaching BC twice, which ain't easy, but tbf mainly hits me in the legs. Luckily I only need my legs for walking down the beach, I barely use em while swimmjng crawl.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 20/07/2023 21:57

I ended up doing 20k steps carrying a 10kg backpack on the last day of my trip, so I'm counting it! The jet lag absolutely flattened me since I got back so I just got back to the gym today. It was a hard class (especially when I realised I was using a 24kg weight for lateral pull downs instead of the 16kg I thought I was using!)

Another sleepless night so just a short run this morning.

Yesterday had a double dip then taught BC. Had a new participant, who had some experience as a dancer. She smashed the whole class like a champ, and then was asking the next instructor about BodyPump.

Today just a swim, my class was cancelled due to low numbers booked (to be fair zero is pretty low!)

85 days.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/07/2023 10:47

The weather has been too bad to get in the sea here, Bez. We've had incredibly heavy downpours most days meaning the run off into the sea is too iffy to risk getting in the water.

Gym class this morning ,heavy weights which I like. 3km dog walk when I got home, so I'm already at 75% of my daily activity according to my watch! If the rain stays off for the afternoon I've a lot of gardening to do.

Hello 👋

I’m on holiday, and it’s plenty warm enough to swim in the sea here. So I did. I’ve also managed 15,000 steps on 5 days in the last week. So just about keeping active.

Bonfire23 · 23/07/2023 11:53

30 min women's history month ride
10 min stretch

BezMills · 23/07/2023 12:31

I went down to the shore yesterday but it looked unappealing. Low tide, murky, onshore wind. I just got back in the car and went for a big walk instead.
Today taught my BC class, and no swimming as the water will be very dirty from yesterday's rain.

86 days

Well done everyone!

👋 Oubliette - enjoy your holiday ☺️

I have been busy this week and haven't managed to get anything but my walks in. Was determined to fit in a workout today no matter what.

Holiday sounds lovely, Oubliette.

I was planning a rest day today but I went for a short run.

Project Survive the Summer starts here...
Started off well with a short run and a yoga session.
Simple goal, alternate run/ strength days through the week.

BezMills · 24/07/2023 12:22

well done team, and good luck in the summer!

I thought the water would be getting better today but we've had some heavy showers again, so I'm not going in until Wednesday now. I love swimming but I'm not willing to swim in dirty water, that could really put a crimp in my summer!

Pier to Pier got delayed until 5 August and then cross Solent is 12th. I feel good but ideally I'd like to get some more swimming done!

BogRollBOGOF · 24/07/2023 16:58

I've swum less this year; repeatedly poorly children, other projects, weather. I had one in December where I emerged from the lake to find my phone ringing to pick child A up, another occasion deciding that it was safe to go for an indoor swim and getting a call 30min later to pick up child B who vomited. Last week, child A's organisational skill thwarted me, but I managed to rebook.

At least the DCs are now decent swimmers, and I can get some lengths in when we do casual swims. Beats bobbing around waist deep and freezing!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/07/2023 17:03

Run this morning with the dog. He's getting more patient and saving his sniffs for my walking breaks. Or he's finally learned he doesn't like to be semi strangled when he goes from trot to stop without warning.

Hello, I've been really rubbish at posting but I have been exercising. Doing Caroline Girvan's Fuel now for the second time (and actually enjoying it much more than the first time) plus lots of steps (usually 12-15k most days) as dog needs a lot of walking.

Glad to hear your DDog is better now motherforkin. And how nice you can run with him. How old is he now?

Enjoy your holiday oubliette and happy exercising to everyone else!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 25/07/2023 21:51

Hi Sophie. Doggo has just turned 5 but because he's a rescue greyhound he's only discovered playing and thinks he's a pup 😂 Sounds like yours is keeping you busy! Is he a year old now?

I accidentally added 5kg to my squats today (I thought I was using a 10kg bar but it was 15kg - I usually use a 20kg and it felt very light!) and so got to 40kg rather than 35kg. I was delighted with myself until i realised the woman on the rack beside me was squatting 80kg 😳

Couple of days off for me due to a water leak from the upstairs neighbours Angry
Fire brigade had to come out as it was coming through my light fittings

roonetta · 26/07/2023 13:19

Hello Sophie and Bog 👋. Lovely to see you back on here ☺️

Oh no Bonfire, what rubbish luck. Hopefully all is sorted now?

Wow Motherforkin, 40kg is nothing to be sniffed at! You should be very proud 👏👏👏

Did a Nat Hayward workout today
