Oh, I've never had to deal with ticks. I think greyhounds having such short hair is helpful to avoid them (or so I tell myself hopefully)

S&c this evening.

Shred L3 done. Jillian doesn’t have to put up with the cat lying underneath her when she’s trying to do push-ups and then biting her when she gets bored.

Yuk hate ticks Imfree, they are vile 🤢. Our long haired cat often comes in with them.

Your cat story is so relatable Professor. I used to have a cat who would swipe at my head when doing push ups - it's quite off putting 😂

Nat Hayward strength workout ✅

Off to netball tonight!

Imfreetofeelgood · 15/05/2024 20:17

Yesterday - 3 mile dog walk - I'm expecting my niece to say he's refusing to come back next week, seeing as he had a streets /road type walk. I even kept him on the lead in the garden, so he couldn't dive in the bushes. 🤣

Today 80 x 25m swim, and 1 hour pilates class. Someone was crying in the changing room because a women had a go at her for swimming slow in "the fast lane". They really need to have a medium and slow lane, like all the other pools round here.

buffyslayer · 15/05/2024 21:07

Netball was so much fun, I wanted to keep playing. We have such a nice team too

florenceandthemac · 16/05/2024 09:12

Ah I'm glad you're enjoying the netball @buffyslayer

You've been busy @BezMills !

87 - but I'm now out of action...
Did upper body on Tuesday, then a fast walk in the evening. Yesterday I did a short glutes session, then ran with run club after work. I really shouldn't have...
I've been struggling with my groin/leg over the last couple of weeks, just low level and have been working on it with my physio, but it's been a bit worse this week. I really probably should have rested, instead I went running... It started to get worse last night, and I've been up since 4:30 as even lying/moving in bed was so painful. Had to WFH today 😕
I can't cope with the thought of no exercise for the foreseeable (I think I need to rule out anything lower body, walking & running for now), so it looks like I might have to do upper body every day 😕
Any ideas would be gratefully received (not swimming, I hate it...)

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 16/05/2024 10:23

Shred L3 done. 6 more to go, counting down till we go away for half term and I get a break.

florence, sorry you’re injured. Do you think you could do yoga or Pilates? A lot of the moves are lying down or on hands and knees, and a competent teacher should be able to adapt for injury.

@florenceandthemac - hope you're not out of action for long.

BezMills · 17/05/2024 08:51

Rest day Tuesday. Weds was Pilates (no swim).
Thursday had a dawnie swim, BodyCombat after work, then BodyPump after that. Pump was hilariously hard. It's one of those 'serious' type classes, but I refuse to be serious, just laughed at how hard it was for the whole class. Went for a quick dip to cool down after pump, could barely walk downhill! Had mad sore arms overnight but thankfully woke up with arms which A bend at the elbow and B work.
Dawnie this morning

BezMills, you put me entirely to shame!

BezMills · 17/05/2024 16:46

Hehe @ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson I swing from not much to ALL THE TRAINING depending on the season, life, motivation. I'm feeling a bit fired up rn, going with it, while it lasts

Day off the Shred today, went to a good yoga class that really stretched my shoulders and upper back.

BezMills · 18/05/2024 12:28

Dawnie this morning then joined a Surfers Against Sewage protest on my board late morning, then had a wee double dip after.

I was away last night for work so had a swim in the hotel pool this morning. I thought it would be empty at 8am but there were very annoying people who couldn't grasp the concept of me swimming up and down by the wall so I had to give up after 600m. I did walk about 400 miles through the two airports as well.
