DH and I have. Hoping it will keep me motivated and kickstart my half marathon training which has been non existent so far
Am aiming for a mix of gym, run, walk and cycle to get my target of being active every day and fingers crossed it's doable

Only managed a 3k walk today but better than nothing I guess. Day 9 complete.

HerondaleDucks · 10/01/2020 06:57

Can't believe I just did day 10!
Ahh! Well proud!

HoundOfTheBasketballs · 10/01/2020 14:07

Well done @HerondaleDucks

I have also completed day 10. Three miles ticked off.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 10/01/2020 16:50

So day 9 was a my walk to work and a dance class
Day 10 has been walk to and from work
True to form the damn sore throat and feeling crap is back
Have shelved today's run, left work early and am pottering at home hoping I will feel properly better soon
Aaggghh so frustrating

Day 8 ✓
Day 9 ✓
Day 10 ✓

Work made things very tricky on day 8 but did my 10k steps, and a couple of short runs on days 9 & 10.

My RED buff has arrived - it's a good one! Not too thick, but keeps my ears warm.

Were a third of the way through! Keep it up everyone!

GroggyLegs · 10/01/2020 20:49

hobnobs - so frustrating! Sad hope you're better soon.

BuddhaAtSea · 10/01/2020 20:56

Oh my word, I didn’t see this before!
Day 10 here for me as well.
I run every Monday (club), Wednesday and Saturday (park run). If I’m working Saturday, I do a spin class at the gym and swim afterwards.
Sundays I do body pump and swim.
Tuesdays and Fridays I do Pilates.

Does anybody else find this addictive? 😆

RomaineCalm · 10/01/2020 21:19

Day 10 ☑️

Should have done a C25k session but couldn't get out so managed 5k walk whilst DC were at an activity.

ShinyGiratina · 10/01/2020 22:09

Day 9: 3k down the nice flat park by the river Grin
Day 10: a very hilly, muddy run-walk for 8 miles in the glorious sunshine with a hint of spring approaching. I'm tired tonight!

Plus more of Adriene's Home sessions which are doing a lot to keep me functioning pretty smoothly. I'm sure I'm creaking less than my previous RED Januarys... I'll see what the osteopath reckons next week...Grin

I've got a trail HM at the end of Feb. I've got good base fitness from last year's 3 HMs including one in late Oct and a 10 miler in Nov, but it all tailed off in December. I'm feeling more positive that I'll be ready after today's run. It was slower than usual and more walked than run, but that's still 2:20 on my feet in challenging conditions. I've got a few more weeks to increase milage into the first part of Feb and I'm sure I'll feel invincible after a taper and some rest days Grin

GroggyLegs · 10/01/2020 22:19

Buddha I wouldn't say I find exercising every day addictive but it definitely gets me into the mindset that I should and can exercise regularly, and reminds me that I feel SO much better when I'm breaking a sweat 2-3 times a week. It's so much easier to keep the motivation going than keep stopping & starting!

I would absolutely love a varied schedule like yours - maybe when I retire... 😂

BuddhaAtSea · 11/01/2020 07:32

@GroggyLegs 😂 I work full time, long shifts. What helps is that I’m in the town centre, I have a teenager that’s pretty self sufficient and no partner :)

HerondaleDucks · 11/01/2020 14:12

Day 11 done.
Pilates class and I did a 2000m row in 9.27 mins which I was fairly proud of

BuddhaAtSea · 11/01/2020 15:34

That’s really good @HerondaleDucks!

I’ve done park run this morning and walked the dog for ages. Now snuggle and nap time :)

RomaineCalm · 11/01/2020 18:10

Day 11 done. Mostly on the treadmill at the gym.

I'm not sure that I'm addicted but I do like ticking off the days and having put the poster on the kitchen wall I really don't want to give up now.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 11/01/2020 18:30

Well done all
Spent the afternoon in bed
God I sound like a right moaner on this thread soz
Am going to have a short walk to somewhere that will serve me some wine in a bit
That'll have to count for today

Well done everyone, powerful stuff!

I did parkrun this morning so another 3 miles in the bank.

GroggyLegs · 12/01/2020 13:33

4 miles trail run this morning. I thought we were going for a jog in the park, then my friend ran through a holly bush & up a muddy bank Confused

It was great, but now I need to wash my trainers.

RomaineCalm · 12/01/2020 17:05

Completed Day 12 Smile.

Walked nearly 8 miles this afternoon with a friend - I suspect I'll be feeling it tomorrow though.

HerondaleDucks · 12/01/2020 17:53

Day 12. An hour in the gym. Full body.
Then a 45 min walk around the park to total of 4km

HoundOfTheBasketballs · 12/01/2020 18:26

Day 12 rather reluctantly completed!

3 more miles. I have to go out super early tomorrow, before breakfast, as I'm giving blood at lunchtime and you're not allowed to do exercise for 24 hours afterwards.

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 12/01/2020 19:48

5K today.
Finally. Fecking finally.

This is big for me as I’ve been utterly plagued with injury and getting 40 minutes to actually go and run in the day is a massive deal.

ShinyGiratina · 12/01/2020 20:00

RED12: Yoga with Adriene including today's Home video and Run Directing at junior parkrun which is the best part of a couple of km pulling the equipment trolley. Plus I have to jump around to lead the warm up

RomaineCalm · 12/01/2020 20:05

Well done PaulHollywood! Crown Smile

HerondaleDucks · 13/01/2020 05:49

Today the struggle is real. I'm just sat on the exercise bike hoping 45 mins of a half assed effort counts lol

BuddhaAtSea · 13/01/2020 06:01

😂😂😂 it does!
Well done you all.
Yesterday I did a long long shift, I came home late at night and took the dog for half an hour walk. So day 12 done ✅
