DH and I have. Hoping it will keep me motivated and kickstart my half marathon training which has been non existent so far
Am aiming for a mix of gym, run, walk and cycle to get my target of being active every day and fingers crossed it's doable

Day 4: ran 4.1 (because every 0.1 counts IMO).

I don't plan to run tomorrow but will try & do 10k steps and yoga.

GroggyLegs · 04/01/2020 11:04

Sorry you're feeling rough hobnobs Sad

Nothing wrong with a day resting if you need it, but hopefully you are well enough for a walk or something quiet.

HerondaleDucks · 04/01/2020 12:58

15 mins on the crosstrainer and then a 30 min pilates class. My hips feel amazing now

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 04/01/2020 15:40

Half an hours walk and am back on the sofa

Hope you feel better soon @hobnobsaremyfave

RomaineCalm · 04/01/2020 18:19

Day 4 completed. Did W1 R2 of C25K but it felt hard.

Also feeling a bit cross at myself that I have gone from someone who could happily jog 5/10k to now struggling with a couple of miles.

trilbydoll · 04/01/2020 19:38

I went for a brisk walk last night and ran 9km this morning. I tried new shoes and my knee is hurting now, I've never had any trouble with my knees so I'm a bit Confused fingers crossed going back to my normal shoes will sort it out.

Plan is for another family walk tomorrow. I can hardly wait Hmm

GroggyLegs · 05/01/2020 09:32

@RomaineCalm - I feel your frustration! I booked my first race of 2020 last night & should have been going for the 10 mile option, but took the shorter distance because I'm just not that fit at the moment.

It will come back soon enough with a bit of effort, but cross with myself for not keeping it up.

HerondaleDucks · 05/01/2020 09:46

Day 5 done. An hour at the gym. Full body. I'm pooped.

Skinnydecafflatte · 05/01/2020 12:48

Anyone with the Tshirt are you crossing/ticking off the days on it?

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 05/01/2020 16:46

Frustrated by this bloody cold but managed a 5k walk
Hopefully will be back fighting fit soon as I really wanted to use this month to get some running training started
Determined to keep moving each day though
Well done everyone

Day 5: A other 3.2 steady miles. Today was the first day I really didn't want to do it! Only another 26 days to go. 😂

PaulHollywoodsSexGut · 05/01/2020 18:50

I had a really lovely run today that totally set me up all bright eyed and bushy tailed for the day.

Tomorrow is v busy for me so will end up running to the pub tomorrow eve as it will be the only time I have.

Quelle dommage

ShinyGiratina · 05/01/2020 19:33

I ran to the pub on day 2 Grin

Did a walk today, plus volunteering at junior parkrun, so I'm not fussed about squeezing in a token run. I might fit some yoga in later when dinner has settled.

My body's feeling pretty good other than my left glute Grin My calves have grudgingly accepted I'm back in exercise mode.

Tomorrow is sorted... a run up hill from the car garage...

RomaineCalm · 05/01/2020 19:38

Went for a walk this afternoon with DC - 6km - so Day 5 is complete.Smile

It all gets more challenging from tomorrow when we're back to work/school - I've enjoyed being able to get out in the afternoons this week and I'm really not a 'get up at 5am and go for a jog' person.

CantstandmLMs · 05/01/2020 21:30

Gym Saturday and a hike with the fella today. Work tomorrow but I'm glad to be back into routine as I do about 12-15k steps without thinking of it at work. Will be doing week 2 of couch to 5k after work...that'll be the challenge and not used to running in the dark but determined to keep it up.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 06/01/2020 09:15

Walking again today
Really hoping all the drugs I'm taking Grin will shift the lurgy quicker
Morning all red guys

I’ve just had another lovely tiddle toddle by the sea before I open up my laptop to see what shitness awaits.

Run to the pub this eve. Going to see if I can do it in 15. It’s just over a mile.

HerondaleDucks · 06/01/2020 09:44

Day 6 done. My car is in for service so walked to work this morning and will be walking back later. Including a dog walk later I'll be done.

HerondaleDucks · 06/01/2020 10:07

I love seeing how motivated everyone is. I've got a few people at work involved too.
Hope you feel better soon

ShinyGiratina · 06/01/2020 10:59

I'm home after dropping my car off. Took a more undulating, meandering scenic route home with plenty of walking intervals. I'll have part 2 to go and get her later... at least that's downhill and I'll go the more direct, steeper route.

Also started the day with some Adrienne yoga.

Assuming the car is back on schedule, it's swimming lessons tonight, and I normally get chance to have a splash about with them.

Karcheer · 06/01/2020 16:36

Hi All,

Jogged yesterday and today. Missed Saturday :(

HoundOfTheBasketballs · 06/01/2020 18:59

Well done everyone!

Today was the first real test as I was back at work but I managed to go for a run after work and see off another 3 miles. Actually ran my fastest 5K of the year so far! Grin
All runs will now be in the dark and the rain as it makes me go faster!

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 06/01/2020 20:12

Walked to and from work and then actually managed a 3.5k run tonight
Think all the meds have worked and I am so pleased I made it out
Would definitely not have bothered if I hadn't been doing red January

RomaineCalm · 06/01/2020 20:32

Managed C25K W1 R3.Smile

Given that it was dark and horrible out I don't think I would have bothered if it wasn't for this thread and a feeling that I didn't want to let the side down.
