DH and I have. Hoping it will keep me motivated and kickstart my half marathon training which has been non existent so far
Am aiming for a mix of gym, run, walk and cycle to get my target of being active every day and fingers crossed it's doable

100km moved
Not as much gym work or exercise as I wanted but this has certainly kept me moving when I would have not otherwise
Onwards to fit February Grin

All done here too!!
I feel quite proud, it hasn’t always been easy! And I raised £120 to date, which is fantastic!
Plus: I lost 5 kilos 😂
Minus: I had to buy new gym and running gear which proved a tad expensive.

But overall it’s been an amazing experience.
Well done everybody!!!

Well done everyone!! Feel like I'm ready for a permanent nap but I've covered over 200 km this month which is about a third of what I ran in all of 2019 so if nothing else, I'm off to an amazing start to 2020.

Day 31 - done ✅

I've done it!!!! Hurrah!!

I ran every day in January, a total of 110 miles. And I raised over £100 for a local charity. So chuffed. I got a lovely card and some biscuits from my work colleagues today too.

Well done everybody. You should all be incredibly proud of ourselves. Let's all make sure we have a drink later to celebrate!

Day 30 - done ✅

Fastest 5K of the year so far. Suggesting that all those PTs are right and consistency is key. 😁

Did another early morning slog today so that was my second big challenge this week of "can i possibly fit it in with the rest of my life" so that's good news.

I've also started the 30 days with Adriene thing and must say found day 1 sooooo boring, especially for the first half of just sitting there and breathing. Running it so much more immediately engaging for me. BUT that said, the second half was a push for me and even sitting I realised I've not stretched properly and have lost so much flexibility in the last few months. I'm trying to get some family members to join in with me though as could use their help motivating me for Feb.

Finish line is in site!

Run 23 today. My legs clearly had not forgiven me from Monday's hard 7 miler!

Tomorrow will be an odd one out as I'm having the legendary MN spa day. There will be exercise, but not outside. I suppose it's outside the house.

Oh how I'm looking forwards to a massage and sauna! Grin Grin Grin

I do yoga first thing in the morning. I'm a SAHM and don't need to get heavy with the DCs until 8am, so I get up around 7 which gives me a window to do the video in my pjs before I need to get into gear for the day. I creak a lot less for doing it (I'm not even 40 yet!) and I have noticed that although I'm far from naturally flexible, I can get a little further in some poses than I could such as bending and holding my rear leg up in pigeon.

It definitely works for me to do it first thing. I might be able to add in an extra video later, for example between pick-ups 1 & 2 I managed another 20 min session yoga for runners as a cool down following today's outdoor class.

I have had good phases of doing classes when there's been a suitable one nearby, but I'm getting more out of a little and often approach. Smile

Day 28 and week 4 completed. ✅

Hoping to complete 100 miles of walking/running this month if I can get out properly for the next couple of days.

I feel so much better for doing something every day but blimey, my legs feel tired and achey.

Still don't know what the plan is for February. I'd like to carry on even it's just a mile a day - I know how easy it'll be to fall back to 'oh well, I'll go out tomorrow instead'.

Day 28 - done ✅

3 miles round the lake at work in the sunshine.

I totally agree with you both @KillingEvenings and @ShinyGiratina, I feel better in myself since I started this and I think being outside every day has made a massive difference.
I've decided to continue running five days per week in Feb and doing some yoga/Pilates/stretching on my rest days. I definitely need something lower impact and strength building.

hear hear to feeling better than I did in December. Got up and did my early run this morning so feeling a bit like a superhero for accomplishing it. I think the being outdoors is such an important part of it.
Would be interested to hear how you are fitting in the yoga ShinyGiratina as I've got the schedule printed on my fridge but haven't dived in yet. Part of me feels like there are only so many hours in the day and I want to keep the running up, but I also know how singley focused in terms of fitness is just running is so I need to now bring in something else. I've got a few more days to figure out how I balance it for feb...

91 miles of exercise done this month so far... that's discounting my usual running around family life (often literally Grin)

7 tough miles run yesterday as I've got a trail HM next month. The first half was a slow slog uphill, but the second half was downhill and a similar time to my parkrun pb! Grin

I did a 10+ miles last week so I'm feeling pleased at how I've done, a lot to do with doing Adriene's Home yoga programme too I think. My goal has been to exercise outdoors every day, so there have been some walk days mixed in as I didn't want to risk injury with increasing long runs too.

I've felt so much better this month than I did in Nov & Dec. There has been some better weather and spring is creeping closer, but I think getting out every day is a big factor.

4 more days!!!! I’m so proud of myself! It really changed me:)
